All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 13: Chapter 13: No One Can Take Her Empire (13)

”Yes, there are a lot of firewood around the houses inside. I suspect that there may be oil in other places. When our army goes in at night, these people will ignite the firewood with oil and catch us off guard. You calculated quite accurately; if we fall for it, it will be a great defeat. If they use the Great King to threaten us at this time, it will surely demoralize our troops. What a good scheme.”

”This scheme is very vicious.” Xun Zihuai knows that war is cruel, but to burn people alive, it sounds terrifying. The suffering of the dying is evident even without experiencing it.

”Are you going out, General?”

”Hmm, I plan to clear out the place overnight, to break their scheme. They have probably received the news that we are encamped outside the city today, so they won’t stay in the city. Tonight, we break the scheme, by morning, we can enter the city and capture the enemy in a pot.”

”If my guess is correct, not far from the other side, many civilians should be settled. It’s not easy to relocate all the people of a whole city. Based on the attitude of the civilians toward our army after previous sieges, these civilians probably aren’t willingly camping outside; they must have been threatened.”

Xun Zihuai: ”If the General trusts me, let me bring those civilians back tomorrow. Give me some men, I assure you the remaining civilians in the city will look forward to your unification.”

”How many men do you need?”

”A hundred elite soldiers will suffice.”

”Alright, I’ll give them to you.”

That night, Qiann Yan led two thousand elite soldiers to clear all the firewood from within the entire city, found the oil used for ignition, thanks to Xun Zihuai’s calculations. They also captured the inner agents stationed in the city.

At dawn, Qiann Yan led the army into the city.

Meanwhile, Xun Zihuai took the one hundred elite soldiers, secretly went to the other side, and hid in the grass waiting for the opportunity. In the evening, when some suspicious people sneaked into the city, he led his men away.

Those who sneaked into the city were caught immediately upon entry.

By the next morning, Xun Zihuai brought the original city’s civilians back into the city. Naturally, this city and all its civilians now belonged to Qiann Yan.

The civilians had long anticipated General Yun’s arrival, but Prince Chang was unwilling and threatened residents with their lives, forcing them to prepare firewood and drive them outside. They were closely watched, and those who secretly tried to report were killed, so no one dared to act.

Now seeing the situation turned around, everyone cheered.

”General’s unification of the world is the trend, and the people’s desire.” Xun Zihuai complimented without reservation, to which Qiann Yan had long been accustomed.

After a few days of reorganization, Qiann Yan continued to siege cities.

The next three cities proceeded smoothly. Again, it was Xun Zihuai’s arranged people who played a role, persuading civilians already in favor of Qiann Yan to take advantage of the guards’ negligence, killing them and opening the city gates.

At this point, only Prince Chang’s Capital City was left.

Qiann Yan brought her army to the foot of Prince Chang’s Capital City.

Prince Chang’s dream of endless feasts and revelry was shattered, forcing him to come to the city wall with a hateful expression on his fat face, loathing the woman below.

If it weren’t for her existence, he would at least control half of the world.

How could someone like Hee Qingshan possibly be his match?

”You are indeed fortunate to have such a woman conquer the kingdom for you.” Prince Chang couldn’t help but express his anger, slapping Hee Qingshan’s face several times, making his handsome face swell instantly.

”Is it because you relied on this face to keep Yun Qianyan wrapped around your finger?”
