Prodigal System in the Flourishing City

Chapter 430: Chapter 428 Finally [1 Update]

Seeing the students of the literary club puzzled,

Teacher Liu smiled and explained to everyone: ”Do you still remember the ruthless couplets I once mentioned to you?”

”Yeah!”

Everyone nodded in response.

Ruthless couplets.

This is a form created by a noted master in the early years, but very few use it, as it’s a rather obscure form within obscurity!

”That’s good. This is actually a ruthless couplet.”

Teacher Liu Chen nodded in satisfaction and began to explain in detail:

”The tree has been felled halfway, no need to swing the axe further, indeed entirely unrelated.”

”Tree corresponds with fruit, both being nouns; a dot corresponds with thousand fathoms, both being units of measure, where ’fathom’ in ancient times was eight feet; dry corresponds with axe, both being names of tools, ’dry’— an ancient type of weapon.”

”So, although the upper and lower lines are neatly matched, the meanings are completely unrelated, true to what is called a ruthless couplet, where there is not the slightest connection in the artistic conception.”

”But the beauty of the couplet Mr. Lu produced lies in the fact that not only does it match the symmetry of the first line, but it also plainly writes out ’indeed entirely unrelated’.”

”In the realm of ruthless couplets, this is absolutely the pinnacle!”

Hearing Liu Chen’s explanation,

People gasped in amazement.

”Hiss!”

”Mr. Lu is immensely talented!”

”Who would have thought Mr. Lu knew about such an obscure couplet.”

”...”

”Alright, let’s go, I’m really tired.”

Lu Xiaobu yawned and said to the top female student, Zhang Shilin: ”Now you can go with me, right?”

”Okay, Teacher.”

The top female student immediately responded.

She had no particular attachments here, as she could come back anytime.

”Alright, let’s go.”

Lu Xiaobu revealed a content smile.

Finally, it was all settled.

Hahaha, exhilarating, now someone else will handle all the literary matters!

No longer having to do it all himself.

Damn it, he’d been squandering every day on literature, what a situation.

Watching Lu Xiaobu’s departing figure, the members of the literary club bowed with their hands folded in front: ”We wish Mr. Lu farewell.”

Yep, you probably noticed, under Liu Chen’s influence, these folks all had a bit of that ancient-style vibe.

Well, that kind of vibe, Lu Xiaobu actually quite liked.

He had a fondness for ancient-styled things.

Lu Xiaobu left.

Liu Chen sat by the brook, lost in thought.

After pondering for a long time, he suddenly stood up and made a phone call: ”Old Wen, I want to recommend someone for the Writers’ Association!”

...

With Zhang Shilin, he left the school: ”Oh right, I forgot to tell you about the compensation, ten thousand a month, tips are separate. No problem, right?”

”Thank you, Teacher, no problem.”

Zhang Shilin automatically regarded Lu Xiaobu as a teacher.

Lu Xiaobu didn’t correct her; just let it be, it was nice.

This identity made a good outward explanation too!

Now that he had the top female student, Lu Xiaobu immediately headed for Emperor Electric.

Arriving at the principal’s office,

Principal Li was fretting over how to discuss the lecture arrangement with Lu Xiaobu when he saw Lu Xiaobu actually arrived.

My goodness, Principal Li grabbed Lu Xiaobu’s arm in an instant.

If they didn’t know Principal Li wasn’t an outsider, Zhang Meng and Li Jin were probably about to take action!

”You promised me this! Xiaobu, you can’t go back on your word!”

Principal Li said with a slight plea: ”I’ve already boasted about it!”

”Here I am, aren’t I?”

Lu Xiaobu waved his hand: ”You arrange it, I’ll lecture today.”

”Today!?”

Principal Li looked bewildered.

No way, if you said you wouldn’t come, you wouldn’t, but upon arriving, why such a rush?!

How am I supposed to prepare in such short notice?

”Problem? Then forget it.”

Lu Xiaobu waved his hand.

”No! No problem at all! I’ll go prepare right now!”

Principal Li toughened up.

Damn it, whatever, however many can come will come, if worst comes to worst, record it and let those who can’t attend watch the replay.

”How long?”

Lu Xiaobu nodded with satisfaction.

”With such a tight schedule, our preparations for the speech environment...”

Principal Li found it somewhat hard to say.

After all, when has Lu Xiaobu not gone for a grand production, a big budget.

But now, with time so tight, at most they could only hang a banner, and forget about anything else.

”It’s okay, as long as it’s fast.”

Lu Xiaobu gestured with his hand, it wasn’t him speaking anyway.

Err, no, that’s not right, in such an urgent situation, whether it’s him speaking or not doesn’t matter.

”That’s good then.”

Principal Li stood up: ”You take a break first, I’ll go get ready, we’ll definitely get it done today!”

”All right.”

Lu Xiaobu nodded, showing his approval.

Principal Li was about to leave through the door, but before he did, he suddenly turned around to confirm once more: ”You’re really not going to suddenly leave, are you!”

”No!”

Lu Xiaobu answered seriously.

”Really not?”

”Really not.”

Principal Li checked over and over again before he left to make arrangements.

It can’t be helped, Lu Xiaobu’s pattern of not playing by the rules had become too serious.

If they finally organized the event and he stood them up, that would really be a disaster!

Principal Li left.

Lu Xiaobu, having nothing better to do, strolled towards the dormitory.

Only, he was actually stopped.

This is outrageous.

”Am I not a student of this school?”

Lu Xiaobu said ’angrily’.

”You are a student of this school.”

The dorm supervisor nodded in acknowledgment.

”So am I a bad person?”

”No!”

”Do I carry weapons?”

”No!”

”Then why on earth can’t I enter?!”

”Because this is the girls’ dormitory, gentlemen are not allowed!” the dorm supervisor roared: ”Are you done yet?!”

”Cough cough cough.” Lu Xiaobu coughed and turned to leave: ”Damn it, didn’t manage to sneak in.”

Zhang Shilin was almost going crazy.

Master oh master, with your two bodyguards, three big men in total, how did you think you could sneak in?

Let’s not lie so blatantly with eyes wide open, okay?

Since he couldn’t get into the girls’ dormitory, Lu Xiaobu headed for the Performance Department.

The ratio of girls in the Performance Department was high.

As for his major in the Directing Department, he definitely wouldn’t go there.

He hadn’t forgotten that there was a crazy old man there too.

So the Performance Department was the best choice, and besides, the Performance Department has physical form classes, that feeling, tsk tsk tsk!

Right, you know, those poses in the physical form classes are, in a sense, very enticing.

Thinking this, Lu Xiaobu continued his way towards the Performance Department.

”Teacher, may I go to the library?”

The female top student Zhang Shilin was really not accustomed to Lu Xiaobu’s current demeanor and could only say so euphemistically.

In her mind, a literary figure should be like Teacher Liu Chen.

But now, Teacher Lu Xiaobu, who had even impressed Teacher Liu Chen, was showing a thuggish behavior.

She really couldn’t accept it.

”Go ahead, mention my name if there’s any issue.”

Lu Xiaobu waved his hand and said.

It was better that Zhang Shilin didn’t follow him to prevent learning bad habits from him, otherwise, she would lose the temperament of a top student.

Lu Xiaobu arrived at the Performance Department.

Indeed, it was a physical form class, not bad!

Hehehe!

I won’t describe the specifics, you imagine!

Round, perky, big, small, cough cough cough!

However, Lu Xiaobu didn’t get to enjoy for long as Principal Li called, saying everything was ready.
