Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

“It’s Xu Ning and Lin Kai!”

Upon hearing these two names, the others instantly had a grim expression.

“Those two fools, they didn’t go too far, did they?”

“It’s their first time hunting outside, they have no experience, they might have wandered off.”

“Spread out, search along the edge…”

Xia Hong instinctively abandoned the idea of searching the northwest side and instructed everyone to split up to find the two, but before he could finish, Lin Kai’s voice came from the east side.

“Leader, leader, come quickly, I’ve made another huge discovery!”

Lin Kai’s face showed obvious excitement; he didn’t even walk over but directly called out to Xia Hong from ten meters away.

Xia Hong looked doubtful but, seeing nothing unusual about Lin Kai, followed him over.

The others exchanged glances.

Though they also looked skeptical, they followed once they saw Xia Hong go over.

They followed Lin Kai eastward for over 300 meters and then saw Xu Ning waving at them from a distance atop a large tree.

At the sight of Xu Ning, everyone’s pupils suddenly contracted.

“There’s a Cold Beast on Xu Ning’s head!”

“The Cold Beast isn’t moving, is it asleep?”

“Demon Sheep, it’s a Demon Sheep.”

“No, wait, it seems like…”

…

As everyone exclaimed in shock, they quickly took out their bows and arrows.

The fastest Zhao Long brothers were already nocking their arrows, ready to shoot.

“Wait, the Demon Sheep is already dead!”

Leading the way, Xia Hong interrupted the group’s discussion.

With joy on his face, he made some guesses in his heart and then quickly dashed towards Xu Ning.

“Leader, this Demon Sheep is already dead, and it has many wounds.

It should be prey hunted by someone else and temporarily stored here!”

On the big tree, Xia Hong reached out to touch the knife wound on the Demon Sheep’s forehead.

As he saw the blood at the wound still hadn’t fully dried, his expression immediately turned strange.

The others also climbed the tree by now.

Looking at the large Demon Sheep’s body posed as if it were asleep, they pondered for a moment, and their expressions became playful.

“Is this hunted by the Mirror Immortal Camp?”

“It must be.

Like us, one a night isn’t enough, so they hunt first and hide it here, planning to take it back after the hunt!”

“Hahahaha, this is truly…”

“Isn’t this pretty much a freebie for us?”

“Hahahaha, let’s see if they dare to reach out recklessly again, this will be interesting, we haven’t hunted a Demon Sheep before!”

……

The mood among the Hunting Team became excited instantly.

At this moment, Xia Hong put away his strange expression, pondered a bit, turned to Xia Chuan, and ordered, pointing at the Demon Sheep: “Drain all its blood!”

“Leader, aren’t we taking the meat?”

An Intermediate Cold Beast’s main value is its blood; its meat is not much different from a Low-level Cold Beast’s, yet an Intermediate Cold Beast yields at least four to five thousand catties of meat.

Just leaving it to the Mirror Immortal Camp, the group still felt a bit reluctant.

“We need to leave the meat; otherwise, how will they know we drained the blood?

Hahahahaha…”

Xia Chuan quickly caught on, laughed a couple of times, took out a leather bag, directly cut open the chest area of the Demon Sheep, and started draining the blood.

The others were initially stunned by Xia Chuan’s words, but then they immediately understood, each showing a mischievous smile on their faces.

Right, if they took the entire Cold Beast away, the other side might think some other Cold Beast did it; draining the blood and leaving the meat makes it obvious it was man-made.

“The Demon Sheep they risked their lives to hunt, and now all its blood is drained by us, haha!”

In just a moment, all the Demon Sheep’s blood was drained.

Xia Chuan packed away the Beast Skin Pouch and couldn’t help but laugh a few more times.

Xia Hong couldn’t help but feel delighted, turning to Lin Kai and Xu Ning with a face full of praise, and he gallantly said: “Xu Ning and Lin Kai did well.

Let’s count this bag of Demon Sheep Blood as 3000 Contribution Points, you two split it!”

Hearing they would each get 1500 Contribution Points, Lin Kai and Xu Ning were momentarily stunned and then, with excitement, bowed towards Xia Hong:

“Thank you, leader!”

For their first outing, without even beginning the hunt for Cold Beasts, they each received 1500 Contribution Value.

Lin Kai and Xu Ning were full of excitement; even Xia Chuan, Luo Yuan, and the others nearby couldn’t help but feel a bit envious.

“Alright, Luo Yuan, lead the way, let’s see if it’s them in the northwest!”

From the traces observed in the periphery before, the Mirror Immortal Camp has come over quite a few times these past few weeks, and who knows how many Intermediate Cold Beasts they’ve hunted.

These Cold Beast Resources all belong to the Great Xia Camp!

Just the blood of this one Demon Sheep is not enough to repay them.

A gleam of determination flashed in Xia Hong’s eyes as he had Luo Yuan lead the way, directing the group towards the location of the noise he had just heard.

The group followed Luo Yuan, walked about a kilometer northwest, and soon sensed the stirring of the ground coming from a distance.

“To the west, judging by the sound, it’s about four to five hundred meters away!”

Even at night, the visibility at Redwood Ridge is actually not low.

The main issue is the trees; these big trees often have diameters of more than ten meters, some even thicker, so if one gets far enough away, the view is easily obstructed, and you can only judge the direction and approximate distance by the sounds.

After getting up from the ground, Xia Hong turned to the group and said: “Same as before, Xia Chuan and Luo Yuan follow me, and the rest of you take our positions as the base, spread out behind us.

Be ready with your bows and arrows when you spot someone, and watch for my hand signals!”
