Zhan Shen: It’s Just a Sacrifice, How Can I Become a Villain?

393: Horrible parasite!“Hmm?”

The sudden appearance of the Other Shore Flowers on the battlefield simultaneously attracted the attention of Michael and Odin.

Michael looked at the fiery flower patches with a puzzled expression, feeling a sense of dread, because he sensed the scent of Hell from the Other Shore Flowers.

However, this scent of Hell was different from the depravity and evil emanating from Lucifer, leaving Michael with an indescribable feeling.

As for Odin, he became agitated.

The one thing he could not accept right now was an unexpected turn of events, because unexpected events often developed in a bad direction.

“Who are you?” countless Odins asked simultaneously.

From within the sea of flowers, Song Zhong’s figure slowly emerged. He ignored Odin and instead glanced at Michael, saying,

“Michael, you look quite disheveled. Do you need my help?”

Michael let out a sigh of relief, a faint smile appearing on his pale face. “What price would I have to pay?”

“That’s something I’ll have to think about carefully.” With that, Song Zhong actually stood still and began to ponder.

Odin was thoroughly enraged by their disregard. “Are you treating me as if I don’t exist?”

The grating sound made Song Zhong frown. He glanced at the chunks of flesh floating in the air. “Has no one told you that interrupting others is impolite?”

“Politeness? In my Odin’s dictionary, the word ‘politeness’ has never existed,” Odin said furiously.

“In that case, let me make you disappear.”

Song Zhong’s calm reply was like pouring hot oil on Odin’s fury.

“Make me disappear? Hahaha, what big words. I hope your abilities are as great as your words.”

After Odin finished speaking, the chunks of flesh rushed towards Song Zhong, extending their sharp fangs and sticky tentacles to attack him.

A gust of wind suddenly swept through the flower patches around Song Zhong, blowing the petals of the Other Shore Flowers into the air.

The thread-like petals danced in the air, like spring rain, inadvertently falling onto the chunks of flesh.

Odin laughed loudly as he watched Song Zhong’s actions: “You don’t think these petals can withstand my attack, do you?”

Suddenly, Odin’s laughter came to an abrupt halt.

Because he discovered something: the petals that fell onto the Clone chunks of flesh actually took root and sprouted, burrowing into those chunks of flesh.

Every chunk of flesh was an Odin Clone, and the sensations of all the chunks of flesh were fed back to Odin’s main body.

The scattered petals were only more, not less, than the number of Clone chunks of flesh. In an instant, Odin felt as if thousands upon thousands of steel needles had pierced his heart.

But the terrifying thing did not stop there; he discovered that these strange petals could actually absorb his power.

“You… what did you do?” Odin’s tone had changed from anger to fear.

The chunks of flesh floating in the air, after being parasitized by these petals, actually began to shrink.

“You saw what I did. Just planting flowers, nothing special,” Song Zhong replied with a smile.

“Planting flowers? Why can you absorb my power?”

Odin became even more puzzled after hearing Song Zhong’s explanation. His body contained the power of Cthulhu. If these petals absorbed it, they should, logically, mutate into monsters. However, apart from a slight deepening of color, those petals showed no abnormal changes.

“This is the marvel of the Other Shore Flower. No matter how harsh the living environment, it can always find its own vitality,” Song Zhong said calmly.

Of course, Song Zhong did not explain the true reason to Odin. The Other Shore Flowers were not affected by Cthulhu’s power because they all contained the power of the Divine Kingdom Origin within them.

And Song Zhong’s Divine Kingdom Origin was based on national destiny, essentially the power of the Fifth Universe’s will, so it could naturally contend with Cthulhu’s power.

“Impossible… impossible…”

In just a few short minutes, Odin already felt that half of the power within him had been absorbed by these Other Shore Flowers.

In his desperation, Odin once again split off a large number of flesh chunks, attempting to escape the parasitism of these plants.

However, as soon as new chunks of flesh split off, countless petals immediately attached themselves to them.

The Other Shore Flowers seemed to proliferate, growing wildly across this battlefield.

The chunks of flesh in the air had lost their ability to float and fell to the ground one after another.

Odin’s main body was also covered in vibrant red Other Shore Flowers. His skin became dry and rough, and his limbs lay weakly on the ground. Aside from breathing, he didn’t even have the strength to sit up.

“Why… why is this happening?”

Odin lay on the ground. He didn’t understand why, despite having obtained Cthulhu’s extraordinary power, this was the outcome.

Song Zhong stepped over the Other Shore Flowers and walked to his side, slowly saying,

“Want to know why? Speaking of which, I should thank you. If you hadn’t turned yourself into so many Clones, my parasitic Move might not have been so effective.”

It turned out that while Odin transforming into a Clone form made him difficult to eliminate, it also distributed his power.

If Odin had remained as one entity, this parasitic method might have caused him trouble, but the efficiency of absorbing power would definitely have greatly decreased.

But Odin couldn’t be blamed for this; who could have imagined that Song Zhong had such a Move?

Odin gave a bitter smile, “Is that how it is? It seems I lost to myself.”

“It seems you’re quite good at self-comfort,” Song Zhong said with a sarcastic tone, full of Yin and Yang.

“Heh heh…” Whether it was a Return Light or not, Odin’s eyes actually brightened. “Do you think this can kill me?”

Michael approached Odin with a grim expression. “On the verge of death, are you still trying to play such alarmist tricks?”

Odin smiled and shook his head. “You can only kill my physical body. My will shall survive in other ways, hahahaha…”

“I think you’ve truly gone mad!” With that, Michael raised the Holy Sword in his hand and thrust it fiercely into Odin’s body.

Pfft!

The massive Holy Sword pierced through Odin’s body. Under the combined effect of the Holy Sword and the Other Shore Flowers, Odin’s body slowly began to turn into dust.

Odin’s expression suddenly became hysterical. He disregarded his body turning to dust and, with his last ounce of strength, roared loudly:

“My will shall never perish, never… Hahahaha, Michael, we will meet again. Remember what I said…”

Michael pulled out the Holy Sword, then swung it horizontally, directly smashing Odin’s head into a pulp.

“This utter madman.”

Song Zhong stared at Odin’s corpse, a serious expression on his face. For some reason, he felt that Odin’s last words were not a lie.

…

In the endless abyss of the Sea of Mist, Loki was exploring the seabed. His feeling grew stronger and stronger; the Black Goat was definitely nearby.

Suddenly, Loki’s head began to throb with intense pain. This excruciating agony made him involuntarily clutch his head and collapse to his knees on the seabed…
