The two chatted for a bit more, then Zhang Jingdong said, ”Alright, let’s talk business now.”

”However, President Liang, I’d like to remind you that although our bet was separate, business is business. You wouldn’t hold a grudge against me over the punishment I gave you earlier and make things difficult for me in business, right?”

Liang Feng gave him a sidelong look: ”I’m not that petty. Besides, you’re the buyer and I’m the supplier here, it should be you not making things difficult for me!”

”Oh... I totally forgot about that, well then... these are our design drafts...”

As he spoke, Zhang Jingdong smoothly opened his bag, took out all the design drafts, and handed them over to Liang Feng.

Liang Feng glanced at them briefly, then asked, ”I forgot to ask earlier, what’s the name of your clothing company?”

Zhang Jingdong pointed to the design draft: ”The name of our company is under the label on these clothes, ZL Clothing Design Company.”

”Alright, we generally offer three qualities of clothing manufacturing here, corresponding to different prices as well. For T-shirts, they are 10 Huaxia Coins, 15 Huaxia Coins, and 20 Huaxia Coins each. Which one do you want?”

”What quality does Anda want?”

”20 Huaxia Coins.”

”Then I want the same.”

Liang Feng kindly reminded him: ”Are you sure? Anda chose that because they have successfully built their brand. But you’re just starting out. If your costs are the same as theirs, you won’t have a price advantage and it might be tough to sell!”

Zhang Jingdong casually said: ”I think what makes a garment sell is not just its price, but the quality and our marketing strategy are key. You don’t have to worry about that; I’ll guarantee you a surprise when the time comes.”

”Fine, I’m curious to see what your move will be then.”

Liang Feng glanced at the design draft again: ”How many do you plan to make for the first batch?”

Zhang Jingdong stretched out his right hand and gestured: ”500,000 pieces.”

”500,000 pieces!?” Liang Feng was caught off guard and a bit startled: ”You... that’s 10 million Huaxia Coins.”

”Although it’s such a large order that I should accept it immediately, I still want to remind you. You’ve just entered the apparel industry, and you might not have a complete understanding of it yet.”

”You should realize that overstock is a major pain point in this industry. If you produce so many clothes at once and can’t sell them, you’re going to be in a lot of trouble.”

”I suggest you start with 100,000 pieces. If the clothes sell well, you can then place additional orders, and I can help ensure prioritized production for you.”

Seeing Liang Feng put it that way, Zhang Jingdong replied: ”Alright, you make sense. I’ll step back then, let’s start with 300,000 pieces.”

”It can’t be any less; otherwise, I might really run out of stock later. Even if you give me priority in production, it will take at least three to five days, and I’m afraid that won’t be quick enough.”

Liang Feng couldn’t help but chuckle: ”Are you always this confident?”

Zhang Jingdong said proudly: ”Not to lie, I’m actually being low-key in front of you because you’re a veteran. But even so, I dared to do that to you just now, so what do you think?”

Hearing this, Liang Feng got fired up immediately: ”Fine, advice wasted on the damned. Let it be, I want to see if you really have the ability or if you’re just a big talker!”

Zhang Jingdong smirked: ”President Liang, since you’ve said so, why don’t we make a bet? Dare to?”

”How would we bet?”

”Starting from the day you deliver the goods to me, if within one week I can’t sell all 300,000 pieces of clothing, I’ll admit defeat. You can then punish me however you like.”

”But if I do sell them all, it means you lose, and at that time, I can punish you however I like. How about that, do you dare to bet?”

Liang Feng paused for a moment and said, ”I don’t believe you can sell 300,000 pieces in one week. I’ve been in this industry for so many years, and I’ve never heard of such a thing!”

”Just tell me if you dare to bet, or not?”

Liang Feng, goaded by his challenge, couldn’t resist: ”Alright, I’ll take your bet!”

Seeing her fall for it, Zhang Jingdong said immediately: ”Great, let’s set the bet. Now, let’s sign the contract.”

Liang Feng then used the office phone to call for someone, and shortly after, two people came in.

Half an hour later, the two completed the contract signing.

Liang Feng was about to have finance accompany Zhang Jingdong to the bank for the deposit when Zhang Jingdong said, ”President Liang, no need for her to go, let’s go together.”

”Besides, my order should be considered sizeable, right? Don’t you, as the factory director, plan to treat me to a meal?”

Liang Feng hesitated for a few seconds, then said, ”Alright, since you are Zong Heng’s boss, I’ll make an exception just this once.”

As soon as these words were spoken, the nearby finance and sales managers were both shocked!

Because no matter how big the order was in the past, Liang Feng never participated in such business meals, let alone when the client was a male boss.

But looking at Zhang Jingdong’s appearance and demeanor, they quickly put two and two together: the boss might have taken a fancy to him.

Afterward, Zhang Jingdong and Liang Feng went down the stairs together, left the factory area, and soon the news that the factory manager and a handsome and charismatic male customer went for a meal spread rapidly throughout the factory.

At that moment, Zhang Jingdong looked at the black Land Rover driven by Liang Feng and was momentarily lost in thought.

This sister was Shu Ran’s best friend, and they both loved off-roading, with Shu Ran driving a white Land Rover, while she had a black one.

Damn, before this sister and Shu Ran weren’t they...

No, no, the first time I went to give Shu Ran a lesson, it was obviously her first time.
