I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 873: Chapter 87: Super Midfielder

Wembley Stadium, the Real Madrid fans were exceptionally excited, while the Manchester United fans, despite their anger, couldn’t help but exclaim, ”This guy is simply a monster!”

”He shouldn’t be in La Liga, he should come to the Premier League!”

Although Chen Zhong received a yellow card, he consecutively brought down Park Ji-sung and Carrick, which made Manchester United’s midfield suddenly become ”well-behaved,”

and during this period, Real Madrid gradually took the initiative and launched a wave of attacking frenzy.

”Real Madrid’s attack!”

”Chen Zhong has the ball!”

”Park Ji-sung advances, trying to block!”

”But it’s useless!”

In the 16th minute, the air at Wembley Stadium suddenly turned tense.

After getting the ball in midfield, Chen Zhong keenly observed a gap on the right and made a surgical knife-like diagonal pass to Kaka who was advancing.

The Brazilian dashed forward with the ball, and Manchester United found it hard to stop the already running Kaka, only able to watch as Kaka delivered an accurate arc cross near the baseline.

In the penalty area, Cristiano Ronaldo launched like a cheetah, using his signature back run to shake off Ferdinand’s marking, and stabbed the ball near the small penalty area line!

The Real Madrid fans on the stands exclaimed, and the Manchester United fans broke into a cold sweat, however, Cristiano Ronaldo lacked a bit of luck, as the ball whistled past the left post.

The Manchester United fans in the stands breathed a sigh of relief, while the Real Madrid fans felt very regretful.

Ferguson watched Cristiano Ronaldo for a long time, pondering something unknown!

”A highly threatening shot!”

”Manchester United keeper Van der Sar didn’t even have time to make a save!”

”This shot was also very sudden.”

”We could even hear the exclamations erupting from the stands.”

”It seems C. Ronaldo’s positioning also made the Manchester United fans break into a cold sweat.”

However, Real Madrid’s offensive was not over yet, just 2 minutes later, Chen Zhong once again relied on his excellent physical ability, performing a Marseille Turn to get past Carrick in midfield.

The Marseille Turn has already become Chen Zhong’s signature move, and this move caused the Real Madrid fans to exclaim in amazement, yet Chen Zhong’s performance was not over.

After Carrick was bypassed, it was not over, Park Ji-sung and Rooney teamed up with Carrick to triple-team Chen Zhong, in such a configuration, even Messi would find it hard to escape unscathed, yet Chen Zhong spread his arms, shielded the ball with his body, and squeezed out from the triple-team.

”Chen Zhong!”

”Shielded the ball under a triple-team!”

”Passing!”

”Beautiful!”

But Chen Zhong was not unharmed, he already felt he was losing his balance, so at the moment of losing balance, he delivered a low through ball with the outside of his foot.

This through ball sliced through Manchester United’s defense like a surgical knife, precisely finding Cristiano Ronaldo in the frontcourt!

The Portuguese’s positioning was excellent, he broke into the left side of the penalty area, facing the Manchester United goal.

In the stands, countless Manchester United fans looked desperate, while the Real Madrid fans clenched their fists, ready to cheer for him at any moment.

Cristiano Ronaldo adjusted his steps, and just as he was preparing to shoot, Vidic stood like a tower in front, sliding in to clear the ball out for a corner.

”Vidic!!!”

”He saved the team!”

”A very bold move!”

”C. Ronaldo looks very frustrated!”

The broadcast captured Cristiano Ronaldo hammering the grass in frustration, showing his dissatisfaction with his hesitation, he should have shot directly.

Seeing this scene, Chen Zhong did not say much, instead, he patted him on the shoulder and said, ”Stay focused, the game is not over yet!”

”Real Madrid’s attack!”

”Chen Zhong and Alonso’s continuous cooperation!”

”Manchester United tries to steal the ball!”

”But can’t get it!”

As the first half was nearing its end, after several interplay between Chen Zhong and Alonso, continuously toying with Manchester United’s players, Chen Zhong, on his final touch, gathered his strength and delivered a highly penetrating through ball.

This through ball once again amazed the entire stadium, with exclamations from both Real Madrid and Manchester United fans in the stands.

Many veteran fans who have been watching Chen Zhong since the beginning of his career were filled with emotions.

Back then, Chen Zhong’s passing was nothing like this! Now...

He could be called a tank version of Pirlo.

The ball threaded through Manchester United’s defense, and Cristiano Ronaldo surged forward at high speed on the flank, taking the ball with a burst, though not entirely bypassing the defender, he still gained a positional advantage.

However, Manchester United’s defense was very solid, they held their positions firmly, forcing Cristiano Ronaldo to opt for a power shot at the near corner from a very tight angle.

”Bang!”

The ball sped towards the goal like a cannonball.

Both teams’ players watched as this extremely fast shot went, however, the ball brushed the right post and flew out the baseline.

Manchester United was blessed by Lady Luck, escaping another danger.

On the sidelines, Sir Alex Ferguson paused his gum chewing, instructing his assistant with a grim expression, clearly troubled by Cristiano Ronaldo’s constant threats to the goal during this time.
