Zhan Shen: It’s Just a Sacrifice, How Can I Become a Villain?

179: Yue Huai’s revenge plan“Preposterous, preposterous!” In the vast, dilapidated church, Qian Mo cursed loudly.

“What is Song Zhong anyway, Lord Yue Huai? Did you see his arrogant demeanor? He’s even clamoring to establish a New Ancient God Church. I think he just wants to usurp power, usurp power!”

Yue Huai sat on the throne, seemingly oblivious to Qian Mo’s roar.

“Lord Yue Huai, if he dares to establish his own faction today, he’ll dare to come knocking tomorrow. In my opinion, we should strike first and make plans early. While he hasn’t grown powerful yet, we should eliminate him directly.”

“If he grows stronger, it will be troublesome.”

Qian Mo spoke voluminously, saying a great deal, hoping to make Yue Huai make up his mind sooner.

After a long silence, Yue Huai closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair.

Qian Mo was somewhat surprised. At this moment, he seemed to see a hint of senility in Yue Huai, something that had never happened before.

No matter how old Yue Huai’s appearance became, he always gave people a profound and unfathomable feeling. But now, he actually resembled an old man sunbathing in a park.

“You’re right. I never thought that after hunting geese all my life, I’d have my eyes pecked out by a goose.”

Yue Huai’s current mood was one of regret, deep regret.

He should have realized from the beginning that a lunatic like Song Zhong would cause trouble no matter which organization he joined.

He had originally intended to use Song Zhong’s troublemaking abilities to teach the Night Watcher a lesson, but he didn’t expect that after Song Zhong robbed the Zhaijie Institute, he would come back and teach him a lesson as well.

He had only been back for a few days, and he had already split the Ancient God Church.

Although the group Song Zhong took away were basically prisoners abducted from the Zhaijie Institute, this force should not be underestimated.

Especially the eyes of those prisoners, filled with fanaticism for Song Zhong. That fanaticism was like his own faith in the Great God Brahma of World Destruction.

If such a group of vicious individuals had fanatical faith in Song Zhong, they would be a very troublesome force.

Just as Qian Mo said, if Song Zhong was not eliminated now, there would be no chance later.

But how to eliminate Song Zhong was a problem. Should he personally take action?

That was impossible. What if that kid still had the ability to rival a Deity?

Rival a Deity, rival a Deity?

Yue Huai suddenly had an idea. “Qian Mo, that kid Song Zhong said he was going to find the remaining followers of Whisper, right?”

Qian Mo nodded. “Yes, but the remaining followers of Whisper are all under our control. They just transported the altar back from outside the mist.”

“So, those few people are all in Anta County in northern Great Xia?” Yue Huai asked.

“That’s right, but one person isn’t there, and that’s the Ninth Seat, He Lin. He has already returned to southern Great Xia.”

Qian Mo seemed to guess what Yue Huai wanted to do, so he tentatively asked:

“Lord Yue Huai, do you intend to activate the altar and use the Egyptian Gods to eliminate Song Zhong?”

Yue Huai nodded.

“This… wouldn’t that be making a mountain out of a molehill? We have two altars,” Qian Mo said.

“Even a Lion uses its full strength when hunting a rabbit. What we seek is a single, fatal blow, leaving absolutely no future trouble.” Yue Huai had made up his mind; this time, he would definitely kill Song Zhong.

“That’s good too, being cautious is always better.” Hearing Yue Huai’s strong resolve, Qian Mo’s heart bloomed with joy. His hatred for Song Zhong was even deeper than Yue Huai’s, and he wished the kid would die sooner.

“However, Lord Yue Huai, if we activate both altars, our prepared sacrifices seem insufficient.” Qian Mo estimated, “Even if the remaining few followers continuously focus their Mental Energy day and night, they can only activate one altar.”

“That’s just the conventional sacrificial method. Time is pressing now, so we’ll have to ask those few followers to sacrifice themselves.” There was no trace of pity in Yue Huai’s tone, as if those few followers were merely commodities.

“You mean blood sacrifice?” Qian Mo gasped, “If that’s the case, we’ll lose a lot of capable individuals.”

“As long as we can kill Song Zhong, everything is worth it,” Yue Huai said.

“I understand. The Egyptian Gods, there shouldn’t be a problem, right? If they refuse to respond to the altar’s summons, that would be troublesome,” Qian Mo expressed his last concern.

“Don’t worry! Do you think I’ve just been touring Great Xia all these years?” Yue Huai suddenly laughed, a chilling laugh. “After all these years, I can now confirm that Great Xia’s Fengdu Ghost City is located in that uninhabited area of Anta County.”

“What?” Even though Qian Mo was a venerable Ancient God, he was greatly astonished to hear this news. “Fengdu Ghost City? Isn’t that the place formed by the Origin Law of Great Xia’s Fengdu Great Emperor?”

“That’s right. After the Great Xia Gods fell into Reincarnation, the Netherworld Gods of other systems all set their sights on Fengdu Ghost City. However, that Fengdu Great Emperor was very cunning; he secretly hid several portions of his Origin, causing the true Fengdu Ghost City to remain in Great Xia.”

Yue Huai was confident. “Qian Mo, what do you think the Egyptian God of the Netherworld, Osiris, will react like when he learns this news?”

“This… He will definitely come to Great Xia to compete for this Origin Power. It seems he previously seized a portion of Fengdu Great Emperor’s Origin.”

“Exactly!” Yue Huai said with a smile. “It’s precisely because he has already tasted the beauty of that power that he will absolutely be unable to resist this temptation. He will definitely descend.”

“Then how do we lure Song Zhong to Anta County?” Qian Mo asked.

Yue Huai glanced at Qian Mo. “You’re such a blockhead. Didn’t Song Zhong say he was going to recruit the followers left by Whisper?”

“Oh! I get it!” Qian Mo suddenly realized, “Those followers are all in Anta County. As long as we let Song Zhong know this news, he will definitely rush over.”

“That’s right, you’re finally catching on.”

“Lord Yue Huai, let me handle this matter. I’ll have He Lin tell Song Zhong this news.”

“Hmm, go ahead,” Yue Huai said.

Qian Mo was already a bit impatient at this point. What if Song Zhong could slay a Deity? Osiris was not like those foreign Deities who came to Cangnan before; his state and strength were not comparable to those illegal immigrants and Clones.

He turned and left, disappearing into the dilapidated temple.

In the empty, dilapidated temple, only Yue Huai remained.

Yue Huai looked to the side, and with a gentle wave of his hand, Song Zhong’s throne instantly turned into dust, scattered by the wind.

He let out a long, heavy breath and said fiercely, “Song Zhong, you little brat love to cause trouble, don’t you? This time, I will reclaim everything I’ve lost.”

“Hahahahaha…”

In the vast temple, Yue Huai’s crazy laughter echoed. Song Zhong’s life began its countdown.
