Forced to Sell Myself to the Female Lead After Killing the Male Lead

Actually,

there was another important reason why Buqieke was so furious about Yexinlian Royal Academy replacing their homeroom teacher, aside from feeling that he had been slighted.

His original plan had been ruined because of it.

As the son of the Dragon Queen, Buqieke could have lived comfortably in the Dragon Valley, peacefully enjoying a luxurious life.

The reason he had come all the way to Yexinlian Royal Academy was because he had no other choice.

To outsiders, the Dragon Race might seem incredibly glorious.

They possessed long lifespans and overwhelming strength, sat atop countless treasures of gold and silver, and occupied the Dragon Valley in the south-central region, guarding one of the continent’s most important strategic passages.

However, the Dragon Race’s actual situation nowadays was rather miserable.

As a race regarded as outsiders, their influence across the continent had continuously been suppressed and reduced. And lately, some shameless hooligans had even started bullying them right in their own home!

The entire Dragon Race had been thrown into chaos practically every single day!

And the main culprit responsible for making it impossible for them to live in peace was none other than that damned Black Rose Family!

Those living beasts kept barging into the Dragon Valley under the banner of ‘friendly visits’ and wreaking havoc however they pleased.

Yesterday they looted treasures.

Today they stole magic stones.

Tomorrow they would fucking come back again to pry scales off the Dragon Kings.

Their talent for draining every last resource was so outrageous that even Satan himself would probably feel fucking ashamed in comparison!

Although the Black Rose Family’s power had helped preserve internal stability among the Dragon Race and prevented them from splitting apart, their relentless ‘friendly visits’ lately had unquestionably made it impossible for the dragons to calm down and focus on cultivation and development.

The Dragon Race’s elites had already reached a conclusion.

The Black Rose Family’s objective was to suppress the Dragon Race’s growth.

Therefore,

if they wanted to regain their freedom and once again become one of the foremost powers on the Anqieka Continent, they had to completely free themselves from the Black Rose Family’s control.

However, considering the current gap in raw power between the Dragon Race and the Black Rose Family, relying solely on their own strength to break free seemed somewhat difficult.

And so, under his mother’s instructions, Buqieke had come to Yexinlian Royal Academy.

Officially, he was here to study.

In reality, however, he had come to search for potential allies.

Ideally, he wanted to obtain support from either the Asumos Church or the Crimson Leaf Empire.

Of course, considering that the Dragon Race’s relationship with both of these powers was already rather poor...

The difficulty of achieving this objective was obvious.

Fortunately,

through his own relentless efforts, Buqieke had finally managed to establish a good relationship with their former homeroom teacher, Sakala.

And Sakala just happened to be the nephew of the Crimson Leaf Empire’s Prime Minister.

If he could make proper use of that connection, perhaps Buqieke really could find a way out of the Dragon Race’s current predicament.

However,

just when the dragon boy finally caught sight of a glimmer of hope and felt that all those years of ‘enduring humiliation for a greater purpose’ were finally beginning to pay off...

Sakala was fucking transferred away at this exact critical moment?!

In an instant, the entire plan collapsed.

How could Buqieke not be furious?!

And when he learned that the new homeroom teacher was apparently a complete rookie with absolutely no teaching experience, Buqieke, who already felt that he had been looked down upon, had gasoline poured straight onto the flames in his heart.

His anger erupted instantly.

Someone who got in through connections?

A fucking nepotism hire?!

If I don’t make her cry for her parents and run home bawling,

I’ll write my own name backward!

That was the oath Buqieke had made to himself just before preparing to unleash a merciless verbal assault on the black-haired girl in front of him...

However,

the instant he heard the black-haired girl announce the surname ‘Black Rose,’ Buqieke completely fizzled out.

It was as though he had just been struck by a billion volts of electricity.

He froze stupidly in place...

?!!!

!

“Black Rose?! She... she’s from the Black Rose Family?!”

Staring fixedly at the black-haired girl before him, Buqieke felt as though ten million alpacas were stampeding straight through his heart.

His heartbeat nearly stopped entirely.

Come to think of it...

The name Yu-Black Rose sounded kind of familiar too?

Wasn’t she that Young Lady of the Black Rose Family who had caused such a huge stir some time ago?!

Why the hell was that Young Lady suddenly here?!

The noble young lady from the Sadik Empire whom the vice headmaster had mentioned before...

The one who would be coming here as a teacher?!

That was her?!

Why did it have to be her?!

Fuck!

Are you screwing with me?!

Buqieke began screaming madly inside his head.

However, the dragon boy had absolutely no doubts about the black-haired girl’s identity.

After all, this was Yexinlian Royal Academy.

There was no way someone could become a teacher here using a fake identity.

Besides...

‘Black Rose’ was not a surname that just anyone would dare to use.

As for why Yexinlian Royal Academy would hire someone from the Black Rose Family as a teacher...

Buqieke didn’t have the mental capacity to think about that right now.

His rapidly spinning brain was currently serving only one purpose.

One question.

“Why did this Young Lady come here?! And why did she become our homeroom teacher?!”

Wait?!

Could it be?!

...

In an instant, a flash of realization crossed Buqieke’s mind.

He felt as though he had guessed the answer.

Damn it.

Those bastards from the Black Rose Family must have figured out what the Dragon Race was planning!

They knew the Dragon Race intended to establish ties with the Crimson Leaf Empire!

That must be why they used some underhanded trick at this exact moment to get Teacher Sakala transferred away!

They didn’t want my plan to succeed...

And then this Young Lady personally came to the academy?

Don’t tell me she’s here to warn me?!

-“If you dragons keep refusing to behave, don’t blame us for getting rough~”-

In his daze,

Buqieke almost heard those words whispering beside his ear.

Although this was only speculation,

when the dragon boy met the black-haired girl’s deep eyes, which seemed filled with an ‘icy chill,’ saw the meaningful upward curve of her lips, and sensed the faint oppressive darkness seemingly lingering around her...

Buqieke practically reached a conclusion in his heart.

The black-haired girl before him was absolutely not some ordinary noble young lady.

As the Young Lady of the Black Rose Family, she had to be the ruthless, cruel, merciless type.

Her entire aura was practically overflowing with something sinister.

She definitely wasn’t someone to mess with...

If he continued recklessly provoking her like this, perhaps he really would end up exactly as the Black Rose Duke had once threatened—

turned into a fragrant dragon-meat feast,

then fed to wolves...

“Crap... This... this is really bad!! Something terrible is going to happen!!”

Buqieke muttered uneasily inside his heart.

His body even began trembling involuntarily.

An emotion called ‘fear’ started spreading through his body like a virus carried through his hormones.

Meanwhile,

because Buqieke had suddenly stopped talking halfway through his sentence, the black-haired girl standing behind the teacher’s podium blinked in confusion.

Then she asked again,

“Um... this student? Was there something you wanted to say?”

Completely ordinary words.

Yet in Buqieke’s ears, they instantly transformed into the whisper of a demon.

-“Go on. Say it again. I dare you.”-

Buqieke seemed to hear another hallucination.

At that instant,

he felt as though the life and death of the entire Dragon Race had been placed in his hands.

Under that enormous pressure, Buqieke clenched both fists tightly and fell into a brief silence.

--

Meanwhile,

“We don’t care who you are. Right now, there’s only one thing I want to tell you first. Someone like you, who has no experience and only entered this academy through connections, is... is...”

Boss,

what’s going on?

Several male students who had been waiting for Buqieke to finish his declaration so they could immediately echo him stared blankly at the silent dragon boy after witnessing this completely unexpected situation.

Countless question marks seemed to pop up over the heads of his lackeys.

Why did Boss suddenly stop talking?

Could it be?

Was the other side so beautiful that Boss couldn’t bear to insult her?

No, no, no.

Impossible.

Considering Buqieke’s personality, someone who had never once shown tenderness toward women, the dragon boy’s followers immediately shook their heads and rejected that thought.

“I get it! Boss must be brewing something even more vicious and merciless! He’s preparing to deliver a fatal blow to this overconfident new teacher and crush her fighting spirit in one strike!”

Mm.

That had to be it.

The three lackeys with red, yellow, and blue hair stared expectantly at Buqieke, waiting for their boss to demonstrate his incredible eloquence and use the most vicious words imaginable to utterly destroy the teacher’s self-esteem.

And then,

the three lackeys witnessed something rather baffling.

The dragon boy, who was normally unruly and arrogant to the extreme, with smugness practically written all over his face, suddenly lowered both hands.

Then he carefully moved his foot off the desk...

and even used his sleeve to wipe away the mark his shoe had left behind.

Three lackeys: Hm??

The next moment,

under the dumbfounded gazes of those three lackeys and the rest of the class, the dragon boy raised a hand with apparent embarrassment and awkwardly scratched the back of his head.

“Hehe... hehehe... um... sorry... I was speaking a little too loudly just now...”

Three lackeys: Huh? Boss??? What... are you saying?
