Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 641: Chapter 282: The Importance They Placed on This Is Just Over the Top!

Two hours later, the people from Lin Jie’s 4S shop finished handling the temporary plates.

Their manager personally organized the car handover ceremony.

Once everything was settled, Lin Jie handed the car keys to Zhang Jingdong with both hands.

Zhang Jingdong didn’t take them but instead turned to look at Zhou Zhou.

Lin Jie instantly understood and immediately offered the car keys to Zhou Zhou with a look of envy and blessing.

Zhou Zhou instinctively waved her hand, then looked towards Zhang Jingdong.

Zhang Jingdong seriously said, ”This is your car, so of course, you should be the one to drive it.”

Zhou Zhou was immediately a bit hesitant: ”But I... I haven’t driven in a long time, I’m afraid...”

Zhang Jingdong interrupted, ”Don’t worry, I’m here. No matter how you drive, I guarantee nothing will happen.”

Zhou Zhou saw that Zhang Jingdong was serious and not joking. She herself was actually capable of driving but just felt embarrassed to take the car keys directly.

So she nodded, ”Alright then.”

She then took the keys Lin Jie handed over.

”Sister Lin, thanks!”

Lin Jie replied with a smile, ”I should be the one thanking you guys. Also... Zhou Zhou, I sincerely wish you well with Mr. Zhang. Mr. Zhang is definitely your destined partner.”

Zhou Zhou turned to glance at Zhang Jingdong, then nodded shyly and happily, ”Thank you.”

They chatted for a bit more, then Zhang Jingdong and the others got into the car.

Zhou Zhou operated the car and drove it out of the 4S shop.

Zhang Jingdong noticed her skillful operations and commented, ”Zhou Zhou, you’re too modest. Your driving skills are quite impressive, really. Among the female drivers I’ve seen, you’d easily rank in the top three.”

Zhou Zhou pouted, ”Are they prettier than me?”

Zhang Jingdong immediately scolded himself internally; why mention this for no reason? Are you afraid she’ll remember Xiao Fei?

He quickly said, ”Of course not. You’re the prettiest among all the female drivers I’ve seen!”

”You weren’t being truthful; at least Xiao Fei is prettier than me.”

”But she doesn’t have a driver’s license; she can’t drive either.”

Only then did Zhou Zhou smile, ”Alright, thanks for the compliment, boss.”

”You actually called me boss, not happy!”

”Then... what should I call you?”

”What do you think? Anyway, it starts with ’old,’ think it over?”

Zhou Zhou blinked her pretty eyes, ”Then I’ll call you... Old Gun?”

”Wha...what? Old Gun? What does that mean?”

Zhou Zhou immediately felt both shy and joyful, ”You figure it out yourself.”

Zhang Jingdong turned to observe Zhou Zhou’s facial expressions, vaguely guessed something, but deliberately didn’t mention it.

Instead, he said, ”Where are we headed now?”

Zhou Zhou shook her head, ”I don’t know either, where do you want to go?”

Zhang Jingdong thought for a moment and said, ”I don’t have anywhere I particularly want to go right now. Why don’t you just drive around the city and we’ll enjoy the breeze?”

”...Alright then.”

Five minutes later, Zhou Zhou suddenly hesitated, ”Are you... leaving tonight?”

Though Zhang Jingdong felt a bit reluctant, he still nodded, ”Yes, do you remember the cultural shirt that Xiao Fei wore on stage yesterday?”

Zhou Zhou forced herself to hold back her internal disappointment, ”I remember, what’s up?”

”I started a clothing design company; the shirt she wore was designed and produced by my company. With her promotion yesterday, it’ll definitely sell like crazy in the coming days, so I have to return to handle things...”

Just then, his phone rang.

He took it out and glanced at it.

What a coincidence, it was Lin Xirui.

He thought for a moment, then answered, ”Hello...”

”Boss, just as you expected, our clothes are selling like crazy!”

Zhang Jingdong, trying to suppress Lin Xirui’s excitement, deliberately sounded excited too, ”How much has sold online?”

”Currently 60,000 pieces, but the number is rapidly increasing.”

”Great, I’ve already notified President Liang’s side, they’ll accelerate production in the coming days, should barely keep up with demand!”

”Alright... when... when are you coming back? We... miss you!”

Upon hearing this, Zhang Jingdong felt both amused and awkward.

It was amusing because Lin Xirui was becoming more open and dared to say this directly to him, probably owing to the product’s success and her happiness.

But it was awkward because her sudden openness was ill-timed, given that he’d just told Zhou Zhou he had to leave tonight due to business commitments.

Since Lin Xirui expressed this, Zhou Zhou would surely suspect that maybe he was going back to see Lin Xirui rather than for the business reason he mentioned.

But he couldn’t blame Lin Xirui; it wasn’t her fault.

Yet, he couldn’t directly respond either, so he quickly thought for a bit before suddenly coughing twice, ”Cough... I’ll head back tonight. You’re all so busy over there, I can’t just do nothing as the boss!”

Lin Xirui realized immediately when he coughed that he might be with Xiao Fei and replied with a slightly annoyed tone, ”Alright, got it, you keep busy then, see you tonight!”

”See you tonight!”

Zhang Jingdong hurriedly ended the call.

He didn’t dare to immediately look at Zhou Zhou.

He knew that the more he tried to explain, the more suspicious she’d become.

Rather than that, it’s better to act cool.

Two minutes later, Zhou Zhou suddenly asked, ”What’s her name?”

Zhang Jingdong’s heart tightened, instinctively acted clueless, ”Who?”

”The person who called you just now.”

”Oh... her? She’s Lin Xirui, the general manager of my clothing design company.”

”Does she know how to drive?”

Zhang Jingdong understood he couldn’t hide it from her anymore and sighed, ”No.”

”Is she prettier than me?”
