Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1317: Chapter 430: Leaving Seclusion, Adding Hairpins and Botched Schemes, Glorious Great Xia and the Eve of the Boom (Part 4)

”Outer City North Sixth District Defender Peng Bo, pays respects to the Lord!”

”Outer City North Seventh District Defender Lin Ye, pays respects to the Lord!”

”Outer City North Eighth District Defender Li Yuankun, pays respects to the Lord!”

All 18 districts of East City are full, and North City has now expanded to 8 districts, which means Xia City currently has a total of 26 districts.

”No need for formalities, rise!”

[Population: 2,782,762]

Xia Hong opened the camp system and, upon seeing the population data, a knowing look flashed in his eyes as he gestured for the three below to stand.

”Tell me about the situations of the Camp Needs, Armament, and Hunting departments.”

Qiu Peng, the Director of the Camp Supply Department, was the first to step forward and, with a cupped fist, reported:

”Reporting to the Lord, after the fusion of the Three Towns, over the past year, many hunting teams have ventured to Muyin and Jiangxia, passing through the two towns into Moao Mountain for hunting and gathering. This has greatly reduced the resource pressure on our Camp Supply Department. Currently, the price of low-level beast meat remains stable at 5 contribution points per pound, while the prices of refined salt, spiritual wine, dan medicine, weapons, and other materials are also generally stable;

Secondly, since the opening of Hongmen over a year ago, it has brought the camp at least 15 million taels of silver in monthly income.

Due to the grand event of the Three Towns Martial Arts Tournament, since April this year, the revenues have been steadily climbing: 31.58 million taels in April, 48.21 million taels in May, 50.21 million taels in June, 50.18 million taels in July. Although there may be a slight decline in August, it is still expected to remain above 40 million taels.

The silver reserve of the Camp Supply Department, as of now, has reached 676.2 million taels. The exchange rate for silver within the camp remains at 100 contribution points per pound, and as before, it is only open for internal exchange within the camp, with each person’s exchange quota limited based on their cultivation and noble title;

Finally, there is the situation of the resources.

Last year, the Jiuqu Water Area was added, along with the entrance to Moao Mountain at He Yin Village. After the fusion of the Three Towns, many new hunting and gathering points in Muyin and Jiangxia were also added. Including all the new stations set up on Xing River North Bank and Bashang, there are currently 65 external stations in Great Xia, combined with 26 districts of Xia City, totaling 91 stations.

In the Seventh Year of Daxia, our annual earnings value is 1.397 billion.

Last year, the total earnings value of Great Xia amounted to 2.387 billion. This year, for the months of January to July alone, the total is 2.792 billion, and it is expected to exceed 4 billion for the year.”

Wow...

Upon hearing Qiu Peng’s last statement that this year’s total earnings value is expected to exceed 4 billion, the entire audience immediately burst into excitement.

Even Xia Hong, sitting at the head, couldn’t help but reveal a trace of excitement.

Earnings value was first created at the start of the Third Year of Da Xia by Xia Chuan, meaning the value created by the surplus of the stations. Simply put, it is the amount of resources that each station can supply to Xia City, with their value primarily measured in contribution points.

The earnings value has been operating in Great Xia for over six years now. Those present, being the high-level officials, naturally understand what it signifies.

The 2.792 billion earnings value, if entirely converted into equivalent contribution points, would translate into 27.92 million pounds of silver, 14,000 tons.

Of course, such a conversion method is quite crude and can only partially, or even one-sidedly, reflect the value of these resources, but it still holds some reference value.

The key point is, this is called earnings value!

It is the value created by surplus, not gross output value.

In other words, this 14,000 tons of silver is just the total value of resources supplied unilaterally by all the stations to Xia City in the first seven months.

Considering the population size of Great Xia now, maintaining the operation of all stations and the resources needed for everyone’s cultivation is definitely several times, or even a dozen times, this figure.

”Territory expansion, increase in hunting and gathering points, coupled with trade assistance, and the overall strengthening of the camp’s power, with these four factors combined, the surge in earnings value is only logical!”

Unlike the others’ exclamations, Xia Hong immediately analyzed the reasons behind the skyrocketing total earnings value in recent years, glanced at the full map of Great Xia’s territory at the back of the main seat, and felt a slight surge of excitement.

If the entire southern slope of Moao Mountain could be taken, the total earnings value of Great Xia could at least increase several times.

”Who came up with the idea of the Three Towns Martial Arts Tournament?”

Calming his emotions, Xia Hong immediately asked with a smile about the Three Towns Martial Arts Tournament Qiu Peng just mentioned.

Just hearing these four words, he already understood. However, he wanted to know whose idea it was, so he deliberately asked.

Qiu Peng immediately smiled and turned to the crowd.

”Reporting to the Lord, it was my idea!”

Lin Kai stepped out, his tone unusually enthusiastic, cupping his hands and continuing, ”Last year, the Lord mentioned accelerating the process of the Three Towns’ fusion. Holding a martial arts competition every year in Great Xia is just the right opportunity to enhance young people’s exchange. Initially, I only invited the two towns of Muyin and Jiangxia. Later, I thought, since we were inviting outsiders, why not open it up completely? So, although it’s nominally called the Three Towns Martial Arts Tournament, in reality, people from various towns on the southern slope of Moao came to participate...”

Hearing Lin Kai recount the beginnings and ends of the Three Towns Martial Arts Tournament, the appreciation on Xia Hong’s face grew more profound, and his expression toward Lin Kai became increasingly satisfied.

If he were to say he had not thought of these things, that would definitely be false.

But if he had to think of everything himself, how would today’s Great Xia differ from the Mud Slope period over a decade ago?

Xia Chuan, Yuwen Dao, Qiu Peng, Xu Ning, Yuan Cheng, Yue Feng, Lu Yang, and now Lin Kai, these people, not only in terms of strength, but their vision and ability to handle affairs, have all grown at a visible rate.

He can now spend more and more time focusing solely on cultivation!
