Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 407: Chapter 196: Sword Puppet, the First Intermediate Squad_2

Qiu Peng knew this very well, so the target of his broad knife could only be the eyes of the Thunder Kui.

The broad knife in his hand was more than a meter long. If it were a normal creature, aiming for the eyes with a knife would be absurd. But facing this Intermediate Thunder Kui, or rather, all Cold Beasts, they clearly weren’t normal creatures.

This Thunder Kui was ten meters long. Saying its eyes were like lanterns was no exaggeration, but a true description.

Pfft…

Qiu Peng’s broad knife fell with a sound, slicing right through the lateral surface of Thunder Kui’s left eye, bursting blood and mucus instantly.

“Roar…”

The intense pain instantly triggered Thunder Kui’s ferocity, as evident from the furious roar it let out.

After the roar, the massive body of Thunder Kui froze for only two breaths, before it started to twist and stomp even more frantically.

Snap… crack…

“The rope is broken, be careful, sir.”

The five ropes specially made by intertwining Bamboo Silk and Teng Jiao Tendon were actually torn apart by Thunder Kui.

The quality of these ropes wasn’t as tough as when they were used as bowstrings for Xia Hong, yet they could still withstand a tension of fifty to sixty thousand pounds at least.

The key was that they were tied to the animal trap, and beyond the animal trap was just one of Thunder Kui’s injured legs.

The fact that the injured leg could exert such terrifying power could only indicate one thing:

“This Thunder Kui is going all out!”

Xia Chuan’s heart tightened, and his action of pulling the silk thread in his hand sped up by a few notches.

Crackle…

The dark sharp horn on Thunder Kui’s forehead suddenly released electricity, and Thunder Kui, whose speed hadn’t increased before, suddenly became extremely fast and agile.

Thunder Kui’s struggles could break ropes, cause the surrounding ground to tremble endlessly, and dodge all the Iron Arrows shooting towards itself, but it couldn’t shake off Qiu Peng.

Qiu Peng kept a tight grip on his broad knife, which was embedded in the surface of Thunder Kui’s left eye, and as Thunder Kui’s movements grew more intense, the wound caused by the knife widened.

He actually used the tremendous force generated by Thunder Kui’s struggles to change his grip posture on the knife, thereby inflicting more damage.

“Roar…”

Bang…

Thunder Kui let out another roar, its pupils flashing with blood, and a streak of electric arc suddenly appeared on the dark sharp horn on its forehead.

The next moment, Thunder Kui’s head seemed to flicker suddenly.

The inertia generated by that flicker actually threw Qiu Peng into the air.

Qiu Peng let go of his knife, a trace of panic flashing across his face.

Whiz…

Thunder Kui’s head flickered again, and the three-meter-long dark sharp horn, like a black lightning, pierced through the air towards Qiu Peng’s body.

Boom…

At the critical moment, the snow beneath Thunder Kui’s body suddenly exploded.

From within the piled snow, a crimson giant lying flat suddenly sat up and struck at Thunder Kui’s abdomen with a knife.

“Back off, shoot arrows from a distance!”

Xia Chuan shouted fiercely, pulling the silk thread in his right hand, signaling Qiu Peng to retreat, while he himself frantically backed away.

As he pulled the silk thread, the crimson giant which was sitting also quickly stood up, fully revealing itself before everyone’s eyes.

The crimson giant stood five meters tall, with a head, torso, and limbs, but strangely, its head had no details, only an open mouth, which was more like a big hole than a mouth.

Its torso was small proportionately, but its limbs were enormously thick.

Not just thick, the giant’s limbs were covered with countless spikes.

A closer look revealed that they were not spikes, but a series of coldly gleaming, upright sharp knives.

These sharp knives, though over a meter long, were so densely packed that they resembled a thicket of menacing blades, chilling onlookers.

Even more shocking were the ends of the giant’s limbs, not hands or feet, but four massive broad knives.

These four broad knives had blades three to four decimeters wide, and the blade bodies were over two meters long, the sides polished to a shining brightness, exuding an intense chill.

“Let’s see if your hide can withstand my Sword Puppet!”

Xia Chuan shouted sharply and pulled hard with his fingertips.

Five colorless transparent silk threads were attached to the head and limbs of the Sword Puppet, and with Xia Chuan’s pull, the Sword Puppet moved.

Since its hands and feet were broad knives, when the Sword Puppet stood, its legs’ dual knives stood on the ground. With Xia Chuan’s pull, its right leg immediately lifted abruptly, slicing viciously towards the underside of Thunder Kui’s neck.

The Sword Puppet’s sudden appearance from the snow caught this Thunder Kui a little off guard, and it hadn’t even recovered from the last cut.

How could it possibly react in time to this strike!

Whoosh…

The wide blade brought a streak of cold light in the snowy night, slicing fiercely through Thunder Kui’s neck area, leaving a more than meter-long blood mark.

Pfft…

“Keep firing arrows, aim at the wound!”

Seeing the Sword Puppet succeed, Xia Chuan didn’t relax, but continued to control it, lunging forward directly, using its limbs to attack Thunder Kui madly.

The Thunder Kui naturally wouldn’t sit idly by waiting for death, swinging its body to block the blade with its thick skin while its head’s sharp horn incessantly sought opportunities to stab at the Sword Puppet.

Pfft…

After all, it’s an Intermediate Cold Beast. Thunder Kui quickly found an excellent opportunity, using the impact force from the head’s quick flash to accurately pierce through the Sword Puppet’s abdomen.

After succeeding, a trace of violent pleasure immediately appeared in Thunder Kui’s fierce pupils.

Yet this pleasure didn’t last a moment, the next second, it froze, gradually turning into deep fear and horror.
