Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 581: Chapter 579: The Killing Plan [5th Update for Alliance Hierarch ’One Life One Pair’]

After hearing Lin Feng’s order, Housekeeper Jia returned to the room, closed the door, and began to pace incessantly.

Honestly, even though it was an order from Young Master Feng, when it came time to carry it out, he couldn’t help feeling uneasy and even fearful!

Because, executing this order could very well cost him his life!

The order was very simple, truly very simple.

Send someone to assassinate Lin Lie in Lu Xiaobu’s name.

No need for success, only for failure!

Simple enough order, right?

But the reality is not that easy!

Who is he!?

He is a servant of the Lin Family, even if he serves Young Master Feng, he is still a servant of the Lin Family. Now, to hire someone to assassinate Lin Lie?!

That is insubordination, a capital offense!!!

If the plan fails, he is certain to die!

But if the plan succeeds, will he not die?!

He will die all the same!

Whether it is to keep the secret undetected, or to face revenge and punishment once discovered, he is going to die!

After pacing for a while, he stopped, a glint of determination flashing in his eyes—there’s no point in hesitating! He must do it!

Young Master Feng will surely take good care of his family!

...

The perspective shifts back to Lin Lie.

After leaving Lin Feng, he felt a blockage in his heart the whole time!

Lin Feng’s words had really hit him hard.

He had always thought that soon, he would be the top brother of the Lin Family, to kill Lin Feng, who had always been above him, and then become the new one of the Imperial Four Young Masters, and from there rise step by step to become the Lin Family Head!

But today, Lin Feng told him that it was all just his fantasy.

Even if everything went smoothly, it would take at least three, five, or even ten years.

Not to mention, things wouldn’t possibly go smoothly.

How could his hot temper endure this?!

So, he went to a bar, hoping to drown his beautiful dreams in alcohol and desire.

”Drink! Come on! Keep it coming!”

Lin Lie hugged a beauty, continuously pouring drinks for himself!

He really hadn’t thought too much, he just wanted to numb himself.

And just then!

Suddenly three men charged in and started slashing wildly at Lin Lie!

”Assassin!”

In an instant, Lin Lie was covered in sweat, his alcohol turning into sweat that streamed down his face!

Why was he encountering an assassin?!

Who had he provoked recently?!

But he had no time to think carefully about these things; after dodging two slashes with his wobbly legs, a third man struck him on the back, not a big wound, but blood was flowing!

”Ah!”

Lin Lie let out a terrible scream!

Alcohol and fear made him faint right away!

”Young Master Lin, Young Master Lin?”

Suddenly someone woke Lin Lie up: ”We’ve found out that those assassins just now came from Shimen!”

”Shimen!? Lu Xiaobu!?”

The words Lu Xiaobu and Shimen immediately popped into Lin Lie’s head!

Instantly, fueled by the stimuli of alcohol, rage burned through his resignation!

How dare Lu Xiaobu attempt to move against him!

He was going to kill Lu Xiaobu!

”Bring people! Let’s go!”

Filled with fury, Lin Lie stormed out of the bar, causing chaos everywhere he went!

And after he left.

The worried Housekeeper Jia emerged from an adjacent private room, sighed, and gave some money to a few people.

What Lin Lie had been drinking was tampered with to make someone easily angered and lose their rationality.

Of course, all the scenes just now were also a rehearsed script!

Housekeeper Jia sighed again; his mission was complete, and he could go home to await death!

But at that moment, someone came up to him and whispered, ”Go to Shimen!”

After saying that, the person disappeared into the crowd as if they had never been there.

However, Housekeeper Jia’s mind suddenly jolted, tears unbidden in his old eyes.

He knew, this must have been arranged by the Young Master!

One must know, at this moment, the Young Master should be trying to distance himself as much as possible, and yet, he still took the risk to have someone inform him of this!

At that instant, his heart was filled with emotion!

Moreover, for some reason, he also felt a hint of gratitude, not towards Lin Feng, but towards Lu Xiaobu.

After all, the former Young Master would definitely not have taken such a risk for his life.

Yet now, the Young Master had done so.

He was very clear in his heart that this was all due to the influence Young Master Bu had brought to Young Master Lin.

However, now was not the time for such thoughts.

He wiped his eyes, immediately left the bar, and since the Young Master had instructed him to go to Shimen, there must be a way!

...

Tonight was unusually serene, just like any normal night.

However, on the highway leading to Shimen from the Imperial city, there was a convoy speeding along!

With a murderous aura!

This was Lin Lie’s convoy!

They were off to kill, to seek revenge, to slay Lu Xiaobu!

...

And it wasn’t until the next day, when Lin Lie had already reached Shimen, that Lin Tianshen heard the news!

Instantly!

The always calm Lin Tianshen was enraged!

He immediately took out his phone and dialed Lin Lie’s number.

”Hello? Dad?”

Lin Lie’s voice was painful due to the drug, and it went through.

”What the hell are you doing?!”

Lin Tianshen’s roaring voice came through instantly!

”Ah?! What?!”

Shocked by Lin Tianshen’s roar, Lin Lie suddenly became alert and quickly looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings and at the people beside him and asked, ”Where are we?!”

”Young Master Lin, we’re in Shimen! Lu Xiaobu’s home is not far ahead, we’re almost there!” his subordinate replied.

”What are we doing here?!”

Lin Lie asked in bewilderment.

”To kill! Didn’t you say you wanted to kill Lu Xiaobu?!” Even the subordinate was taken aback, what’s going on with Young Master Lin?!

”To kill?!”

Lin Lie was even more confused!

”F*ck! Lin Lie! Now, you roll back here immediately!”

Lin Tianshen’s roar came through the phone!

”Yes! Yes! Yes!”

Lin Lie, without time to think further, quickly said to his subordinates: ”Quick, turn around, back to Imperial!”

He was extremely puzzled in his heart, how on earth did he end up in Shimen all muddled?

”But Young Master Lin, we’re almost out of gas! We need to refuel first!” a subordinate said with a troubled expression.

Serving a ruler is like living with a tiger!

Always on edge!

”Then go refuel!” Lin Lie dared not disobey his father’s orders.

”No! Right now, you go to our branch office, switch to a new car, and then come back!”

Lin Tianshen commanded, suppressing his anger.

”Yes!”

Lin Lie nodded hastily.

After that, Lin Tianshen hung up the phone.

Lin Tianshen picked up the teacup, wanting to drink, but he just couldn’t do it!

”Bang!”

The teacup worth a small fortune was furiously smashed by Lin Tianshen: ”Damn it!”

He was truly furious!

This Lin Lie was truly incompetent!

Shimen was still Lu Xiaobu’s territory!

Heading there now was like a sheep entering the tiger’s mouth!

If Lin Lie lost his life there, he would have lost a second potential heir!

At the same time, had Lu Xiaobu noticed something?!

Certainly!
