Forced to Sell Myself to the Female Lead After Killing the Male Lead

At Yexinlian Royal Academy, every class was assigned a lead instructor.

Strictly speaking, the position was essentially equivalent to that of a homeroom teacher. In addition to teaching classes, the lead instructor was responsible for looking after every student, guiding their cultivation, and ensuring their safety.

In a sense, they were almost like bodyguards.

As for the previous homeroom teacher named Sakara, honestly speaking, Mengxi didn’t have much of an impression of him.

Aside from necessary work-related matters, she had barely interacted with the middle-aged man at all. Whether it was academic guidance or cultivation guidance, Mengxi handled everything herself and had no need for his assistance.

As for protecting her safety?

She needed him even less for that.

After all, Mengxi’s own strength was already in no way inferior to that homeroom teacher’s. On top of that, Pope Kaelrode had previously gone out of his way to assign a powerful guard unit to protect Mengxi.

However, although she didn’t particularly care about Sakara, Mengxi was still taken aback when she heard that this teacher had suddenly been replaced.

She looked at Felik beside her in confusion.

”They’re replacing the lead instructor? The end-of-term assessments are almost here. At a time like this?”

”Yeah...”

Felik nodded, looking equally puzzled.

”Honestly, I don’t understand what they’re thinking either. Anyway, the order came directly from the vice headmaster.”

As he spoke,

Felik couldn’t help recalling the panting vice headmaster from just earlier.

Maybe it had been his imagination...

But that Peak Sixth-Tier vice headmaster, who had always been extremely dependable, had seemed to be sweating nervously?

Hmm...

Probably just his imagination.

”It was the vice headmaster’s order, so I didn’t ask too many questions. We just have to follow it.”

”Oh...”

While putting her grimoire back into her spatial ring, Mengxi asked indifferently,

”Then what happened to... Instructor Sakara?”

”Him? He’s on leave.”

”Leave?”

”Mm. Maternity leave.”

”Oh... Hm?... What??”

At those words, Mengxi’s brows twitched, and her expression became increasingly strange.

”Maternity leave? But... he’s a man...”

”Who knows? That’s... exactly what the vice headmaster told me.”

”Uh...”

Mengxi was somewhat speechless.

But she could basically confirm one thing.

There was definitely someone deliberately behind Sakara being removed from his position as homeroom teacher.

”By the way, what kind of person is the new lead instructor?”

”No idea. I haven’t met her yet.”

Felik shook his head decisively and answered truthfully.

”But according to the vice headmaster, she’s a new teacher from the Sadik Empire.”

”Hm? The Sadik Empire?”

The moment that name entered her ears, Mengxi couldn’t help raising an eyebrow.

A new teacher from the Sadik Empire, arriving at a time like this?

For a moment, a bold guess immediately surfaced in the silver-haired girl’s mind.

And as that guess appeared,

under Felik’s bewildered gaze, Mengxi once again revealed a sweet smile capable of captivating countless boys and girls.

Even Felik, who considered himself somewhat resistant to Mengxi’s smiles by now, couldn’t help freezing slightly.

”Mengxi?”

”Never mind. I’ll go organize the documents first~ See you this afternoon, Instructor Felik~”

”Oh...”

After responding somewhat woodenly, Felik stared blankly at the silver-haired girl skipping happily away from the rooftop, followed closely by the tiny fluffy creature scampering after her as though terrified of being left behind.

”Why is she in such a hurry? And why is she so happy? Lady Mengxi... did she really hate her original homeroom teacher that much?”

Felik was somewhat confused.

However,

the young instructor soon discovered in astonishment that he might temporarily have no energy to think about that question...

Because right now, he had to think about how to deal with the group of furious students not far behind him.

After seeing Mengxi give Felik that familiar, sweet, beautiful smile, the students observing from a distance seemed unable to stop themselves from imagining an entire forbidden teacher-student romance.

And Mengxi hurriedly leaving to organize the documents afterward was immediately interpreted by those people as her running away in embarrassment~

For a moment,

it would be an exaggeration to say that the students’ gazes toward Felik were murderous.

But saying they were glaring daggers at him would be perfectly accurate.

It almost seemed as if black hoods had faintly appeared over their heads while vicious scythes materialized in their hands...

”Uh...”

A bead of cold sweat slowly slid down Felik’s forehead.

--

The afternoon classes arrived before long.

Because she had been completely focused on organizing materials for the new lead instructor who was about to arrive, Miss Mengxi hadn’t paid much attention to the academy’s extremely lively ‘battle royale’ game that had taken place around noon.

Once all the documents had been organized, the silver-haired girl excitedly left the girls’ dormitory and, under the blatantly obvious tailing of a crowd of male and female admirers, made her way to the eastern part of Yexinlian Royal Academy, toward the teaching building situated in the middle of a beautiful lake.

Yexinlian Royal Academy divided its students into a total of five grades according to when they entered the school (students were allowed to skip grades).

Within each grade,

the academy further divided students into five levels according to their strength, talent, cultivation progress, and other factors: Star Source, Black Diamond, Platinum, Soul Shadow, and Ordinary.

Within those five levels, students were further separated according to their combat styles into Martial Arts Classes, Magic Classes, and Comprehensive Classes...

The purpose of doing so was obviously to provide every student with the most suitable education possible.

And our Miss Mengxi happened to be the class monitor of Year Five, Star Source Level, Comprehensive Class One.

In other words, she was basically the big sister of an entire group of outstanding genius students~

Therefore,

when the silver-haired girl walked gracefully forward with a gentle smile and pushed open the door to enter the luxurious, spacious classroom, the previously noisy chatter inside abruptly came to a halt.

The entire room instantly became deathly silent.

One could practically hear a pin drop.

These students had originally all considered themselves extraordinary.

But since every single one of them had already been thoroughly beaten into the ground by Miss Mengxi before, they all instinctively shut their mouths the moment the silver-haired girl arrived.

After all, they knew perfectly well that their gentle and kind class monitor did not like noisy environments.

However,

considering a few words she had vaguely overheard in the corridor earlier, Mengxi couldn’t help becoming slightly curious about what her classmates had been discussing.

Glancing toward an elf girl sitting on top of a desk nearby with one leg crossed over the other, looking every bit like a female hooligan, Mengxi asked curiously,

”Shaina, what were you all talking about? Why were you making such a racket? This classroom’s soundproofing is already so good, but I could still hear you from outside.”

Hearing Mengxi suddenly ask her,

the elf girl sitting on the desk, who possessed delicate features and beautiful long emerald-green hair, immediately froze.

Clearly,

she had never expected Mengxi, who normally paid absolutely no attention to their noisy conversations, to suddenly ask her about something like this.

More importantly, this was the first time in an entire year that the goddess in her heart had主动ly spoken to her!

Big Sister?!

She talked to me?!!

Whoa, I’m not dreaming, am I?! Big Sister, who usually barely acknowledges me, actually spoke to me?! Aaaaaaaaaah!!!! Mmm, what kind of blessed day is today?!

Could it be...

Big Sister finally realized how wonderful I am? Is she planning to abandon those stinking men and be with me instead?!

Hehehe~ Hehehehe~

...

The elf girl was beside herself with excitement.

However, as a princess of the Elf Race, the extensive mental discipline she had received in the past still helped the excited princess quickly calm the raging emotions inside her.

In the next instant, the now-composed Elf Princess Shaina immediately jumped down from the desk and excitedly hurried over to Mengxi.

”It’s like this, Big Sister~... Ah, no! Class Monitor! Didn’t we hear that a new lead instructor is coming soon? Everyone was discussing that new instructor.”

”Oh?”

Hearing this, Mengxi’s interest immediately rose another level.

”Discussing her? Are you all discussing how to welcome the new lead instructor?”

”Welcome? Uh... well...”

Shaina awkwardly twirled a slender finger around a lock of her beautiful emerald-green hair and shifted her gaze away.

”About that... actually...”

”What’s wrong? Why are you hesitating?”

”Uh...”

”What’s there to hesitate about? Just say it.”

Seeing Shaina’s indecisive expression, another boy leaning against the wall with his arms crossed let out a disdainful snort.

Then, the white-haired boy dressed in a long black coat, carrying himself with an imposing air and radiating an aura that told strangers to stay away, began walking toward Mengxi.

The other students along his path all revealed respectful expressions upon seeing him approach and very consciously moved aside to clear a path.

This dragon-horned boy was the son of the current Queen of the Dragon Race, Buqieke-Anfulaoer.

He was also the strongest person in this class apart from Mengxi.

At the same time,

this Dragon Race boy was also currently one of the biggest tyrants on campus.

With both hands in his pockets, the boy slowly walked up in front of Mengxi.

After rolling his eyes at Elf Princess Shaina beside him, he spoke bluntly to Mengxi without beating around the bush.

”Welcome her? Class Monitor, aren’t you misunderstanding something? What’s there to welcome?”

”Hm? Why do you say that?”

”Class Monitor, you should know... this new lead instructor is just a temporary replacement.”

”I know that.”

”Good.”

Pressing his lips together, an indescribable irritation seemed to surge through Buqieke’s dragon eyes.

”That previous lead instructor Sakara might not have seemed like much to me either. He was always nagging about this and that every single day. Annoying as hell. But at least the guy was a Peak Sixth-Tier powerhouse. He also had more than thirty years of teaching experience and was one of the top teachers in all of Yexinlian Royal Academy, someone who had even earned a Special-Grade Teacher Certification.

”In short, he was at least qualified to lead our class.

”But now? This lead instructor suddenly takes temporary leave for some ridiculous reason like ‘maternity leave’?

”Leaving at a time like this, how the hell are we supposed to continue the training plan we’d already gotten halfway through? He personally designed that entire plan!”

”...”

”This fucking academy is way too irresponsible, isn’t it?!

”And that damn old bastard of a vice headmaster somehow found an even more unreliable replacement! I heard this new lead instructor is a woman who’s never worked at any school before and has absolutely zero teaching experience.

”Apparently she’s even some noble lady from the Sadik Empire?!

”A noble lady suddenly coming here to become a teacher?!

”Isn’t she probably just doing this because she wants to satisfy some role-playing fantasy?!

”And they’re going to let a teacher like that lead our class?!

”What kind of joke is this?!

”How the hell are we supposed to welcome a lead instructor like that?!”

”Then... what are you planning to do about it?”

Mengxi tilted her head and asked playfully.

In response,

Buqieke smiled again, crossed his arms over his chest, and assumed an extremely arrogant yet utterly confident posture.

”Simple.

”We’ll work together and give this new noble lady a proper show of force!

”Once she realizes how difficult we are, she’ll back down and run crying all the way home. Problem solved!”
