I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 866: Chapter 83: Double Crown Winner! (Part 3)

Sheringham is full of hope for Manchester United, however, another well-known player in English football, McManaman, thinks differently. ”As a player who has left my mark at Liverpool and Real Madrid, I don’t want Manchester United to win. I hope Real Madrid lifts the trophy. Manchester United has just surpassed Liverpool to claim their 19th league title, but purely from an emotional standpoint, I would lean more towards Real Madrid. They play in a more entertaining style. If I were to predict the outcome of the match, I would guess Real Madrid will win by two goals, perhaps the score will be 2-0 or 3-1. However, I always think it will be a thrilling contest, with La Liga champions facing off against Premier League champions, the spectacle will be magnificent.”

Similarly, this Champions League final also has Asian elements.

The ”Champions League Asia-Pacific ambassador” Li Bingbing started her 12-day event itinerary upon arriving in London on May 18.

After visiting top football clubs Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, and touring the fan park, the day before the Champions League final, Li Bingbing, along with her partner Yan Qiang (Vice President of Titan Sports Weekly), was invited by UEFA to Wembley Stadium.

At Wembley, Li Bingbing not only watched pre-match training sessions of Manchester United and Real Madrid but also attended the Manchester United press conference as a special correspondent for CCTV-5, where she posed a question to head coach Ferguson. Notably, in the stadium box, Brazil’s national television conducted a special interview with Li Bingbing themed ”Champions League First Lady.”

The day before the Champions League final, as well as welcoming the training of both Real Madrid and Manchester United, Wembley Stadium was filled with the long lenses of media from various countries.

Invited by UEFA, the ”Champions League Asia-Pacific ambassador” Li Bingbing and her partner Yan Qiang also visited Wembley that day and watched Manchester United and Real Madrid’s pre-match trainings. After watching the training, Li Bingbing disclosed that both teams were in great condition, ”Manchester United’s training intensity was quite fierce, with players forming teams for competitive matches. The standout performer remains Rooney.” In contrast, Real Madrid’s training was more relaxed, ”My favorite, Chen Zhong, was warming up quietly in the distance, and I took many close-up shots of him with my camera.”

”Indeed, I very much admire my fellow countryman, what he is doing in Europe is incredible.”

”He is now one of the world’s best players.”

On that day, Manchester United and Real Madrid held their press conferences successively at Wembley Stadium.

At the Manchester United press conference, over 300 journalists were packed into the interview room, where the atmosphere was tense and suffocating. Li Bingbing, as a special correspondent for CCTV-5, was the first to pose a question to head coach Ferguson: ”Every year for the Champions League final, Chinese viewers have to get up at one or two in the morning to watch. What do you think is the attraction of this year’s match?” Many journalists, upon realizing that the question was posed by Li Bingbing, not a fellow journalist, burst into hearty laughter, momentarily lightening the tense atmosphere. Ferguson also responded attentively: ”I can assure you that this game will be very exciting. I believe Chinese fans will be visually satisfied, making up for the sleep time they sacrificed.”

Previously, UEFA had greatly praised Li Bingbing as the ”First Lady of the UEFA Champions League,” as she is the first female ambassador in UEFA history to be officially invited to promote this leading global event. Her involvement helps attract more female audiences to the Champions League, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

Coincidentally, Brazil, a major football nation, had its national television conduct a special interview with Li Bingbing themed ”First Lady” in the private box at Wembley Stadium yesterday. Brazil’s well-known talk show host Luciano Huck chatted with Li Bingbing in English throughout, and during the show, he generously praised Li Bingbing for her fluent English, saying, ”I hope she has the opportunity to come to Brazil and co-host a new talk show program with me.”
