Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 287: Chapter 162: The Offense and Defense with Yan Ning (Long Chapter, Please Subscribe)

Yan Ning, although very surprised, knew that Wang Tao wouldn’t jest about this with her.

So, while extending her hand courteously to shake with Zhang Jingdong, she said meaningfully, ”Mr. Zhang, you’ve really kept yourself hidden...”

Just as she said this, she suddenly regretted it, because after a brief handshake she wanted to withdraw her hand, but Zhang Jingdong, the jerk, didn’t let go!

Yan Ning subconsciously remembered the scene when she sent him out of her house last night.

And she noticed that the expression on Zhang Jingdong’s face was almost exactly like it was then!

Yan Ning felt both embarrassed and annoyed, but since they were in public, she couldn’t make a scene; she could only give Zhang Jingdong a look that said: Let go of me, don’t be presumptuous!

But Zhang Jingdong pretended not to see it, and said nonchalantly, ”Mr. Yan, I haven’t hidden anything; it’s just that our acquaintance has been too brief for you to understand me, just like I didn’t know you were actually a major shareholder of a wealthy tycoon. But these shouldn’t affect us being friends, right?”

After he finished speaking, Zhang Jingdong pressed his thumb gently against the palm of Yan Ning’s hand, then reluctantly let go of her delicate hand.

Yan Ning had never been treated so frivolously, and a flash of embarrassment and anger crossed her eyes.

”How could it not affect things? At least from now on, I will be more guarded against you, because once there is a first time, it’s hard not to have a second!”

Wang Tao, hearing these words and seeing the look on Yan Ning’s face at the moment, immediately understood that not only was Zhang Jingdong acquainted with her, but their relationship might also be somewhat ambiguous.

Wang Tao couldn’t help but admire Zhang Jingdong once more.

It was one thing for him to date those simply beautiful girls, but the audacity to flirt with a strong woman like Yan Ning, with deep and unpredictable background and wealth, was truly ruthless!

Alright, probably only someone like him, with outrageous courage, intelligence, and wealth, would dare to chase such an exceptional woman!

And of course, Zhang Jingdong had also caught the double entendre in Yan Ning’s words.

He curled his lips and said solemnly, ”Mr. Yan, real power players are adept at adapting to all kinds of situations. With the accumulation of experience from the first and second times, by the third time, she will naturally adapt perfectly.”

”By this logic, I’m essentially sacrificing my image in your eyes to help you grow. Tsk, while I might be at a loss and won’t receive any reward from you, it doesn’t matter. I’m willing to endure these injustices for the sake of your growth.”

Yan Ning could never have imagined that Zhang Jingdong had such thick skin, taking advantage of her and even saying it was helping her grow.

What was even more outrageous was that he was saying this in front of others, which was nearly public flirtation.

Wang Tao obviously didn’t expect his boss to be this shameless either, but he knew these words were not meant for him to hear, so he said in a timely manner, ”Boss, you two chat; I’ve got some things to take care of...”

After seeing Zhang Jingdong nod, he quickly turned and left.

Yan Ning knew that Wang Tao might have sensed something and possibly even misconstrued it, and she furiously glared at the culprit.

”Zhang Jingdong, isn’t your skin a bit too thick? And in public, you dare talk to me like this?”

Zhang Jingdong acted as if nothing was wrong: ”Rest assured, President Wang just doesn’t know the nature of our relationship, so he misunderstood. I’ll explain it to him later; it definitely won’t affect the glorious image he has of you in his mind!”

”Hey...” Yan Ning was so exasperated she had to laugh: ”What relationship do we have? What kind of relationship do I have with you?”

Zhang Jingdong touched his nose and asserted confidently: ”Mr. Yan, although we have no direct relationship, I am the tutor of your nephew, and two days ago, you thanked me graciously. Now you’re questioning our relationship?”

”Alright, let’s break it down. I am Zifeng’s teacher, and as the saying goes, once a teacher, forever a father, and since you’re his aunt, rounding up or down, we’re at least siblings!”

Upon hearing this, a mix of surprise and suppressed laughter flashed in the eyes of Yan Ning’s beautiful assistant standing behind her.

The surprise was because she had never seen a man talk to Yan Ning like this, and the restrained laughter was because Zhang Jingdong’s logic was just too fanciful.

She noticed Zhang Jingdong glancing at her and quickly turned her head slightly aside.

Yan Ning was utterly deflated by Zhang Jingdong’s words.

However, Zhang Jingdong didn’t give her the chance to continue being angry but suddenly switched to the commanding presence of The one bar’s boss: ”Alright, Mr. Yan, no more joking. You came here for an inspection, please go ahead!”

Yan Ning was caught off guard, but since she had requested to come and Zhang Jingdong was the owner, despite being incredibly angry, she had no choice but to bear it for now.

But after all, she is the renowned female powerhouse Mr. Yan of Jiangdu, so she quickly composed herself, although she really wished she could toss this guy into the large bathtub right in front of her.

Yet, she managed to regain her pleasant demeanor from when she first entered: ”Alright, thank you, Mr. Zhang!”

”Congratulations, Host, you have successfully angered the target person, you are rewarded with 300,000 yuan!”

As they passed by the large bathtub, Yan Ning couldn’t help but ask, ”Is this... a bathtub?”

Zhang Jingdong clapped his hands exaggeratedly: ”Exactly, Mr. Yan is truly intelligent!”

Yan Ning rolled her eyes inwardly: ”What is it used for?”
