Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Second floor of the wooden cabin, at the entrance of the Camp Supply Station.

“This sword, over six hundred pounds, is really something!”

“Swords are for close combat, but this Ten-stone Iron Bow is even more impressive.”

“My brother-in-law said, when we go hunting with the leader, we basically have no chance to engage in close combat; we mainly use bows and arrows.”

…

Lin Kai and Xu Ning were visibly excited, constantly gesturing with the large swords and Iron Core Bows in their hands, occasionally whispering to each other.

The members of the Logging Realm, who came to the Camp Supply Station to submit resources, couldn’t help but show envy in their eyes when they saw the two and the weapons in their hands.

Even Shi Ping, who had just distributed the weapons to them, occasionally cast envious glances their way.

Everyone in the camp basically knew by now that of the three who simultaneously broke through to the Earth-digging Realm the day before yesterday, besides Cheng Feng who still had to lead the Collection Team, Lin Kai and Xu Ning had both been promoted to the Hunting Team.

Camp Supply Station, Craftsmen Workshop, Hunting Team, Logging Team, Collection Team.

Although officially, the five departments of the Great Xia each have their roles and there is supposed to be no distinction of high or low status, people love to compare, especially when contribution value is quantified, making the differences in treatment and status very apparent.

The members of the Hunting Team, rightfully belong to the first tier of the Great Xia, and their status is even slightly higher than the leaders of the other three departments—Cheng Feng, Bai Dongying, and Mu Dong.

The reason is simple: strength and contribution points.

Take clothing as an example, currently, the only members in the entire camp who wear full sets of clothes are those of the Hunting Team—in fact, most of their families do as well.

Meanwhile, the rest of the four departments, totaling over a hundred people, only managed to wear clothes because of contribution points gained from driving away rodents the last time, and the proportion cannot compare to that of the Hunting Team.

Of course, part of this is due to the number of people involved, but everyone knows the most important factor is the ability to earn contribution points, which the other four departments lack compared to the Hunting Team.

The current ways to earn contribution points in the camp boil down to collection and hunting.

The people in the other four departments can only collect, and they can only gather wood and Crystal Fruit, at most earning a dozen points per day, which is the limit.

But for members of the Hunting Team, it’s different.

Just with mining, they can earn over fifty points a day; and by routinely forging ironware, going out to hunt Low-level Cold Beasts, gathering medicinal materials from deep within Redwood Ridge, and sometimes being tasked with protecting Logging Realm members who go out to gather…

They simply have more ways to earn contribution points.

Not to mention that the amount gained in a single collection is also much greater.

More importantly, it’s about following the leader out to hunt Intermediate Cold Beasts.

Everyone in the camp now knows a single Intermediate Snow Mane is worth 4500 contribution points, and the leader does not take a share.

In the last half-month, the Hunting Team has brought back three Intermediate Snow Manes each night.

This means the fifteen members of the Hunting Team take home 900 contribution points each night…

One night, 900 points!

900 contribution points, what does that mean?

It means in one night, you can exchange for six sets of clothes, or a Five-stone Iron Core Bow, a large sword, dozens of ordinary iron tools, or other wooden products, and Beast Skins, and even more…

Just this fact is enough to drive everyone insane with desire.

Anyone in the camp with a sense of ambition is now pushing hard, eager to break through to the Earth-digging Realm and join the Hunting Team.

So it’s no wonder that Lin Kai and Xu Ning, who had a head start, arouse such envy.

“Alright, you two, your smiles are reaching your ears, stop showing off.

Have you applied the Solidified Fire Oil?”

The other members of the Hunting Team were also gradually gathering.

Yue Feng saw their smug expressions, and jokingly teased them.

“Hahaha, brother-in-law, we’ve applied it long ago.”

“Hehehe, it’s rare to have a chance to go out with the leader.

As soon as it got dark, Lin Kai and I came here to get ready.

We were just waiting for you all and the leader!”

Yue Feng is Lin Kai’s brother-in-law, and along with Xu Ning and Lin Kai, were part of the first batch of Logging Realm members of the Great Xia, so the three have close relationships.

“The first time going out, and you two rented both the large sword and the Iron Core Bow.

The combined rental for one month requires 100 contribution points.

You might not even earn that back!”

“Adding in the Solidified Fire Oil and torches, you two haven’t even started earning contribution points, and you’ve already spent over 150 points.

Make sure you don’t end up in the red!”

Luo Yuan and Zhao Long standing by couldn’t help but join in teasing.

“Ah, what should I do?

My contribution points are not enough!”

Lin Kai feigned nervousness, but his acting was too obvious, and everyone who saw it couldn’t help but laugh softly.

“Don’t fool me, I’ve already dug up the info—going out with the leader even once brings in at least 900 contribution points.

Let alone these things costing only 150 points a month, even if it’s 1500, I wouldn’t be scared!”

“Hahahahahaha……”

Everyone burst into laughter, and even Luo Yuan and Zhao Long who tried to tease back couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Xia Chuan, who came out of the Camp Supply Station, also couldn’t help but laugh.

As long as they can steadily go out with Xia Hong, renting these materials—never mind just 1500 points, even if it’s double that, they would rent without hesitation, because even in such a case, they would still make a profit.
