Seeing Yan Ning agree, Zhang Jingdong immediately said, ”Since we’re competing in drinking, there will definitely be a winner and a loser. So, if I lose later, I’ll give you 20% of the shares of my bar.”

”And if I win, you’ll have to agree to a small request of mine. How about it, do you dare to play?”

Yan Ning wasn’t fooled: ”A small request can compare to 20% shares of your bar? Stop playing word games with me, just tell me, what’s the request?”

”You really aren’t easy to deceive, are you? Alright, if you lose, for the next month every time we meet, you must wear a cheongsam for me to see, and it must also be a style that I choose.”

Zhang Jingdong’s request seemingly didn’t boast much practical advantage, but in reality, it was a blatant declaration of his actual intentions toward Yan Ning. This way, he could be upfront with her later on.

Of course, Yan Ning heard the implication of his words and knew how humiliating it would be if she lost.

But firstly, Zhang Jingdong’s request had thoroughly infuriated her, making her resolve to teach him a lesson so he wouldn’t dare to be so presumptuous in front of her in the future.

Secondly, she had always been very confident in her drinking capacity. Over the years, she had attended countless drinking sessions and never once got drunk, every time leaving the table without needing any support.

Moreover, considering Zhang Jingdong just said three drinks for him to one of hers, not to mention Jiangdu, even on a national level, Yan Ning didn’t believe anyone could out-drink her under these conditions.

So her expression hardened: ”Fine, I accept your challenge!”

Seeing that she had taken the bait, Zhang Jingdong immediately raised his hand to call the waiter: ”Bring me two glasses and another 8 bottles of Hennessy XO.”

When the waiter had brought everything, Zhang Jingdong extended his hand and said, ”Mr. Yan, let’s begin.”

Yan Ning glanced at the alcohol on the table and said deliberately, ”Considering you are so young and also a student of Mr. Zifeng, I am giving you a chance to back out now.”

Zhang Jingdong directly took a bottle of Hennessy and started pouring into the glass, ”Mr. Yan, what’s wrong? You’re not scared, are you?”

Yan Ning’s gaze flashed with sharpness, ”Alright, since you’re so full of youthful vigour, I’ll let you understand what the real ’Jianghu’ is!”

With that, she casually grabbed a bottle of Hennessy and began to drink directly from it.

Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but laugh, taking great interest in watching her performance.

It had to be said, just by looking at the speed Yan Ning drank, it was clear this wasn’t her first time doing something like this.

In less than a minute, Yan Ning actually finished an entire bottle!

At this moment, she tilted the bottle upside down in front of Zhang Jingdong and shook it, astonishingly not a single drop came out!

Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but admire, ”Impressive, I didn’t expect you to be so skilled!”

Yan Ning casually placed the bottle back on the table and said sternly, ”Your turn now!”

Zhang Jingdong touched his nose and then also directly grabbed a bottle of Hennessy to drink.

And to enhance the visual effect, he was even more exaggerated than Yan Ning.

He adopted the drinking method of the God of Wine from Qing Island, who once set a record of finishing a bottle of beer in 3.15 seconds.

However, Zhang Jingdong hadn’t specifically trained, so his drinking speed was much slower than the God of Wine’s, taking a full 15 seconds for a bottle of Hennessy.

But now, Yan Ning across from him was clearly shocked.

She sat up straight, her gaze intense as she watched Zhang Jingdong’s reactions.

Because for liquor like this with high alcohol content, those not accustomed to it would typically get drunk after two glasses, and drinking a whole bottle in one go like Zhang Jingdong might immediately lead to passing out.

Then, she was surprised to find that not only did Zhang Jingdong not faint, but he also directly picked up another bottle of Hennessy and continued to drink.

And this time, in almost less than 10 seconds, he had finished another bottle!

And yet, he appeared to be perfectly fine, reaching for the third bottle!

It’s known that people with a high tolerance usually can only handle one or two bottles of Hennessy in one night, and they usually mix it with different things and have some snacks, which helps to avoid getting drunk too easily.

Yan Ning had never seen anyone as fierce as Zhang Jingdong, drinking two bottles at once was one thing, but to drink even faster as he continued was another.

Honestly, at this point, she was truly a bit worried, since sometimes drinking can lead to accidents, and usually, the better one can drink, the easier accidents can happen.

So she couldn’t help but say, ”Wait a minute...”

Zhang Jingdong took a sip of liquor, then looked relaxed, ”What’s the matter, Mr. Yan? Seeing how good I can hold my alcohol, you want to back out now?”

Yan Ning gave him a sidelong glance without good humor, ”I have already agreed to your terms, so no matter what, I will absolutely not back out. That’s my principle.”

”If so, then why do you want me to stop?”

”You... you can take a few minutes break, then continue...”

”Haha, turns out you’re worried about me?”

”Who’s worried about you? I... I’m just concerned that if you overdo it, something might happen to you later... and I’ll have to take responsibility...”

Zhang Jingdong looked at Yan Ning whose gaze was somewhat panicky at the moment, and felt secretly delighted, ”Don’t worry, I’m not stupid. I wouldn’t risk my life just for that 20% share of the bar!”

”But I’ll also tell you, I really can drink a lot, to the extent that it could completely overturn your perception, so you don’t need to have any burden, just bring out all of your ability!”

Saying that, Zhang Jingdong once again swiftly finished the Hennessy in his hand.

”Mr. Yan, it’s your turn!”

Seeing that Zhang Jingdong seemed to be alright, with not a single sign of discomfort on his face and even his eyes not the slightest bit unfocused,

Yan Ning felt surprised and puzzled, and once again grabbed a bottle of Hennessy and began to drink directly.
