Forced to Sell Myself to the Female Lead After Killing the Male Lead

”Little one, could you explain why you’ve... pinned my daughter to the ground?”

The moment the black-haired girl’s gaze settled on the pink-haired girl nearby, Melilov-Baroze’s heart leaped into her throat once again.

Having only just breathed a sigh of relief, she immediately held her breath again.

Th-This is bad...

How...

How am I supposed to explain this?!

Drops of cold sweat began sliding down the little dragon girl’s cheeks.

She might have managed to resolve the earlier attack through her quick thinking. But what about the pink-haired girl she had pinned to the ground? How was she supposed to explain that?!

Earlier, in a desperate attempt to prevent the black-haired girl from attacking her, she had hastily lied that she and Yuan’er were friends.

But... friends...

How was this something friends would do to each other?!

Pinning a friend to the ground and binding her with magical chains?!

What kind of friendship was that supposed to be?!

How could she possibly explain something like this?!

No matter how desperately she thought, the nervous Melilov-Baroze simply couldn’t come up with a suitable explanation.

For a moment,

Melilov-Baroze felt as though the Grim Reaper’s scythe, which had only just withdrawn from her neck, had once again been placed against her throat.

If she couldn’t provide a satisfactory explanation, the demon before her would probably tear her into pieces on the spot.

Was...

Was this what they called an inescapable calamity?

C-Could it be that this exalted one’s fate... is... is destined to end here?

Boohoohoo...

Noooo, waaah...

Th-This exalted one... I finally managed to be reborn... I don’t want to die just like this... Waaah...

The little dragon girl suddenly felt terribly wronged.

Although the situation seemed completely hopeless, Melilov-Baroze’s instinct for survival continued driving her to struggle.

In her desperation, Melilov-Baroze no longer cared whether her explanation sounded reasonable.

Under the black-haired girl’s puzzled gaze, she awkwardly raised a hand to scratch her little head and spoke with an innocent expression.

”Um... Auntie... W-We... We were just... playing... playing a game with Yuan’er!”

”Playing a game??”

Hearing those words, Miss Yumo’s expression grew even stranger.

Staring intently at the little dragon girl before her, Yumo narrowed her eyes slightly.

Although several important, sensitive parts of the little dragon girl’s body were covered by pale-golden dragon scales, that didn’t change the fact that this blonde little girl was practically running around naked.

A naked little girl?

Pinning her daughter to the ground?

Playing a game??

At that moment, several rather inappropriate images immediately surfaced in Miss Yumo’s mind.

The gaze she directed at Melilov-Baroze grew increasingly cold.

The temperature inside the hall showed absolutely no sign of recovering. Instead, it continued falling...

Melilov-Baroze felt a bone-chilling coldness sweep over her, sending shivers down her spine.

”W-We really were... just playing a game! Some... umm... traditional games of our dragon race!!”

The little dragon girl awkwardly waved her arms around as she spoke.

Then, with a direct wave of her hand, she instantly dispelled the pale-golden magical chains binding Yuan’er, along with the suppression spell.

Afterward,

Without caring about anything else, Melilov-Baroze looked toward Yuan’er, who had just gotten to her feet, as though grasping at her last lifeline.

Her watery, pale-golden eyes were filled with such a pitiful expression that, combined with her already exquisitely adorable face, they would probably awaken anyone’s desire to dote on cute little girls.

While desperately putting on her most adorable expression, Melilov-Baroze spoke in a nervous, trembling voice.

”R-Right?! Y-Yuan’er?”

...

However,

The instant those words left her mouth, Melilov-Baroze realized she had made an incredibly foolish decision.

After all,

She hadn’t shown that little girl even the slightest consideration earlier, had she?!

Not only had she smashed the girl’s lollipop, but she had also mercilessly pinned her to the ground.

Under those circumstances, the girl probably hated her!

Why would she ever help her tell a lie?!

What... What kind of unrealistic nonsense am I thinking?!

If that child directly denies it...

Then wouldn’t I...

...

After briefly imagining herself being chopped into pieces and turned into roasted dragon meat, Melilov-Baroze sharply inhaled a breath of cold air.

Despair surfaced in her eyes.

The claws of something called ”fear” seemed to emerge from a dark abyss, dragging Melilov-Baroze straight toward the depths of eternal damnation.

Ah...

It’s over...

Looks like... this exalted one really... really has reached the end...

Under the overwhelming threat of death, several tears uncontrollably slid down the little dragon girl’s cheeks.

And this pitiful scene happened to fall directly into the eyes of the pink-haired little girl not far away, causing Yuan’er to raise her eyebrows almost imperceptibly...

...

Seeing that Yuan’er behind her still hadn’t responded, the despairing Melilov-Baroze began wondering whether she should at least put up a fight.

Although attacking in her current condition would be no different from throwing an egg against a rock,

If she fought back,

At least...

She could die with a little dignity, right?

After all, she was still the legendary Sacred Dragon King!

But... if I resist, won’t I die an even more horrible death?

And this body seems to be terribly afraid of pain... Waaah...

However,

Just as Melilov-Baroze was struggling with this dilemma, the pink-haired girl behind her, who had remained silent for a while, finally spoke.

But the words that came out of the little girl’s mouth were completely different from anything Melilov-Baroze had imagined...

”That’s right, that’s right! We were playing a game, Mommy!!”

?!!!

”Huh?!!”

Wh...

What did she just say?!!

In an instant, the despair in Melilov-Baroze’s eyes vanished completely, replaced by an expression of utter disbelief.

Having never expected such a development, Melilov-Baroze stared dumbfounded at the pink-haired girl nearby.

And by the time she turned her head, Yuan’er had already skipped over to Melilov-Baroze’s side with light, cheerful steps, bouncing along like an adorable little rabbit.

Without another word, she affectionately wrapped her arms around the little dragon girl’s neck from behind.

Then Yuan’er puffed out her little cheeks and looked toward Mother Yumo with a slightly aggrieved, complaining expression.

”Mommy, don’t look so fierce! You’re going to scare little Meli if you keep glaring at her~”

”Huh...??”

Glancing sideways at Yuan’er, who was pressing her little face against her own, Melilov-Baroze looked completely stunned.

At this point, the great Sacred Dragon King had absolutely no idea what was going on, much less what the little girl beside her was thinking.

But there was one thing she did understand.

This little girl seemed to be planning to help cover up her lie?!

However,

Melilov-Baroze no longer had the luxury of thinking about why the other party was doing this.

She had only one goal now.

To do everything in her power...

To survive...

And so,

Melilov-Baroze cooperatively lowered her head, putting on a timid, frightened appearance.

However,

The instant she lowered her head, Melilov-Baroze’s pupils suddenly contracted.

An unprecedented wave of embarrassment rushed into the little dragon girl’s mind, immediately turning her little face bright red, like a ripe apple that practically begged someone to take a bite.

?!!!

Th-This... What is this?!

At that moment, right beside Melilov-Baroze’s feet, there was a small puddle of crystal-clear, unidentified liquid that seemed to radiate holy light...

Considering the unprecedentedly terrifying pressure she had felt earlier, her trembling legs, and the damp sensation along the insides of her thighs, Melilov-Baroze suddenly realized something extremely serious.

A fact that she found rather difficult to accept...

Before Melilov-Baroze could recover from her shock and come to terms with reality, Yuan’er beside her noticed her embarrassment.

And so,

The pink-haired girl curiously followed Melilov-Baroze’s gaze toward the little dragon girl’s lower body...

The next moment,

The little girl’s expression abruptly changed.

For once, she turned toward her own mother with a faintly angry glare.

”Mommy! Stop glaring at little Meli! You’ve scared her so badly that she wet herself!!”

Yumo: ???

Melilov-Baroze: ...

At that instant, the great Sacred Dragon King bit down hard on her lips.

Her face completely flushed, she wore an expression that looked as though she wanted to cry but had no tears left to shed.

She...

She wanted to find a hole and crawl into it...

At that very moment, the dignity of the Dragon King became a thing of the past...
