I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

Nightfall descended.

Retab Collin, his expression filled with worry, wanted to say something, opening his mouth several times only to stop abruptly at the opportune moment.

In the end, he still said nothing, only letting out a deep sigh.

Shaking his head helplessly, Retab Collin turned and walked away, heading towards the direction of his castle.

”The bounty hunter guild in the Beastkin Star Domain was another organization founded by the Chief.”

”Those Interstellar Hunters wanted by the Federation, when they have nowhere else to go, all choose to go there.”

”When you advance to Legendary and need to apply for a special pardon, remember to contact me...”

”And, Loren, the aura about you is becoming more and more dangerous.”

”That’s not necessarily a good thing.”

”Of course, it’s not necessarily a bad thing either...”As Retab Collin’s figure gradually receded into the distance, the night breeze carried his soft murmurs, his instructions and care for this junior, Loren.

Loren watched Retab Collin’s retreating back, saying nothing.

He simply stood silently in place, lightly lifting his hat in a gesture of farewell.

At this moment.

Deep within Loren’s mind, Raven, who had fully understood the entire course of events, also silently complained in his heart.

The one good thing the idiot master did got him wanted, the Federation really is doomed...

After watching Retab Collin’s figure disappear around the corner, Loren directly turned and walked into the deserted alley behind him.

A short while later.

A curly-haired young man wearing thick glasses walked out of that alley.

The young man’s figure was somewhat thin and frail, and the aura he carried naturally had a kind of clear, unworldly quality.

Clearly, Loren’s new disguise was that of a young man who had just completed the Federation’s higher education.

Simple, harmless, and naive.

The curly-haired young man with glasses, after exiting the alley, swiftly departed along the shadows at the edge of the street...

-------

Federal Calendar 7708, December 1st, nighttime.

Outside a large-scale material transfer center in the Radiant Flow Star Domain.

A curly-haired young man wearing thick glasses took out his portable computer from his chest and dialed a number.

Unlike before, this time, Loren waited for a long time before the communication was connected.

”Hello? It’s me.” Loren used his original voice, not the youthful voice of his disguise.

Ever since being misunderstood during his last female disguise, Loren had learned to switch back to his own voice while in disguise.

”Mr. Loren? It’s me, Hans.”

At this moment, a familiar voice that somewhat surprised Loren came from the portable computer in his hand.

”Hans, why is it you? Did something happen?” Loren asked, puzzled.

Logically, the person answering his call shouldn’t be Hans...

”Due to some... incidents, the family’s recent smuggling operations have been largely halted.”

”Let’s meet and talk. Where do you want to go? I’ll take you.” Hans’s somewhat weary voice came through the portable computer.

”Alright, where shall we meet?” Loren asked.

”The place... where we parted last time...” Hans replied meaningfully.

After ending the communication, Loren looked at the portable computer in his hand, a mysterious smile appearing on his face.

His intuition told him that the lie he had spun on the forum last time, tricking the Security Bureau into targeting the Ferros Family, had already taken effect...

Smiling, Loren put away his portable computer, his figure once again disappearing along the shadows at the street’s edge.

And this time, his direction of travel was towards the vast nature reserve outside the Radiant Flow Main City.

The last place Loren and Hans had parted was precisely within that remote, rarely visited nature reserve outside the main city.

5 minutes later.

Loren’s figure had quietly left the main city of the Radiant Flow Star Domain and stepped into the silent natural forest outside the city.

Since large-scale material transfer centers were all built on the outskirts of the main city, Loren quickly reached the nature reserve adjacent to the Radiant Flow Main City.

Within the dark, damp jungle, a somewhat thin and frail figure was moving at incredible speed, so fast it became a blur...

The bright moonlight from the night sky was also blocked by the dense canopy.

Only when the night wind rustled the treetops would some sparse, scattered moonlight sprinkle down.

Not long after entering the natural forest, Loren’s footsteps suddenly stopped.

The portable computer in his chest rang again!

Stopping his hurried pace, Loren pulled out the portable computer from his chest, instinctively frowning.

The screen displayed an unknown number—no digits, entirely composed of special symbols.

It was an anonymous number!

Loren thought for a moment before answering the call.

”Hello? Who is this?”

”It’s me, Vic.”

From the portable computer came another voice that surprised Loren.

The person in charge of the Security Bureau in the Radiant Flow Star Domain was actually calling Loren at this sensitive time...

”Oh? Agent Vic, are you here to arrest me?” Loren’s voice held a playful note.

”Quite the opposite. I just wanted to tell you that the portable computer in your hand isn’t as secure as you might think. Don’t answer unknown calls; you’ll be tracked.”

”If you don’t want to be harassed, you’d better violently destroy it after this call and find an opportunity to get a new one later.”

”The communication number for this portable computer of yours is clearly on record with both the Radiant Flow Star Domain Security Bureau and the Jadeite Star Domain Security Bureau...”

Agent Vic’s voice remained as calm and unemotional as ever, as if Loren’s actions had nothing to do with him.

Hearing this, Loren, standing in the dark forest, shrugged.

”Your behavior is rather suspicious too, Agent Vic.”

”These don’t seem like words someone of your position and stance should be saying...”

Then, the portable computer in Loren’s hand fell silent for a moment.

”The Security Bureau is large, with many factions. The five Legendary Agents you killed were from the New Faction. Their methods are... more violent.”

Agent Vic’s voice remained flat and unemotional, calmly explaining to Loren.

After listening to the other’s explanation, Loren silently pulled out the Federation Coin from his chest, tossed it into the air, and simultaneously thought to himself:

”Is what the other person saying true? If yes, heads!”

The coin fell, heads!

The other person was telling the truth!

Loren put away the Federation Coin in his hand and let out a light, mocking laugh:

”Does this mean that when I apply for a special pardon in the future, it won’t be as difficult as I imagined?”

The other person sighed.

”It’s not that simple. The Security Bureau and the Liberal Party are currently in a honeymoon period.”

”Scott Jovi, that candidate for the House of Representatives who died—that was your doing too, right?”

”Your special pardon might be harder than you think.”

”Our Old Faction agents are somewhat weaker compared to those New Faction ones...”

”And, because there were quite a few surviving witnesses this time, your wanted notice has already been passed down through legal procedures under the New Faction’s maneuvering...”

”60 billion Federation coins, dead or alive.”

”And that’s considering your status as a God’s Favored One of the Nature Sect...”

”And the amount they offered after our Old Faction’s maneuvering on your behalf...”
