Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

“During this time, I’ll make a concerted effort to gather all the beast blood I need!”

The Great Xia’s restrictions had already begun to be enforced.

From the third night, everyone in the entire camp, whether gathering, logging, or hunting, was not allowed to leave the valley more than a kilometer.

In the short term, it was impossible for the Hunting Team to accompany him outside.

Not just the Hunting Team, even Xia Hong himself had spent the past four nights circling around the edges of the camp, emerging from different points.

After leaving the valley, not to mention the northern side of Redwood Ridge, he didn’t even go to the middle section, heading straight to the southern side of Redwood Ridge.

Before breaking through to the Cold Resistance Level, he avoided any contact with the Mirror Immortal Camp.

“Thirty Intermediate Cold Beasts, based on the current hunting efficiency, it should only take more than half a month.

I hope nothing else happens during this period.”

Xia Hong packed the collected beast blood, then turned his head to look at the eastern perimeter, his expression slightly shifting.

His current location was six kilometers south of Redwood Ridge, about two kilometers deep.

Going out to the eastern perimeter would lead to the former earth slope of the Great Xia’s camp.

In other words, going further south would be an unfamiliar region.

Xia Hong thought for only a moment, quickly hid the Snow Mane he had on the ground up in a tree, marked the spot, and headed directly towards the eastern perimeter of Redwood Ridge.

After exiting Redwood Ridge and reaching the previous earth slope camp, Xia Hong hesitated not at all and continued southward.

The initial plan was for the Earth-digging Realm people of the camp to expand southward, but due to the incident with the Mirror Immortal Camp, he estimated that only he could travel outside in the short term.

Since that’s the case, he’ll go ahead alone and scout out the situation!

Twin Dragon Mountain is formed by the conjunction of the northern and southern mountain bodies, with the early Great Xia earth slope actually being part of the southern extension of Twin Dragon Mountain.

Information obtained from Gao Yu allowed him to deduce that they must all be located under the western cliff of Twin Dragon Mountain.

Twin Dragon Mountain stretches over two hundred miles east to west, and Gao Yu wasn’t sure about the north-south distance, estimating that the scale of the mountain was far beyond imagination.

In other words, the entire Redwood Ridge, including the northern Pingxi Plain and the Arrow Bamboo Forest, as well as larger areas, should all be under the western cliff of Twin Dragon Mountain.

Xia Hong had walked only a kilometer south along the earth slope when the mountain began to curve inward, to the east.

To continue exploring, he would have to turn left into the eastern inner perimeter.

“The mountain curves in rather than breaks off, and it continues to extend southward.

By visual estimation, it’s at least a hundred miles long, but there is a river to the south, meaning that this river flows from the top of Twin Dragon Mountain.

It’s unclear if we are considered the middle or lower course of the river…”

Xia Hong estimated the southern distance of the extended Twin Dragon Mountain and then looked towards the icy river a kilometer south, lost in thought.

Separated by a kilometer, the pervasive cold mist above the river was exceptionally conspicuous.

Though the river’s surface was unclear, based on the ice crystals on the outer layer of Redwood Ridge’s trees, it’s inferred that the river’s surface was covered by an unusually hard layer of ice.

In such an extremely cold, frozen world, a flowing river is itself an unreasonable phenomenon, not to mention that Luo Ming mentioned not seeing any signs of Cold Beast activity around the icy river.

Xia Hong could basically ascertain that there must be terrifying creatures underwater.

On land, the surviving Cold Beasts were already so mighty.

To live underwater trapped beneath thick ice and frighten other Cold Beasts from approaching, the fearsome nature of these aquatic creatures can well be imagined.

“Aquatic creatures should be of higher value than land creatures; water itself is an extremely scarce resource; moreover, it can be used to deduce the terrain’s orientation and the current location of the Great Xia.

It’s just unfortunate that current strength is insufficient.

Trying to use this river is undoubtedly impossible for now, only when strength is sufficient in the future!”

Xia Hong continued towards the south for another seven or eight hundred meters, and as he got closer to the icy river, an inexplicable sense of dread welled up inside him.

Though he could only see the swirling mist of cold on the water’s surface and the crystalline green water plants by the riverbank, the fear seemed to arise out of nowhere.

When there was only a little over a hundred meters left to the icy river, Xia Hong’s heart began to pound violently.

This extreme sense of danger was even more intense than when he first hunted the Snow Mane and mistakenly ventured four kilometers deep into Redwood Ridge.

Xia Hong stopped in his tracks, gazing at the icy river mist in front of him.

He took a deep breath before turning towards the left, toward the southern cliff of Twin Dragon Mountain.

“Living water, aquatic Cold Beasts, various scarce items underwater, including those crystalline green water plants, are undoubtedly treasures; if this river can be utilized in the future, the camp’s survival environment will definitely improve…”

Xia Hong turned his head while walking, looking at the icy river.

After contemplating for a moment, he took out a map and marked the river’s location:

[Xing River]

Luo Ming should have also approached this river before, but he did not name this river, so Xia Hong decided to give it a new name himself.

Of course, naming it was secondary.

More importantly, Xia Hong placed great value on this river.

“Once the Xing River can be utilized, the strength of the Great Xia should be enough to dominate the entire Redwood Ridge area!”

Xia Hong continued to explore along the southern cliff, progressing about four kilometers forward, and the east-west extending cliff began to resume a north-south orientation.
