My Talent Panel Can Add Points

It really isn’t simple...

Then, the Blood Spear plunged directly into an oval-shaped mineral the size of a dove’s egg, with pale blue light flowing inside it. This was the source of the azure light on the gilt frame — a high-quality Starlight Stone.

Although there was no indication from the Archbishop, Ye Mingqiu did not know what a Starlight Stone was, but the Blood Spear had a natural instinct for hunting and could discern what was food, blood, or treasures that could be absorbed. Finding a Starlight Stone was quite easy.

’It can really absorb... No, being able to absorb is only natural.’

Archbishop Augustine marvelled internally.

Although some might not know the traits of a high-quality Starlight Stone, as an Archbishop, he understood it quite well. The hardness of high-quality Starlight Stones was close to marrow gold, with an extremely high innate strength, nearly impossible to alter without processing.

Yet this weapon could absorb directly from a high-quality Starlight Stone without processing... It must be the companion weapon of the Lord of the Fierce Sun, truly extraordinary.

Soon, the faint blue Starlight Stone had its energy fully absorbed by the Blood Spear, losing its luster, while a pale blue ripple spread within the Blood Spear, making its crimson shaft gradually transform into dark purple.

[Overfed, need to digest more]

The Blood Spear conveyed to Ye Mingqiu.

He packed the Blood Spear away, then turned to the Archbishop and said, ”The quality is commendable, it actually allowed my companion weapon to enter a metamorphic state, the Starlight Church truly has no equal.”

”No, no, the ability for your weapon to absorb all the energy within a Starlight Stone at once is what’s truly shocking to me.”

The Archbishop’s expression was slightly helpless as he continued, ”The Starlight Stone you’ve absorbed is known as the Holy Radiance Crystal Core, a unique Starlight Stone with energy thirty times that of conventional high-quality Starlight Stones, enough to sustain a Floating City’s daily operations for ten years.”

”And yet, your companion weapon could completely absorb the energy within the Holy Radiance Crystal Core in such a short timeframe... That is a miracle that only you could accomplish.”

”Hmm.”

Ye Mingqiu nodded.

So, the Starlight Stone contained so much energy, no wonder the Blood Spear had its colors blend. If the Blood Spear hadn’t advanced to the pseudo-divine artifact level, it might not have been able to absorb all the energy even if it exploded.

....

Next day at dawn

Ye Mingqiu sat in the exclusive room arranged by the Archbishop, absorbed in reading and self-learning the magical theory of this world. Although learning from others would be more efficient, the risk of revealing thought patterns during that process might not be worth the gain.

It’s less worrisome to self-study directly; as the Lord of the Fierce Sun, it’s quite normal not to require teaching.

”Swish~”

He flipped another page and couldn’t help but secretly admire: The magical foundations of this world are indeed vastly different from the Spirit Realm’s mainstream magic, where magic leans more towards transformation and computation, whereas this world focuses more on models and composition.

The magical base of the main world is designed from the traits of Spiritualists, who traverse countless worlds. With a theoretical foundation centered on computation and transformation, magic system Spiritualists can better learn and utilize other magical paths in other worlds.

However, if powerful talents from other worlds come to the present world to learn these computation- and transformation-centered theoretical magics, it would be quite arduous.

’The struggles of the past definitely weren’t endured in vain!’

Ye Mingqiu couldn’t help but sigh, realizing how much fundamental theoretical knowledge and computation the present world Mages need to learn, enough to feel abstract, and a lot of it seemingly pointless.

That’s only at the initial stage; as time and experience accumulate, the knowledge gradually becomes more useful.

Beside him, the dark purple Blood Spear continuously emitted blue steam from its surface, with its purple color slightly lighter than before, clearly indicating the Blood Spear had fully absorbed a portion of the energy.

[Main Task - Second Phase - Build Trust]

[Task Reward: Free Attribute Points ×3]

[Task Deadline: 72 hours]

[Task Penalty: Death]

[Current Trust Level: Revered]

[Current Position Level: Saint Heir]

[Confirm Completion of Task: Yes/No]

No.

Ye Mingqiu decisively declined.

The situation has changed from yesterday; Archbishop Augustine has gone to contact the Silent Council. Once his identity as the Lord of the Fierce Sun is verified through negotiations with them, he will certainly gain higher identity trust and achieve greater task completion.

Moreover, more importantly, this task has just appeared with plenty of time left, considering the Archbishop’s personality and the Silent Council’s emphasis on Divinity, once they reconvene, they would surely rush back here to negotiate with Ye Mingqiu, efficiently without wasting his time.

”Knock, knock, knock.”

A series of rhythmic knocks sounded.

”Come in.”

Ye Mingqiu said, raising his head.

”Click.”

Sister Sajia pushed the door open, politely offering a salute, and then said, ”Revered Divinity, someone is attempting to join the Starlight Church via a letter of recommendation, suspected to be an Otherworld traveler. Currently, the Archbishop has gone to the Silent Council, the church should be under your command.”

”Clap!”

Ye Mingqiu shut the book and placed it on the desk, taking a deep look at Sajia and nodding with a smile.

In theory, what Sajia said was perfectly correct; with the Archbishop absent, the Saint Heir should hold the greatest authority, the position granted by him.

But practically speaking, under usual circumstances, regular church members wouldn’t trust him so easily; the probability is higher that such potential matters involving Otherworld travelers are rather not disclosed.

’What’s the implication of telling me this?’

Ye Mingqiu pondered with his head low, considering this could either be a probe from the opposing side or simply for him to adapt to the role, or potentially both.

He then straightforwardly asked, ”What made you suspect there’s an issue?”

”Hmm?”

Sajia furrowed her brow in confusion and replied, ”Joining the Starlight Church via a recommendation letter is itself the biggest issue, our church strictly controls talent influx, how could one join through a recommendation letter without being aware of such regulations, surely they’re an Otherworld traveler.”

”I see.”

Ye Mingqiu maintained his demeanor, seemingly unbothered by his ignorance of the issue, naturally rising from his seat and reaching for the dark purple Blood Spear beside him.

Soon, the Blood Spear transformed into a fluid, climbing up his arm and slipping into his sleeve, completely entering his body, at which point a surge of fiery energy flooded from within the Blood Spear into Ye Mingqiu’s body.

[Notice: The Blood Spear has fed back a pure divine energy to you, enhancing Abnormal Status Resistance, Control Effect Resistance, Basic Defense Power +146, Total Spiritual Energy +358, and boosting all elemental resistances]

After glancing at the interface, he instantly understood the Blood Spear had absorbed only a fragment of energy, which from the Holy Radiance Crystal Core’s perspective was just a drop in the ocean—seemingly hard to absorb its vast energy, with current limits on the Blood Spear’s strength.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t much of a concern; even without the Blood Spear, Ye Mingqiu possessed formidable combat prowess, and the Blood Spear itself had means such as [Violent Blood] for burning energy and rapidly expending power.

However...

That method was too wasteful; unless in dire straits, Ye Mingqiu wouldn’t resort to it.

Most importantly, if the Starlight Church were indeed suspicious of Ye Mingqiu’s identity, wouldn’t it be them who should be tense and panicking? How could Ye Mingqiu possibly be?

After all, he practically possessed top-tier [God] traits, wielding a divinity level of power, armed with the pseudo-divine artifact Blood Spear; even if his identity was counterfeit, his substantial strength was genuine, and if exposed, it’s the church that should be more alarmed.

”Let’s go, show me the situation.”

”Yes.”
