Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1765: Chapter 1768: Harvesting the Foolish?

Outside Nanshan City.

At this moment, there was a small crowd here.

Qin Hai, who was skilled at pyramid schemes, was among them.

Yes, Qin Hai had left Nanshan City.

He carried a small package on his back, filled with modern items infused with Cultivation, deemed useful by Lord Lu.

They had a foundation in modern technology, and although they didn’t quite understand how it worked, they weren’t worried about being unable to use it.

Qin Hai looked back at Nanshan City and recalled the information Lord Lu had shown them. For some reason, he too felt a sense of defending the homeland.

Even though they were about to engage in something questionable.

But then again, as Lord Lu said, the line between good and bad is often a simple thought away.

Take killing, for example, is it a bad thing?

But killing an enemy during wartime—isn’t that war and not murder?

However, are those who killed people bad? Are they doing bad deeds?

No! They are heroes, doing good deeds!

Qin Hai shook his head to discard these thoughts. Regardless, first discovering this new world was the priority.

He then turned to look at Liu Bo, who was equally ambitious yet apprehensive: ”Old Liu, let’s set off separately then!”

”Alright! Nothing more to say, I hope we meet again!” Liu Bo nodded heavily.

This journey would likely be one of great peril, since the people here were Cultivators; deceiving them was wagering with life.

”I think so too!” Qin Hai laughed heartily: ”But, leaving this life here is no big deal! After all, I’ve done my share of dirty deeds in this life, now it’s like being tasked to scam!”

”Naturally!” Liu Bo chuckled as well.

Then, Qin Hai faced the east: ”Let’s go, boys!”

Instantly, the thirty-two people following him responded in unison: ”Yes!”

Liu Bo also looked toward the east, but he merely waved, and the fifty-three people behind him followed like old oxen.

Although both were heading east, their directions were different.

Qin Hai was heading to the more stable Southeast Gourd Island, while Liu Bo was headed to the still somewhat chaotic Northeast Gourd Island.

Thus, the two groups parted ways, each on their own journey.

...

Qin Hai led his men forward.

For better or worse, they were now Golden Core Stage Cultivators. Although they hadn’t deliberately trained their bodies to the inhuman level of Lu Xiaobu, their speed wasn’t slow.

Soon, they arrived at their destination—God Slaying City.

The name alone indicated that this was currently the headquarters of the God Slaying Alliance.

Originally, it wasn’t named this, and the headquarters of the God Slaying Alliance wasn’t located here.

But after the plan failed, the God Slaying Alliance moved their surface headquarters here and changed the name.

The reason was simple: it was closer to Gourd Waist, allowing faster news transmission since West Melon Island had become a significant threat to them.

And Qin Hai’s target was here.

It wasn’t a matter of knowingly entering a tiger’s den; it was mainly because the environment here was stable, under the God Slaying Alliance’s control, so there weren’t many odd occurrences.

Pyramid schemes rely on greed, naturally choosing places that are stable and wealthy.

Qin Hai did not enter the city immediately but first hid the items given to them by Lu Xiaobu.

These items were peculiar and would likely attract the God Slaying Alliance’s attention.

After sorting things out, they finally set out for God Slaying City.

After announcing their arrival, being inspected, and completing a series of procedures, they finally entered God Slaying City.

”Boss, this place is nice,”

One of Qin Hai’s subordinates whispered to him, ”It looks quite wealthy.”

The fellow was Wang Lai, one of the first to follow Qin Hai, bold, meticulous, and thus favored by Qin Hai.

”Yes, indeed!” Qin Hai nodded.

Not to mention, this city was over ten times the size of Nanshan City!

In Gourd Waist, this city alone could suppress half of Gourd Waist!

Then, after looking around, he continued, ”Let’s go, into the inner city!”

God Slaying City was divided into several regions: outer city, inner city, restricted zone, inhabited by ordinary people, Cultivators, and God Slaying Alliance members, respectively.

Upon entering the inner city, without needing Qin Hai’s instructions, his thirty-two subordinates scattered.

They went to gather information.

Before deploying the troops, knowledge must advance, which was crucial!

Meanwhile, Qin Hai went to a teahouse to drink tea and wait.

Simultaneously, he began frantically thinking through the entire plan in his mind.

First, it was essential to cozy up to someone from the God Slaying Alliance. With such a person as backing, they could establish a foothold here.

Next, he would examine the economic model here, to understand the people’s concept of investment.

And the crucial point was, how intelligent were the people here?

Although he knew Cultivators were definitely smart, given that Cultivation had an enlightening effect.

This worried him the most; if there were genuinely clever people, it would not only be difficult to make money, but it could also cost him and his companions their lives here.

Though prepared for this, he didn’t want to die early in the endeavor.

Gradually, those who went out for intelligence started to return.

They didn’t say much but quietly waited for the rest to regroup and gather information.

Finally, they all returned.

After compiling the information, Qin Hai took it and examined it closely.

Reading it while pondering.

There were quite a few potential connections, seven or eight; he could contact them all.

The economic model was relatively ancient?

But, fortunately, it was still manageable!

Lastly, intelligence.

”Hiss!”

Qin Hai drew a sharp breath and looked at his most trusted, Wang Lai: ”Really?”

”Really!” Wang Lai also had a peculiar expression, evidently knowing what Qin Hai was asking about. He whispered, ”The people here seem to be fools!”

”That can’t be right!” Qin Hai clicked his teeth.

Just a moment ago, he thought that the Cultivators’ intelligence must be high, and wondered how best to lure them into his schemes.

Yet, after the investigation, Wang Lai claimed these Cultivators were fools?

”I didn’t believe it either, but it’s undeniably true!” Wang Lai laughed bitterly: ”Although they don’t believe anything directly, just concoct some excuse, and they basically buy it, especially those whose Cultivation is slightly higher than ours!”

Qin Hai listened, more puzzled.

But he trusted Wang Lai’s words; unconsciously, a slightly mad plan began forming in his mind!

Damn, am I here to campaign or harvest vegetables?
