One Piece: Collective Viewing of the Future, Starting from God Valley

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: The Powerhouses Watch Ace vs. Blackbeard!

...

At this moment, little Teach in Rocks’ arms had his eyes wide open, staring unblinkingly at the light screen where his future self looked ferocious and twisted.

What was astonishing was that at this point, little Teach seemed to understand that the blood-soaked man in the scene was his future self!

In his young eyes flickered an unusual gleam that didn’t match his age at all.

”Hey, Rocks—that kid’s your son, right?”

Roger pointed at the scene on the light screen where Teach was slaying his crewmate, frowning tightly: ”Your son sure has a ruthless hand.”

In Roger’s impression, although Rocks acted wildly and unrestrained, he at least valued loyalty and bonds—at the very least... he wouldn’t lay such a vicious hand on comrades who fought side by side.

”Cut the nonsense!”

Rocks abruptly cut Roger off, his arms unconsciously tightening, shielding little Teach in his embrace even more protectively.

”My son could never be that kind of person! This light screen must be some demonic thing that bewitches the mind!”

As a father, Rocks would rather believe this was an absurd illusion than accept that his child would one day turn into such a figure.

[Speaking of this ”Blackbeard,” his life can be called the pinnacle of endurance. He was originally just an ordinary member of the Whitebeard Pirates’ 2nd division. To seize the Dark-Dark Fruit he dreamed of, he didn’t hesitate to kill Thatch, the captain of the 4th division who’d sailed with him for years. After defeating Roger’s son ”Fire Fist” Ace, he successfully ascended to the position of Warlord of the Sea.]

[That earth-shaking clash between light and darkness ultimately ignited the Summit War that changed the world. At the most critical moment of the war, he openly betrayed his Warlord oath, seizing Whitebeard’s Tremor-Tremor Fruit power while the legend lay dying, ultimately replacing that legendary pirate and joining the ranks of the new Four Emperors.]

[What chills people to the bone is that this man endured in the Whitebeard Pirates for over twenty years. He staked his entire life on a Devil Fruit he might never obtain, even prepared to lurk in hiding for life if he failed...]

[For the sake of ambition, he willingly buried his youth and could mercilessly kill comrades he’d spent day and night with. This near-cruel tenacity and greed truly make one’s blood run cold.]

[He’s like a venomous snake coiled in the shadows, perfectly concealing his blazing ambition behind a thick-headed exterior. His depth of cunning and danger of schemes leave people defenseless.]

[”Arrogance and carelessness—that’s your weakness.” That was the evaluation Whitebeard, who had raised him for decades, gave him in his final moments. Unfortunately, Blackbeard, having just obtained dual Devil Fruit powers, was immersed in the ecstasy of victory, proclaiming to the world ”From now on, it’s my era,” completely failing to notice this fatal character flaw.]

”What?! My... son?!”

Roger was completely stunned when he heard Linley mention Ace—he never expected there to be a ”story” involving him here too.

The light screen scene changed again!

This time it arrived at Banaro Island, the site of Ace vs. Blackbeard. Having obtained the Dark-Dark Fruit, Teach completely dominated Ace throughout the fight.

Watching this great battle, everyone’s expressions at the scene were stunned, because they realized this clash...

It was almost like little Rocks and little Roger were there—the two resembled their fathers far too much.

”Wororororo~ This Logia-type Dark-Dark Fruit can actually nullify other Devil Fruit powers—what a bizarre ability!”

Although she really wanted to tease Roger, at this moment Big Mom’s gaze was completely fixed on Blackbeard using the Dark-Dark Fruit.

As a Devil Fruit user herself, this was the first time she’d heard of such a Devil Fruit.

”What kind of freakish power is this? A Logia type that can’t even turn into elements—Rocks, your son really is one of a kind!”

Golden Lion Shiki floated in midair, first throwing a sarcastic jab at little Teach in Rocks’ arms before continuing to watch the light screen content.

Now he could confirm one thing: this thing posed absolutely no harm to them!

”Why is it... when I see Roger’s son getting hurt, my heart feels so pained!?”

At this moment Garp stood less than a few dozen meters from Roger. He originally had no interest in any of this, but seeing Ace injured, his heart inexplicably ached for a moment.

This inexplicable emotion completely baffled Garp.

Actually, it wasn’t just Garp who felt this way—Whitebeard beside Rocks also felt his heart tighten inexplicably when he saw Ace being elbowed flying by Teach.

Although he didn’t know what happened later, that strange thing earlier had said Roger’s son would later be adopted by him.

And not just Roger’s son—even Rocks’ son was in his pirate crew. This really caught Whitebeard off guard.

”My future son is named Ace, huh? How interesting!” Roger looked at Ace on the light screen, then glanced at the beloved sword in his hand—his sword was also called Ace.

”If I submit to power, then as a man I have no meaning at all!”

In the light screen scene, the heavily wounded Ace heard Blackbeard Teach’s recruitment offer once again and rejected it firmly.

”I will never leave regrets in my life! Got it, you bastard!”

Facing the endless darkness pouring from Blackbeard, even gravely injured, Ace didn’t retreat a single step!

Hearing Ace refuse to join once more, Teach’s killing intent flared.

Teach looked at Ace with a sinister expression, then spoke his understanding of the world:

”In this world, survival is the most important thing. It’s truly a shame, Ace...”

”Bury yourself in darkness!”

As soon as Teach finished speaking, he roared loudly. Darkness surged from his body like tidal waves, blotting out the sky in pitch blackness!

”Great Flame Ring: Emperor!”

The entire Banaro Island staged a confrontation between light and darkness!

One was the son of Pirate King Gol D. Roger.

The other was the son of the greatest ambitious figure in pirate history, Rocks D. Xebec!

Father and son!

”Zehahahaha. The sun or the darkness... only one can win!”

Blackbeard watched Ace’s ultimate move with his usual arrogance, as if Teach was absolutely certain Ace could never defeat him!

”I will carry on Whitebeard’s will... and ascend the throne!”

After Ace and Teach finished speaking, the two charged forward without regard for their lives.

Accompanied by heart-rending roars from both sides, flames and darkness collided!

The immense destructive power shook the entire island—flames blazed fiercely, darkness cold and eerie.

But in the end, a victor emerged. The light screen’s scene shifted to Ace’s fallen hat...

[The decisive battle on Banaro Island in the Grand Line—the duel between the pirates Blackbeard and Fire Fist Ace—was later called the spark that ignited that earth-shattering great event!]

[Fire Fist Ace ultimately lost to Blackbeard Teach!]
