Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 547: Chapter 248 Love Settled at Long Yue (Large Chapter, Subscription Request)_3

It took Long Yue less than ten minutes to initially grasp some key points.

But just as Zhang Jingdong was about to start teaching her the formal material, a howl suddenly came from not too far away.

Both of them snapped to attention.

Zhang Jingdong quickly helped Long Yue get dressed, and then the two hid behind the nearest large tree.

About three minutes later, a moving creature appeared in the distance within their field of vision.

After it had walked another ten meters or so towards them, Zhang Jingdong suddenly couldn’t help but laugh—it was a wild boar!

It was about one meter tall and nearly two meters long; roughly estimated, it must weigh at least 200 pounds.

This kind of wild boar was very common in the mountains around Jiangdu, and due to their frequent damage to the nearby villages and even several incidents of wild boar attacks, the government allowed people to hunt them at will.

Zhang Jingdong’s eyes followed the wild boar and he said quietly to Long Yue, ”Tsk tsk, looks like we’ve got our dinners sorted for the next few days!”

Long Yue was first thrilled, but then, remembering something, she said with some concern, ”Although this wild boar doesn’t look big, it’s not easy to deal with, mainly because we don’t have suitable weapons.”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong pulled out a Swiss Army knife and an Italian-made Fox jungle combat knife from his military pack, ”Don’t worry, I have my ways. You just wait here for me!”

Long Yue immediately responded, ”No, it’s too dangerous, I’ll go with you!”

”Be good!”

Zhang Jingdong affectionately ruffled Long Yue’s hair and, seeing that she still disagreed, he continued, ”Here’s the plan: once I make a move, if I don’t manage to take it down within one minute, then you can come over and help.”

Long Yue finally nodded slowly, ”...Okay, please be very careful!”

”Don’t worry, tonight I must let you taste my best roasted wild boar meat!”

Saying this, he kissed her cheek, then quietly made a wide detour and finally got behind the wild boar.

After that, he inched closer to the wild boar, step by step, quickly narrowing the distance between them to less than ten meters.

Then, with the knife in his mouth, Zhang Jingdong went down on all fours and continued to approach the wild boar stealthily.

But when there were only five meters left, the wild boar seemed to sense danger. It abruptly turned around, spotted Zhang Jingdong, and went on the offensive, baring its tusks.

Zhang Jingdong was well-prepared, rolling away to dodge the wild boar’s attack.

However, the boar was agile, quickly halting and turning to charge at Zhang Jingdong again.

Unable to hold back anymore, Long Yue shouted, ”I’m coming to help you!”

With that, she charged forward.

Zhang Jingdong called out urgently, ”You draw its attention from the front, I’ll look for an opportunity to attack!”

”Okay!”

The wild boar had been about to attack Zhang Jingdong again, but when it saw Long Yue charging towards it, it gave up on attacking Zhang Jingdong and instead turned to run at Long Yue.

Holding the knife, Zhang Jingdong quickly caught up to the boar.

When it was less than three meters away from Long Yue, Zhang Jingdong struck its left hind leg with the knife.

The boar fell to the ground in pain.

Zhang Jingdong then finished it off with a slice across its throat.

After a moment of pitiful howling, the wild boar gradually fell silent.

Long Yue then came over to Zhang Jingdong, expressing concern, ”How are you, are you okay?”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile, ”I’m fine, lucky you came out, otherwise this thing would have been tough to handle!”

Long Yue remarked with admiration, ”You are really impressive! Once during training we also encountered a few wild boars. In the end, it took more than half an hour before several of us chased them away.”

”You killed it with just two strikes. Had you learned hunting before?”

Zhang Jingdong made a face, ”I’ve never actually learned it, but as you know, your husband is naturally intelligent. I watched a TV show once about hunters in the northeast.”

”They deal with wild boars and bears mostly by injuring their legs first, then going for the throat.”

”I had a sudden inspiration just now, remembered that scene and tried it out—I didn’t expect it to actually work!”

Long Yue suddenly realized, ”So that’s how it is. But to learn to do it like this after just one watch, that’s really impressive!”

Zhang Jingdong then teasingly pinched Long Yue’s chin, ”Long’er, praising me like this, are you trying to get something from me?”

Long Yue gave him a sideways glance, ”Get serious, I’m just purely praising you. Later when we get back, they’ll undoubtedly heap praises on you too!”

”Don’t change the subject. Before that fellow showed up, we were about to start our lesson. This is just a minor interlude, let’s continue now!”

Long Yue pointed at Zhang Jingdong’s clothes, ”You’re all wet, let’s hurry back and you can change. The temperature changes quickly up in the mountains, don’t catch a cold.”

Zhang Jingdong looked down and only then realized his clothes were indeed soaked with sweat, probably from the excitement of the tussle with the wild boar.

So, he looked up and said, ”Today we can head back first. But you can’t go back on your word another day, can you? We have already opened our hearts to each other, and now you’re already my woman, you can’t regret it!”

Long Yue smiled contentedly, ”Don’t worry, I’ve promised you, and I definitely won’t back out.”

Zhang Jingdong felt moved, kissed her cheek, and continued, ”Then, when the time is right, if I want to teach you, you can’t refuse me, otherwise, I’ll have to learn from the Overlord of Western Chu!”

Long Yue pursed her lips, ”I know you’re tough; I will listen to you, okay?”

Zhang Jingdong then nodded in satisfaction, ”Good girl!”
