Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1313: Chapter 429: Holy Platform and Offerings, Four Xianyang Level Talents, Astonishing Gift, Ritual Process (Part 4)

From the reactions of Yue Yuan, Yue Bo, Yuan Shao, Xu Cheng, Xu Ping, Qiu Hong, Qiu Yang, and other children of the same age below, one could see that they were clearly stunned at first, but soon slightly lowered their heads, wanting to look but not daring to.

As for Xia Yusheng’s attire today, besides the silver threaded crown on his head, he was like a miniature version of Lord Xia Hong, dressed in black clothes, with silver thread interspersed along the edges, and wearing a pair of shiny black beast skin boots.

What’s more interesting is that Xia Yusheng’s waist had two custom-made small knives hanging on it, one longer and one shorter, clearly mimicking Lord’s usual Cold Blood Blade and Dragon Sparrow Saber attire.

Seeing this, everyone couldn’t help but let out a slight chuckle.

Of course, even if Xia Yuyao and Xia Yusheng’s attire was exquisite, it wouldn’t be big enough to elicit a bigger reaction than Li Xuanling breaking through to Xianyang Level.

The main reason is the strength of the two royals!

”21,800 pounds, 21,500 pounds, just turned six. With such talent, it might not be before they break through to Cold Resistance Level by the age of ten. In Great Xia, no, even in the Nine Towns, and Feudal Towns, it’s likely that there aren’t any with a higher aptitude than the two royals?”

Standing at the front, even the usually cold-tempered Yuwen Dao couldn’t help but silently let out a sigh of awe.

Yuwen Dao convinced himself that if anyone was more talented, it was only the Lord Xia Hong, even Minister Xia Chuan wasn’t that impressive to him. But seeing Xia Yuyao and Xia Yusheng’s current strength, a sense of the Yangtze River’s waves chasing each other arose in his heart.

If even he felt this way, Yuan Cheng, Qiu Peng, Xu Ning, Luo Yuan, and the others were even more taken aback, their eyes filled only with amazement and shock as they looked at the two royals.

”Father, what is the basis of the royals’ strength?”

All the adults present could easily recognize the true strength of the two royals, but it wasn’t the same for the children.

Especially the ones at the front, such as Yue Yuan, Yue Bo, Yuan Shao, Xu Cheng, Xu Ping, Qiu Hong, and the other kids, who found themselves unable to discern the strength of the two royals, were filled with curiosity in their eyes.

Among them, Yuan Shao, bolder than the rest, couldn’t help but quietly ask his father.

Yuan Cheng looked down at his son, instinctively wanting to answer but paused, shaking his head, and said, ”Don’t speak during the clan sacrifice.”

Upon hearing this, everyone’s expressions slightly stiffened, immediately deciding not to disclose it to their children when they returned home.

It would be too discouraging!

Contrarily, standing at the top, looking at his cousin and cousin sister, Xia Yuzong clearly showed a spark of determination in his eyes.

”I have been cultivating for over ten months now, and my basic strength is only twenty-three thousand pounds. Soon, Yu Yao and Yu Sheng will catch up; they will start cultivating after tonight, and their speed of strength improvement will certainly exceed my expectations. I must redouble my efforts, no, work ten to a hundred times harder, to bridge the gap. Otherwise, as their elder brother, I will fall too far behind and it would be disgraceful...”

Xia Yuzong quietly encouraged himself deep inside, determination evident in his eyes.

”Alright, get ready for Awakening, everyone close your eyes!”

Ring ring ring...

While everyone was still in awe of the strength of the two royals, Xia Chuan knocked the bell on the table three times, formally beginning the clan sacrifice.

The Major Clan Sacrifice, unlike their small clan’s sacrifice, is more intricate and formal, encompassing seven procedures: Bell Ringing, Awakening, Descending Spirit, Three Offerings, Presenting the Feast, Farewell Spirit, and Distribution.

The first step, Bell Ringing, announces the formal beginning of the clan sacrifice to everyone.

The second step, Awakening, involves Chief Ritualist Xia Chuan wiping the spiritual tablet, with all other sect leaders praying with closed eyes, symbolizing the calling forth of ancestral spirits. Since the Major Sect Leader Xia Hong is alive and did not set any ancestral spirit position, only a Great Xia spiritual position is set, so naturally, it’s the spirit of Great Xia that’s called forth.

The third step, Descending Spirit, requires everyone to open their eyes, with Chief Ritualist Xia Chuan placing silk on the table, then offering wine to the deity, followed by a kneeling ceremony. All members of the major and minor sects jointly perform the kneeling ritual with the Chief Ritualist.

The fourth step, Three Offerings, begins with Initial Offering where Chief Ritualist Xia Chuan offers wine to the deity. Secondary Offering by the Major Sect’s mother, alongside the Young Master and branch disciples, collectively offering wine to the deity. Final Offering where all sect leaders and heirs simultaneously offer wine to the deity.

The fifth step, Presenting the Feast, is about offering tributes.

The sixth step, Farewell Spirit, involves sending off the spirit, marking the nearing conclusion of the clan sacrifice.

The seventh step, Distribution, is the segment of distributing tributes.

This marks the fourth clan sacrifice of Great Xia, and most are familiar with the procedure already. Under Xia Chuan’s guidance, the first six steps proceeded swiftly.

Until the final step of Distribution was about to commence, Xia Chuan suddenly spoke.

”Hold on, this year’s distribution will be delayed!”

Everyone was taken aback, exchanging puzzled looks with bewilderment on their faces.

This was the part they most anticipated.

Why suddenly call it off?

But soon after, waiting no more than half an hour, a powerful aura surged from the direction of Star-picking Hall to the west. Everyone turned to look and immediately understood, faces full of excitement!
