Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 1291: Chapter 1292: Way of Thinking

Behind the monitor, Elder Yu stroked his chin while looking at the screen, slightly surprised: ”Is it luck, or did they really notice something?”

He knew a bit about the situation with this machine.

Don’t think the researchers are idiots, looking at a machine that’s obviously for digging, without imagining its use for digging.

This is science, not something where you can just let your imagination run wild.

As for the machine’s appearance, to be honest, they really don’t care.

After all, is it difficult to make it look like this?

It’s incredibly simple!

So, they really don’t care about the appearance. What truly captures their attention is the new connection and operation mode developed by the ”female brute force”.

They have been pondering over how this new method can be applied.

This led them to overlook the appearance showcased by the machine itself.

It might sound confusing, so let’s make it simple with an example.

Everyone has surely studied mathematics, right?

There’s a classic problem about a swimming pool manager who fills the pool while it’s being drained, asking how long it will take to empty it.

When you solve the problem, do you calculate the data to find the answer,

or do you curse the pool manager for being a fool, wasting resources by filling and draining the pool at the same time?

With this metaphor, you probably understand what I mean.

In the eyes of these scientific researchers, the appearance is unimportant, they instinctively overlook it, focusing on one or several breakthrough technologies instead.

They always think from a technical standpoint.

Thus, when Lu Xiaobu shared his thoughts, coincidentally aligning with the application of the new technology, it led to the previous scene.

It’s like in martial arts novels where only a fool can learn the martial arts style, which seems simple to them, but a bunch of smart people can never master it.

Isn’t that awkward?

”It should be luck.” Mr. Wang said, somewhat unsure.

If it were anyone else, he wouldn’t hesitate to think it’s luck, but with Lu Xiaobu, he’s not so sure.

”Interesting, whether it’s luck or not, it’s clear that having Lu Xiaobu join is not a bad thing.” Elder Yu laughed, with a very meaningful smile.

...

At this moment, the researchers were truly embarrassed to death!

In their hearts, they understood there was a reason, but just couldn’t explain it.

”Instructor, never mind that, why don’t you teach us something!” Qi Tao coughed to change the subject.

If the conversation continued, these thin-skinned researchers would want to die of embarrassment.

”Teach you something?” Lu Xiaobu went along with it and stopped speaking to the researchers.

He stroked his chin, looking at these soldiers, and began to ponder.

What should he teach them?

It seemed there wasn’t really anything to teach!

”What do you want to learn? You must know quite a bit about me, right? Tell me, if I can teach it, I won’t be stingy.” Lu Xiaobu finally forced a smile and passed the ball to Fan Ming and the others.

He genuinely didn’t know what he could teach.

Now it was Fan Ming and the others’ turn to be troubled.

As Lu Xiaobu said, they were very familiar with their neighbor, Lu Xiaobu.

Their familiarity with Lu Xiaobu’s accomplishments was unparalleled!

However, these feats were so significant that each could be called a miracle!

So here’s the issue!

If it’s a miracle, it’s unrepeatable, unteachable.

Learning to squander wealth? Do they have money?

Learning to earn money? They have no capital!

Learning strategies? They’ve already studied those eight hundred times; all strategies have been previously spoken of by ancestors, it’s just a matter of execution.

Amidst everyone exchanging perplexed glances, Elder Yu’s voice came through: ”Instructor Lu, why don’t you teach everyone how to analyze intelligence?”

”Analyze intelligence?” At these words, Lu Xiaobu didn’t ponder who spoke or why.

After all, these things are evident.

Could a base not have a person in charge?

He arrived, so wouldn’t the person in charge check on what he’s doing?

It’s a normal thing!

After pondering, Lu Xiaobu spoke: ”You want me to teach them my thought process, right?”

”Instructor Lu indeed has unparalleled wisdom,” Elder Yu praised, ”Exactly, in my view, the most valuable lesson from Instructor Lu is his unorthodox, open-minded way of thinking. I’d like to learn from it.”

”I don’t mind sharing, but you know, this isn’t something easily taught hand-in-hand, there’s no specific formula!”

”I can teach it, but I can’t guarantee the results,” Lu Xiaobu said softly.

”That’s sufficient,” Elder Yu nodded, ”They’ve learned various specialized skills already, it’s time for them to acquire higher-level knowledge. Whether they learn or not depends on luck.”

”Oh? Do you have any examples?” Lu Xiaobu laughed.

Learning a thought process is one thing, but why say analyzing intelligence?

Clearly, there might be some intelligence involved currently.

”Then I’ll pose a problem: Suppose you have a cruise ship about to enter international waters, with many tourists on board. There are two people we want to capture inside. You only have a five-man special operations team. If it were you, how would you direct them?”

Elder Yu succinctly provided the scenario.

”Oh?” Lu Xiaobu squinted his eyes and began to ponder.

Lu Xiaobu: ”Has the other party detected my actions?”

Elder Yu: ”No, but they are extremely vigilant.”

Lu Xiaobu: ”Have they taken hostages?”

Elder Yu: ”They haven’t, but likely have plans. They’re exceptionally cautious, always hiding amidst the crowd!”

Lu Xiaobu: ”Is there anyone aiding them?”

Elder Yu: ”Yes, but they’ve yet to appear. They’re presumably in international waters.”

Lu Xiaobu: ”What about the combat prowess of the targets?”

Elder Yu: ”The opponents are armed.”

Lu Xiaobu: ”That’s simple, send someone to make a hole in the ship. I don’t need to explain further, right?”

Elder Yu raised an eyebrow: ”A brilliant idea! Only you could think of such a tactic! Using a ship to gain a moment’s confusion!”

Lu Xiaobu: ”Just overly extravagant, that’s all.”

Subsequently, this cryptic conversation concluded.

Inside the monitoring room.

Mr. Wang looked at Elder Yu with confusion.

”I received intelligence that two spies plan to escape.” Elder Yu didn’t elaborate, simply stating.

But, with that one line, everything was explained.

What Elder Yu referred to wasn’t just a hypothetical problem!
