Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

268: Chapter 155 Lone Ranger, Xing Valley Pass_3 268: Chapter 155 Lone Ranger, Xing Valley Pass_3 At the same time, a lush Wooden Forest stretching from west to east and climbing diagonally upward came into view.

Xia Hong gazed southward, then turned back to look to the north, toward his own valley, and immediately gained a sense of the entire outline of Twin Dragon Mountain.

The whole Twin Dragon Mountain runs from north to south; its exact length is unclear, but the east-west span, according to Gao Yu’s words, should be at least two hundred kilometers.

From south to north, aside from some occasional concave or convex mountain bodies, most of it consists of mountain walls over two thousand meters high, with the only gap likely being the place where the Xing River flows through, which is the slope currently before them.

In other words, the Great Xia Valley, Redwood Ridge, Arrow Bamboo Forest, and Pingxi Plain are all located at the valley bottom on the west side of Twin Dragon Mountain, and the only probable connection to the outside world is this slope before them.

Xia Hong climbed to the top of a big tree to overlook the entirety of the slope.

The slope stretches only about ten miles from north to south, with the Xing River taking up half of it in the middle.

Xia Hong played it out in his mind for a moment, then looked at the slope, his expression changing immediately.

“As long as this slope is blocked and the Xing River is controlled, the connection between the valley bottom and the outside can be completely severed.”

This important strategic location is right next to the Great Xia Station!

“Hahaha, I’m thinking too far ahead…”

Xia Hong lowered his head, mocking himself.

The Great Xia’s current activity range is restricted by the Mirror Immortal Camp to within a kilometer of the valley.

Despite the importance of this valley, it has nothing to do with the current Great Xia.

“Only when Great Xia can integrate all the humans at the valley bottom on the west side of Twin Dragon Mountain, can we consider heading east through this path to the outside world, to see the real Moao Mountain and Beishuo Town mentioned by Yang and Li, and what those other Eight Towns are really like!”

Xia Hong took a deep breath, calming his ambition, leaped off the big tree, took out the map, and marked the location of the slope, noting:

[Xing Valley Pass]

“There should be quite a few human campsites around here, but they must be distributed at a considerable distance from the north and south banks of the Xing River, unless there’s a very strong camp able to utilize the resources of the Xing River.”

Xia Hong shook his head slightly, the probability of that is almost none.

Even he, with Cold Resistance Level strength, dared not approach within a hundred meters of the Xing River.

For there to be a camp able to utilize the resources of the Xing River here, it’s impossible.

The two most important prerequisites for suitable human campsites are resources and a naturally formed concealed environment.

Though Xing Valley Pass is a slope, that’s the general situation; the mountain rises gradually from west to east.

Judging from the lush Wooden Forest and the undulating mountain terrain in this area, there are surely many human camps hidden inside.

Xia Hong didn’t hesitate; after pondering for a moment, he dived straight into the dense forest.

Sure enough, upon venturing less than a mile into the forest, Xia Hong discovered footprints in the snow, temporarily formed piles of firewood, scattered Iron Arrows, and even beast skin products used by humans.

A hint of joy emerged on Xia Hong’s face as he carefully examined the Iron Arrows and beast skin products, and got a preliminary idea of the development situation of the human camps in this area.

“The craftsmanship of the Iron Arrows is lacking, and the beast skins are all from low-level Cold Beasts.

It’s slightly worse than the situation at Rogel Camp before.

In the coming days, I’ll need to come more often; barring any unforeseen circumstances…”

Xia Hong climbed another big tree, looked around, and soon spotted five small hills, each no higher than two to three hundred meters on average.

Human habits are universal, and no camp can realistically dig and build a fortress on its own unless its Earth-digging Realm has reached a certain magnitude.

Therefore, any weaker camp would choose a site with natural caves as its shelter.

Finding a naturally advantageous valley like Rogel Camp is a rarity among rarities.

Calling it heaven’s favor isn’t an exaggeration.

Looking at the five small hills, although Xia Hong’s expression was intrigued, he ultimately sighed, suppressing his immediate thoughts.

“Better leave a mark for now; the timing isn’t ripe yet!”

Great Xia currently isn’t secure itself, and it’s hardly the time to absorb other human camps.

Even if he found the human camps in this area, he couldn’t lead them alone to migrate to the other side of the valley.

After marking the location on the map, Xia Hong turned and left decisively.
