Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 253: Chapter 151 Initially Took Her Down! (Large Chapter Subscription Request)_3

Shu Ran thought of something and then added, ”His aunt is Sijin.”

Zhang Jingdong suddenly realized, ”So that’s the case!”

At this moment, Wang Tao couldn’t help but say, ”Aunt Shu, I didn’t expect you actually know my boss...”

”Oh...” Shu Ran’s face turned completely red: ”He and I... are badminton partners, we often play together at your aunt’s stadium.”

Wang Tao nodded meaningfully: ”I see, I understand!”

At the same time, his look towards Zhang Jingdong held a few more shades of sincere admiration and respect.

Because he had seen Shu Ran since he was a teenager, and like the male protagonist in ”Sicily’s Beautiful Legend”, he had deeply fallen for this charming and beautiful aunt.

Although he was infatuated with Shu Ran, he never dared to reveal his love for her—after all, this kind of love spanning age and generation was indeed too difficult. Then he kept his love for her deeply hidden in his heart.

And now, Zhang Jingdong, younger than himself, had actually succeeded in gaining Shu Ran’s favor. Although she tried to conceal it just now, Wang Tao, as a seasoned player in love, could certainly see the truth.

He found this utterly incredible and once again felt that his boss was really awesome!

At this time, Shu Ran also became curious: ”How... is he your boss?”

Wang Tao honestly said, ”I used to run a bar, but as it kept losing money, I couldn’t bear it anymore and didn’t want to ask my family for money anymore, so I thought about selling it to recoup some funds.”

”Then Mr. Zhang called me, and after we talked, he not only spent money to buy my bar but also invested 10 million for me to continue the operation, and gave me some shares, so now Mr. Zhang is indeed my rightful big boss.”

Although Shu Ran already knew that Zhang Jingdong was very wealthy, this was the first time she indirectly confirmed how rich Zhang Jingdong really was.

And she had known Wang Tao for a long time, and heard a lot about him from Ye Sijing, knowing that at his core, he was an extremely confident and even arrogant person.

Now that he held such respect for Zhang Jingdong, it showed that Zhang Jingdong had truly conquered him with his ability and strength.

Thinking of this, Shu Ran once again appreciated Zhang Jingdong more.

And suddenly she realized why Wang Tao had told her about his relationship with Zhang Jingdong in such detail; he was speaking up for Zhang Jingdong.

So she blushed again in an instant, but also knew that this was not a good time to explain anything further, as it would only backfire.

Zhang Jingdong noticed Shu Ran’s shyness and helped her out by saying, ”Alright, let’s go back to the bar and continue our talk there.”

Wang Tao immediately got the hint, ”Okay, okay...I’ll go check on them loading the truck, see you in a bit.”

He hurriedly left.

At this moment, Zhang Jingdong deliberately extended his hand to Shu Ran.

Shu Ran instinctively stepped back, ”What...what are you doing?”

Zhang Jingdong burst into laughter, ”Teacher Shu, weren’t we fine just now, why can’t we hold hands now!”

Shu Ran was once again defeated by his thick skin, ”Hey, when did I allow you to just hold my hand whenever you want?”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to be shocked, ”Shu Ran, you didn’t just allow me to hold your hand just now, it seemed like you even allowed me to embrace you, and now you care about this? That seems a bit petty!”

”I... that was a special circumstance just now, and it was because you asked me for encouragement and good luck, it’s definitely not okay normally!”

Zhang Jingdong immediately understood that this wasn’t something to discuss with her, but to simply do. So he said, ”Well alright, it seems I was overthinking, let’s go!”

Shu Ran thought Zhang Jingdong was upset and immediately felt uneasy.

Had it been before, she wouldn’t have cared at all; let him get mad if he wants to, what did it have to do with her.

But today, first at the badminton court he returned her five smashes, then faked an injury and took advantage of her.

Then at this pool hall, there was physical contact when he taught her how to play pool.

And just now when he was competing in pool, he not only held her hand but also embraced her.

These physical contacts were not the crucial part, the key was that Shu Ran knew she was extremely self-respecting at her core.

If I didn’t like Zhang Jingdong, there’s no way I would have any physical contact with him!

She’s still not ready to admit it, or she is not fully prepared to commit to a relationship with Zhang Jingdong.

But she also doesn’t want to make Zhang Jingdong angry.

So, at this moment, she is really conflicted.

Especially seeing Zhang Jingdong really no longer wanting to hold her hand and just turning around to leave, her heart was filled with intense worry and panic.

She was afraid that Zhang Jingdong, because of his anger, would no longer take the initiative towards her.

Actually, in her heart, she hoped that Zhang Jingdong wouldn’t ask any more questions and would just hold her hand directly.

But she also knew she had just refused Zhang Jingdong, so he definitely wouldn’t do it.

Thinking of this, Shu Ran sighed quietly and followed him.

And just as they were descending the stairs, Zhang Jingdong suddenly grabbed her hand.

”Watch the step!”

It’s not an exaggeration; at that moment, Shu Ran felt as if her heart had blossomed!

Full of happiness and sweetness, excitement, and surprise.

She suppressed her inner thrill and pursed her lips, ”I know!”

But she didn’t try to pull her hand away from Zhang Jingdong’s grasp.

Zhang Jingdong, as an old hand, obviously noticed the uncontrollable joy at the corners of Shu Ran’s mouth and instantly understood he had guessed right.

So he said nothing, but did not let go of Shu Ran’s hand even after they descended the stairs.

Then he said very naturally, ”I’ll take your car!”

Shu Ran bit her lip, ”... then you better not take my Athena again!”

Zhang Jingdong absolutely loved this banter.

He scoffed, ”Okay, but this time, I am driving!”

Shu Ran gave him a sideways glance, ”If you want to drive, why don’t you drive your own car?”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong glanced at their intertwined hands, then gazed intently at Shu Ran, ”What do you think?”

At this moment, Shu Ran really couldn’t stand his gaze, so she took out the keys from her pocket and gave them to him.

Zhang Jingdong, completely satisfied, took the keys, unlocked the car, and then pulled Shu Ran to the passenger side.

He opened the door for her and let her into the car, then he went to the driver’s side.

He smoothly started the car, then reached out again for Shu Ran’s hand.

Shu Ran clearly didn’t expect him to reach for her hand again and hurriedly said, ”Focus on driving... I won’t run away!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed playfully, ”I know you won’t run, but the reason I want to drive is so I can keep holding hands, because my driving skills are too good, I can handle everything with just one hand.”

As he spoke, he showed Shu Ran a high-difficulty, sharply angled drift.

Shu Ran immediately believed him.

And seeing that he was so skillful even while driving, she stopped saying anything and let him hold her hand.

And halfway through the ride, Shu Ran glanced at their tightly clasped hands, and her heart suddenly felt as sweet as if she had drunk honey.

”Congratulations Host, you have gained 20 points of goodwill from the target, rewarded with 1 million yuan!”

Feeling inspired, Zhang Jingdong lifted her hand and kissed it.
