Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Chapter 186: Chapter 186: A Punch to the Head

Su Han’s face turned grim, and a surge of murderous intent rose in his heart. He hadn’t expected someone to beat him to it and snatch the Millennium Wood Crystal right from under his nose.

He looked up to see ripples spreading through space as two familiar figures emerged.

It was the Demon Race siblings from the Demon Slayer Sect!

Both were descendants of ancient evil crocodiles. Their black scale armor shone with a metallic luster, their limbs were tipped with strong, powerful claws, and their tails looked capable of shattering mountains. Their long, wide mouths were filled with sharp teeth that glinted with a cold light.

The Combat Power of these Demon Race siblings was formidable. They were not only powerhouses at the Ninth Layer of the Phenomenon Realm but also assassins from the Demon Slayer Sect. Their strength was no less than that of the star disciples of the Seven Stars Sect or the True Disciples of the Heavenly Demon Cult.

After seizing the Millennium Wood Crystal, the siblings had no intention of leaving just yet. Their primary mission, after all, was to kill Su Han.

The Millennium Wood Crystal in their possession was already worth far more than the bounty. However, since they had already run into Su Han, they certainly weren’t going to let him go. In their eyes, a cultivator at the mere Third Layer of the Phenomenon Realm was simply too weak. Why not kill two birds with one stone?

”Su Han, someone has placed a bounty on your life,” Crocodile Heavy said, casually tossing the Millennium Wood Crystal. He flashed a contemptuous sneer, clearly not taking Su Han seriously at all. ”Considering you helped me find this, I’ll give you a swift end if you surrender obediently.”

”Brother, that woman has such delicate skin and tender flesh! And she seems to have a Special Physique. She must be delicious. I want to eat her,” Crocodile Spirit said, ignoring Su Han completely. Her large eyes were fixed on Lu Yunxian. She loved eating humans, especially women, whose taste was sublime. Better still, Lu Yunxian possessed the Qingmu Spirit Body, making her a truly delectable feast in Crocodile Spirit’s eyes.

”Alright, alright. I’ll let you eat your fill later,” Crocodile Heavy promised, doting on his sister.

Hearing their conversation as if he weren’t even there, the cold glint in Su Han’s eyes intensified, and a tidal wave of killing intent surged through his heart. So what if they’re from the Demon Slayer Sect? Anyone who harms my Fairy Sister Yun Xian must die!

”Second Style: One Slash Thunder Clap!”

Wasting no time on words, Su Han executed the Character Technique of Motion and charged. He wielded the Black Blade, which crackled with condensed thunder. Faster than a bolt of lightning, his slash descended upon Crocodile Heavy. He was now wearing the Ghostly Face Mask, and his Aura climbed steadily, reaching the Sixth Layer of the Phenomenon Realm. This strike was further empowered by the Character Secret, doubling its might.

”You were offered a toast and refused, so now you’ll drink a forfeit!” Crocodile Heavy scoffed upon seeing Su Han take the initiative. Evil Qi erupted from his body as he lashed out with a claw.

”Earth Rank Low Level Martial Technique: Four Splits Claw!”

The Demon Race rarely used weapons, as their own Physical Body was the most powerful weapon of all. Crocodile Heavy’s claws were hard and sharp, no weaker than a Magic Artifact. At this moment, he gathered all his Evil Qi and struck. The very air seemed to shift, as if this single claw could tear the world asunder.

CLANG!

Blade and claw collided in a shower of sparks. A sharp, grating shriek of metal echoed through the air. Crocodile Heavy stumbled back three or four steps, but Su Han hadn’t moved an inch. The difference in power was clear.

How is this possible? Crocodile Heavy’s pupils constricted, his face a mask of disbelief. I’m at the Ninth Layer of the Phenomenon Realm! I’m from the Demon Race, with an incredibly strong Physical Body! How could I be at a disadvantage?

”Body Binding Technique!”

Su Han’s Divine Sense burst forth as he executed the Body Binding Technique. Instantly, Crocodile Heavy’s body stiffened as if frozen. Though his mind was clear, he couldn’t even move a finger. The technique would only hold him for a second or two, but for Su Han, that was more than enough.

He executed the Character Technique of Motion again, transforming into a streak of light and closing the distance to appear directly before Crocodile Heavy.

”Third Style: Thunderbolt’s Wrath!”

Gripping the Black Blade, Su Han swiftly unleashed the Thunderbolt Seven Absolute Slashes. The blade’s light flashed like lightning, tearing through space. With almost supernatural precision, it chopped down on Crocodile Heavy’s arm.

PFFT!

Blood sprayed as a crocodile claw was severed. Su Han snatched it out of the air. Of course, Su Han had no interest in a mere crocodile claw. He wanted the Millennium Wood Crystal clutched within it.

”Aaaagh! My arm! Damn you! You dare sever my arm?! I’ll flay you and rip out your tendons!” As the Body Binding Technique wore off, Crocodile Heavy let out a bloodcurdling scream of rage. His eyes turned crimson as he stared at Su Han, his Evil Qi surging uncontrollably. He had not only lost the Millennium Wood Crystal but also his left arm, leaving him gravely wounded.

”You dare injure my brother?! I’ll eat you!” Crocodile Spirit let out a ferocious roar, her body erupting with a world-shaking Evil Qi.

”Phenomenon: Ancestral Crocodile Manifestation!”

A Phenomenon materialized behind Crocodile Spirit. It was a prehistoric giant crocodile, its size comparable to a True Dragon. Its massive body blotted out the sun, looking as if one swipe of its claw could tear open the sky and one lash of its tail could shatter the cosmos. It was outrageously powerful.

At the same time, Crocodile Heavy also deployed his Phenomenon, which was also the Ancestral Crocodile Manifestation. They did not possess a Special Physique; as descendants of ancient evil crocodiles, their Acquired Phenomenon was related to their ancestry. Two prehistoric giant crocodiles materialized, brimming with ferocious Evil Qi, as if they sought to bring chaos to the world and slaughter all living things.

Unfortunately for them, deploying a Phenomenon in front of Su Han was like showing off an axe to a master craftsman. To make matters worse, theirs were merely Acquired Phenomena.

”Phenomenon: Dual Black Holes!”

Su Han activated his Sacred Body and deployed his Phenomenon. Instantly, the Dual Black Holes materialized. They were nine meters across, pitch-black and profound. Superimposed, they resembled a single demonic eye that could seize one’s soul and plunge it into an eternal abyss. A powerful suction force emanated from the Dual Black Holes, immediately suppressing the siblings’ Phenomena and beginning to absorb and devour them piece by piece.

”What kind of Phenomenon is this?” both Crocodile Heavy and Crocodile Spirit exclaimed, their expressions changing drastically as they felt their power being rapidly drained.

They didn’t dare hesitate, quickly retracting their Phenomena to prevent them from being completely devoured by Su Han. Without their Phenomena, their Combat Power was greatly diminished.

”Kill!” Crocodile Heavy roared, his body blazing with terrifying Evil Qi as he swiftly attacked with a powerful Earth Rank Martial Technique. Crocodile Spirit did the same on the other side.

Although she was the younger sister, Crocodile Spirit’s strength was in no way inferior to her brother’s. The combined assault of two powerhouses at the Ninth Layer of the Phenomenon Realm was terrifying. Furthermore, the two were assassins from the Demon Slayer Sect. Their killing intent was strong, their methods were numerous, and they were exceptionally vicious.

Unfortunately for them, in a contest of physical might, their demonic bodies couldn’t compare to Su Han’s Sacred Body. Their Phenomena were also inferior, and they were outmatched in terms of Cultivation Techniques and Martial Techniques. Their only advantages were their higher Realm and their numbers, but even that wasn’t enough to gain the upper hand.

”Earth Rank Low Level Martial Technique: Wood Grain Withering Technique!”

Just then, Lu Yunxian attacked with her full power once more. A streak of green light, fine as a silken thread, shot out amidst the chaotic three-way battle and precisely struck Crocodile Heavy. He had already been gravely wounded by Su Han’s earlier strike that severed his arm. Now, under the effect of the Wood Grain Withering Technique, his life force began to fade. His Physical Body shriveled, and his Aura plummeted.

”Body Binding Technique!”

Su Han swiftly cast the Body Binding Technique again, coordinating with the Wood Grain Withering Technique to immobilize Crocodile Heavy. He then used the Character Technique of Motion to bypass Crocodile Spirit and rapidly close in.

”Golden Emperor Tanyang Fist!”

He clenched his left fist and threw a punch with all his might. The Golden Fist Radiance flared like a miniature sun, carrying an unstoppable force that completely obliterated Crocodile Heavy’s head. One punch, and he was dead.
