Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 409: Chapter 97: Cloud Jiao Advances, Beast Blood Consumption

When Xia Chuan returned to the camp with nineteen people and that Thunder Kui, it didn’t cause much of a stir among the ordinary folks.

Not to mention the earliest batch of people from Great Xia, Xia Hong earlier, in order to quickly break through to the Cold Resistance Level, brought back three to four Intermediate Cold Beasts every night for nearly half a month, making them numb to the sight of Intermediate Cold Beasts.

The newly incorporated groups of Jing Xian and Five Ape Mountain were initially surprised, but after staying in the valley for so long, listening to the stories from the Great Xia folks, and seeing so many Intermediate Cold Beast materials with their own eyes, they ceased to be amazed.

Besides, it wasn’t the first time that the Cloud Jiao Team had brought back Intermediate Cold Beasts.

Not only Xia Chuan’s Cloud Jiao Team, but also Yuwen Dao’s Dragon Wu Team, had previously brought back a few Intermediate Cold Beasts.

Nowadays, everyone in the camp basically knew that these two teams had the capability to hunt Intermediate Cold Beasts.

But that’s to the audience of ordinary people.

For those from the Hunting Department, it’s a completely different story.

Ordinary people aren’t aware of the difficulty of going out to hunt Cold Beasts, but they are well aware.

So every time the two teams brought back Intermediate prey, the Hunting Department people would quickly gather to watch the excitement, congratulate them, and also seek out members of the two teams to learn hunting techniques and prepare for their own future hunts.

Of course, there’s also one most important factor.

Everyone in the Hunting Department knows that recently, these two teams have been vying for the title of Great Xia’s first Intermediate Hunting Team.

Some sharp-minded individuals, seeing that the Cloud Jiao Team brought back an Intermediate Thunder Kui this time, immediately had a look of realization after some mental calculations.

The Cloud Jiao Team has been promoted to an Intermediate Hunting Team!

The perceptive ones had already realized this;

The others found out three days later, on May 23rd, when Deputy Director Luo Yuan of the Hunting Department announced the news of the promotion.

As the news spread, the entire camp erupted, and a large crowd gathered at the entrance of the Hunting Department on the second floor to watch.

A wooden board was hanging at the entrance of the Hunting Department.

From top to bottom, it recorded the monthly contribution ranking of all the teams.

First place, Cloud Jiao Team: 44,300 (Intermediate)

Second place, Dragon Wu Team: 28,190

Third place, Divine Martial Team: 16,720

Fourth place, Vigorous Martial Team: 16,290

Fifth place, Tiger Leopard Team: 16,180

Sixth place, Heroic Martial Team: 16,020

Seventh place, Dragon Slayer Team: 15,890

…

Forty-seventh place, Xihua Team: 280

“Isn’t our Great Xia only supposed to have thirty Hunting Teams? Where did the other seventeen come from?”

“Ha, you didn’t know? Five days ago, the Minister ordered to lower the strength standard for creating a Hunting Team to 15,000. In the past few days, another seventeen teams have emerged.”

“No wonder, I was wondering how the contributions of the last dozen teams were so small.”

“You shouldn’t underestimate them. They are newly established, and the five Cold Beasts they hunt for assessment don’t count towards contributions. Take the Xihua Team for example, they only have 280 contributions, which means they’ve just hunted a low-level Snow Mane and handed it in. If you include the five assessment Cold Beasts and think about it…”

Upon hearing that person’s words, the crowd around them pondered for a moment and then their expressions immediately turned serious.

The assessment task for creating a Hunting Team is to hunt five different species of low-level Cold Beasts. Any team that makes it onto the contribution list must have completed it.

Since the Minister’s order was given only five days ago, these teams not only completed this assessment in those five days but also started bringing back more prey.

Take the Xihua Team, for example, they hunted at least six Cold Beasts in these five days, and there were five different species among them.

That’s not an easy feat.

“The Cloud Jiao Team of the Minister is too strong, it’s only the 23rd today, and they have 44,000 contributions. If you convert that to low-level Cold Beasts, it’s over a hundred, five each night, that’s a bit exaggerated.”

“Heh heh, to convert them all to low-level, you must be dreaming. Didn’t you notice that the suffix for the Cloud Jiao Team is intermediate? I heard that this month, the Cloud Jiao Team has already hunted seven Intermediate Cold Beasts.”

“An Intermediate Cold Beast, each one is at least over 4,000 points, seven would be nearly 30,000, no wonder it’s so high.”

“This is the first Intermediate Team in our camp, and it’s personally led by the Minister, don’t you think?”

“The Dragon Wu Team of Lord Chief Yuwen Dao isn’t bad either, they’ve already got 28,000, if you calculate it, it’s a lot too. But their contribution hasn’t changed, I remember seeing the same numbers a few days ago.”

“I know, five days ago there was a Beast Tide near Arrow Bamboo Forest, and I heard the Dragon Wu, Heroic Martial, and Mountain River teams were trapped in Jing Valley, and the leaders went over too, they haven’t returned in days, so of course their contributions haven’t changed.”

“No wonder, I was wondering why I hadn’t seen Lord Chief for several days.”

“Cloud Jiao Team with 44,000 contributions, if distributed evenly among the team members, averages to 2,200 points per person. The month isn’t over yet, by the end, they could earn 3,000 contribution points just from hunting?”

“You haven’t seen it, the members of the Cloud Jiao Team have their contribution values overflowing, I saw one normal team member exchange for two Beast Bone Chairs at the Camp Supply Department in one go, 70 points each, so extravagant.”

“As the first Intermediate Team, I heard the Hunting Department will give lots of rewards, and they’ll also expand the limit on team members, they should start recruiting soon.”

“Who told me before that the Minister didn’t have as much strength as the Lord Chief and said the Dragon Wu Team would surely be the first Intermediate Team of our Great Xia? I almost believed it.”
