Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1761: Chapter 1764: Appetizer

Nanshan City.

Because the advisory group gives orders here, Hu Nanshan and the other three city lords were too lazy to travel back and forth, so they stayed here.

At this moment, the four of them were having a small gathering.

It wasn’t that their relationship was particularly good, but they had no choice but to get along, as among Lu Xiaobu’s factions, the four of them were in a position of too high to be low and too low to be high.

In terms of cultivation, they couldn’t compare with those Golden Core stage bigwigs from Hengqin City and Red City.

In terms of management, there was that advisory group managing things.

So, Lu Xiaobu’s initial team of four, now old Golden Core stage cultivators, found themselves in an awkward position and could only huddle together for warmth.

Qi Jiatong took a sip of wine and smacked his lips: ”What do you think is the use of all those weird things the advisory group came up with?”

Hu Nanshan rolled his eyes: ”Whatever use they have is fine, otherwise I’d really be a fool. I, a dignified city lord, manufacture all sorts of things at their beck and call. Is it easy for me?”

”And me!” He Quwu also felt the same: ”Old Hu, you’re better off. At least it’s something called civil engineering or whatever. But me? I have to make all kinds of metal items, big and small. Making one is fine, but they even have all sorts of requests, like making an opening here or a door there!”

The two were complaining, not because they were tired, because these tasks weren’t tiring for them.

Instead, they found it annoying, and also because of the sense of lowering status from city lord to craftsman.

Although they were already like Lu Xiaobu’s slaves, outsiders didn’t know that.

As a result, over the past few days, more than one person saw them obediently following orders before youngsters, losing face completely!

Only He Quwu showed high interest: ”Haven’t you seen the things produced? Even though I don’t understand some, some are quite fun!”

”Oh?” Hu Nanshan looked at Liu Funing.

He already felt embarrassed working under the command of the younger ones, so naturally, he wouldn’t voluntarily go and see the things made in his spare time.

So, he really didn’t know what those things were for.

”Like this.” Liu Funing was very interested and took out a square object from his chest.

”What’s this?” He Quwu was also curious: ”This square, smooth object is pleasing to the eye, is it a decoration?”

Hu Nanshan was more direct, reaching out and taking it from Liu Funing’s hand, applying a little force.

Suddenly, the square thing in his hand dented, causing Hu Nanshan to frown: ”Not hard, is it food?”

While he was talking, he was about to send it to his mouth.

”Old Hu, it’s not for eating!” Liu Funing smiled broadly: ”This is called soap, used for cleaning stains.”

”Clean stains?” Hu Nanshan immediately lost interest.

At their stage, a slight release of True Yuan could shake off all stains, making this thing useless.

”It’s useless for you, but it’s useful for ordinary people!” Liu Funing laughed: ”I learned a new word, hygiene. I’ve also seen people use it, and after washing, they do indeed look much cleaner.”

”Whether they wash or not doesn’t concern me.” Qi Jiatong was somewhat indifferent.

He was interested earlier, but upon hearing it was for ordinary people, he instantly lost interest.

Ordinary people?

His thoughts were almost identical to those cultivation madmen who watched the ten thousand mountains at Northwest Gourd Island prepare to attack.

Though they wouldn’t slaughter freely, they also wouldn’t care too much.

”Let’s not mention that, but you have to wash your clothes, don’t you? The house still needs to be cleaned, right? You don’t want to do it all yourself, do you?” Liu Funing shook his head: ”And this thing can increase efficiency and add a faint fragrance to cleaned items.”

Hearing this, the remaining three nodded slightly.

In this aspect, they agreed.

Liu Funing was right. They could clean themselves, but how could they possibly wash clothes or sweep the house personally?

”In that case, giving these things to the servants at home could at least make them more pleasing on the eyes.” Hu Nanshan said offhandedly: ”Seeing them neat and tidy would be pleasant too.”

”Indeed, those in the Foundation Establishment stage and Qi Refinement Realm also need this. Pretty useful.” He Quwu also thought it through.

Those with lower cultivation who couldn’t self-clean would naturally find this thing useful.

”Make some money, not bad.” Qi Jiatong also commented: ”Still, just mundane things.”

Cultivators didn’t care much for gold and silver anymore, placing more importance on Spirit Stones.

”Not quite, not quite!” Liu Funing shook his head: ”I consulted about it, and one of the advisors said this thing can also be sold with Spirit Stones!”

”What?!” Hu Nanshan was taken aback: ”This thing can be sold for Spirit Stones?”

Qi Jiatong was also in disbelief—cultivators barely ate anymore, why would they use Spirit Stones to buy this?

Liu Funing didn’t keep them in suspense: ”Advisors said, we big men might not care, but what about those female cultivators? They love cleanliness. Even though they know they can use True Yuan to cleanse directly, they still go wash.”

Hearing this, the other three nodded, indeed true.

Not to mention female cultivators, even they often bathed themselves, out of habit.

”So, the advisor said they’re thinking of boosting the fragrance of this thing, maybe add some Body Refining Liquid or Youthful Pill ingredients—not for real body refining, just to make users feel relaxed and make the fragrance stronger after bathing. Female cultivators wouldn’t hesitate to pay a Spirit Stone at least!”

The three nodded more earnestly this time.

It makes sense, indeed!

They had seen female cultivators spend Spirit Stones on odd things that seemed entirely useless to them.

In fact, not just female cultivators; they thought to themselves that if this thing made bathing a bit more enjoyable, they too wouldn’t be stingy.

After all, spending just one Spirit Stone to buy hundreds of these so-called soaps could mean enjoying a more pleasant bath and keeping their homes clean and pleasant—it was something they could accept.

However, He Quwu still shook his head: ”Still, if it’s just this, I find it a bit annoying!”

A dignified Golden Core cultivator, a city lord, and having used Divine Skills, yet all that’s achieved is making things to please women.

It’s still a bit embarrassing!

”Of course not, that’s just an appetizer.” Liu Funing suddenly smiled mysteriously.

Then, he began fetching something again.

This time, the other three perked up and watched him intently.
