I Am Scouted by Real Madrid

Chapter 830: Chapter 68: Chen Mei Showdown! (Part 2)

The pass was as precise as if measured with a ruler, directly finding Pedro coming from the back row.

”Pedro! One-on-one with the goalkeeper!”

”Messi with a beautiful chipped pass!”

”Accurately found Pedro!”

”Casillas abandons the goal to charge forward!”

Inside Real Madrid’s penalty area, Casillas didn’t just stand on the goal line helplessly but decisively chose to charge forward, yet Pedro didn’t panic either.

Facing Casillas’ advance, Pedro coolly pushed the ball into the far corner.

Casillas quickly went to ground, trying to make a beautiful save like before, but he couldn’t stop the ball from rolling into the net.

”GOOOOOOL!”

”1-1!”

”Barcelona equalizes!”

”Messi’s assist, Pedro’s goal!”

The entire Mestalla Stadium instantly turned into a sea of red and blue.

Barcelona fans waved huge Catalonia flags, causing waves of human arms in the stands.

Messi was smothered by his excited teammates, with his jersey soaked by grass bits and sweat.

The broadcast captured a significant image: Chen Zhong bent down to pick up the ball from the goal and threw it forcefully towards the center circle.

The Chinese superstar’s eyes burned with an unyielding flame as he slapped the team crest on his chest, signaling to the Real Madrid fans in the stands: The battle has just begun!

Guardiola’s expression was very excited, as a goal at this time meant that everything wasn’t over yet, right?

Meanwhile, Mourinho was cursing, clearly not happy about conceding a goal at this point.

Because the match was almost over, and they were about to win the championship.

Now conceding a goal could mean the game would enter extra time.

The match continued, and Real Madrid’s offense became even more ferocious, clearly unwilling to be equalized after leading for so long. After getting the ball, Alonso quickly passed it to the forward Chen Zhong.

Chen Zhong shrugged off Busquets beside him, facing Pique’s aggressive sliding tackle, he did a Marseille turn to evade the opponent!

”Real Madrid’s attack!”

”Chen Zhong!”

”Showing off!”

”Beautiful Marseille turn!”

Chen Zhong continued to dribble forward, with Barcelona players quickly closing in, trying to force him to pass, but Chen Zhong had a very clear objective this time. Controlling the ball, when everyone thought he would pass, Chen Zhong suddenly stopped abruptly 35 meters from the goal!

His right foot fiercely struck the ball with the outside of his foot, and the shot flew straight towards the goal with a whistling sound!

”Boom!”

No one expected Chen Zhong to take a heavy cannon shot from this position!

The ball rapidly approached the goal in the air, even carrying a strange arc!

”Super long shot!!!”

”Chen Zhong from 35 meters out.”

”Directly took a super heavy cannon shot on goal!”

This shot from Chen Zhong attracted everyone’s attention.

The ball drew an eerie ”S” shaped trajectory in the air, first plummeting rapidly, then suddenly rising as it neared the goal!

Valdes, though diving for a save, could only watch hopelessly as the ball grazed his fingertips and drilled into the net!

The ball is in!

2:1

Real Madrid takes the lead again!

”GOOOOOOL!!!”

”2-1! Chen Zhong’s world-class goal!”

”This shot can definitely compete for the best goal of the season!”

Barcelona fans watched in astonishment, while Real Madrid fans in the stands jumped up, loudly calling out Chen Zhong’s name. Chen Zhong dashed to the corner flag and performed a magnificent somersault flip under the gaze of 80,000 people!

His white jersey fluttered in the wind, and the ”CHEN 10” on his back shone brightly under the spotlight.

Cristiano Ronaldo was the first to jump onto his back, while Kaka knelt on one knee, making a gesture of homage.

The final score was 2:1

Although Barcelona launched wave upon wave of attacks at the last moment, they couldn’t shake Real Madrid’s defense, ultimately watching regretfully as Real Madrid won the championship!

The unstoppable Chen Zhong is back!

If he ever left, that is.

At the most critical point of the season, Chen Zhong regained his scoring touch.

Now, under Chen Zhong’s hot gun barrel, he gathered another trophy, that is against ”archenemy” Barcelona. Real Madrid defeated the Red and Blue Army 2-1 in the King’s Cup final.

In the final moments, Chen Zhong’s super heavy cannon blast led Real Madrid to victory, making Barcelona’s last goal pale in comparison.

At the Mestalla Stadium, the venue for this season’s King’s Cup Champions League final, Spanish media even said that at the moment Chen Zhong took his shot, they felt an unstoppable momentum.

Real Madrid became the Spanish King’s Cup champion at the Mestalla, and Chen Zhong may have the opportunity to be the hot favorite for the ”Ballon d’Or” again thanks to his numerous goals this season and outstanding performances in the King’s Cup and Champions Cup.

His competitor Messi, although working hard in the final, could not play as decisive a role as Chen Zhong.

After the match, the scene of Chen Zhong celebrating with his teammates contrasted sharply with Messi’s disheartened look.

Of course, both sides will face off again in a two-legged confrontation in the Champions Cup.

Although Messi broke the curse of not scoring against Mourinho’s team, it was with a penalty, and he didn’t score again in this match.

It’s worth mentioning that Chen Zhong has become the first player in 5 years, since Van Nistelrooy’s 2006-07 season, to score consecutively in El Clasico matches.

In the King’s Cup final, Chen Zhong missed a few opportunities. However, his hard work paid off, and that super heavy cannon shot was a reward for him!

Marca once published an article saying that Chen Zhong embodies the strengths of many great players in Real Madrid’s history, saying he has Carlos’ power, Laudrup’s vision, and Sandyana’s heading ability—he can jump more than a meter vertically, and his teammates say he looks like a volleyball player.

It can be said that since Stefano, Real Madrid has not had such an all-around player.

According to the tradition that the ”Ballon d’Or” selection places more emphasis on first-half performances, if Chen Zhong continues to play important roles in more key matches, his disadvantage against Messi in the selection will be greatly reduced.

Chen Zhong has extremely high efficiency. Although he is not a pure striker, his goal-scoring instincts compare with legends like Ronaldo and Hugo Sanchez.

Chen Zhong once spoke with incredible modesty, saying that scoring goals is not his ultimate pursuit, but the ambition and fighting spirit he displays in every match shows that he does want to become the top scorer in every competition.

Recently, Messi kicked the ball towards the fans aggressively. The Spanish media states that this is unprecedentedly rough from Messi, and he hasn’t apologized, showing that any monopoly isn’t good.

Chen Zhong demonstrated various shooting techniques. In terms of goal-scoring methods, Chen Zhong is more diverse than Messi. The Argentine is used to creating gaps outside the penalty area for goal attempts, while Chen Zhong’s goals include perfect one-on-ones, magical free-kicks, long-range surprise shots after lateral breakthroughs, and marathon runs, as well as traditional center forward-style headers like in this match.

One could say, in 18 different techniques, Chen Zhong is proficient in all of them.

”This is immense joy, not only because we scored a goal but because we won the King’s Cup. I feel very happy; it’s an important championship, and now, we can thoroughly enjoy it.” Facing the RTVE television cameras after the match, Chen Zhong was very proud. Chen Zhong also specially praised Mourinho: ”Mourinho did a great job, and he’s been a big help to us.”

Looking to the future, Chen Zhong is full of confidence: ”This victory injected powerful energy into the team; the match was very tough; whoever can score can win.” The statistics show that in their last 54 away matches where Real Madrid scored first, they won every time.

That night, Chen Zhong was the key to opening the door to victory for Real Madrid.
