Rebirth before Apocalypse: My Whole Family are Bigshots!

Chapter 356: Chapter 356: We Need a Pretty Girl

”Bai Yifan, drive, head this way!”

Bai Anhai looked at Wang Yiyun, whose face was full of vigor, and gave a gentle smile, reclining back in the passenger seat.

His wife was always a whirlwind of energy, truly remarkable!

”Got it!”

Bai Yifan sharply twisted the steering wheel, and the bus lurched into a turn, speeding in the direction the girls were kidnapped.

In the apocalypse, the last thing you should have is compassion.

But if it’s within your capability to do something that makes you feel good, why not?

Especially when this time the orders came from mom and grandma, Bai Yifan definitely wouldn’t dare refuse.

Afraid he’d get beaten to death.

He couldn’t quite understand why they’d abandon these girls, who were obviously so strong and pretty, at that village.

Girls, they’re girls!

Girls are mighty fairies!

Bai Yifan shook his head, avoiding these thoughts as he kept the pedal pressed, speeding madly in a direction.

Now and then, black blood splattered on the front windshield.

The thumping collisions became increasingly frequent.

There were more and more zombies ahead.

For the Bai Family, they were almost too lazy to deal with regular zombies, too weak.

They’d only bother when encountering High Rank zombies, still barely managing to improve their combat skills.

Bai Yifan looked at the distorted faces of the regular zombies on the windshield, unable to keep his legs from shaking.

Whether it was regular or High Rank zombies, to Bai Yifan they’re all the same.

He was scared of them all!

The Bai Family easily passed through what was a zombie-infested area for the villagers.

Just now, there was a farm market, more zombies, but after passing, the number of zombies on the road returned to normal levels.

The Bai Family only knew the general direction, not the exact location, fortunately, there were fierce beasts in the space that could help track scents.

After covering some distance, Bai Xiqin released Qin Yuan from the space.

”Master, I’ve missed you!”

As soon as Qin Yuan appeared, it happily bounced on Bai Xiqin’s shoulder.

Feeling extremely pleased.

Just guessing made it sure, when it vanished from space, the other two must’ve been jealous.

Indeed, it’s the most favored child.

”Help find the route.” Bai Xiqin reached out and patted Qin Yuan’s bee-like head, putting it out the window, ”It was a group of girls, probably traveled this road yesterday.”

”Got it!”

Qin Yuan flapped its wings energetically, then quickly twitched its nose, sniffing the lingering scents in the air.

Quite easy to find, no one runs back and forth on the road amidst zombies in the apocalypse.

Yesterday, only one vehicle passed this way.

”Master, over there!”

Qin Yuan cheerily hovered above the windshield, leading the way.

Qin Yuan flew high, perfectly out of reach of the bus’s impact.

Without pausing, they quickly arrived at a small town.

Before entering the town, a dense odor of rot hit them.

Qin Yuan suddenly staggered mid-air, nearly sent away by the foul scent!

From afar, the whole town was pitch black, the ground covered in dark blood, rotten zombie corpses strewn carelessly.

Decomposed bodies were incomplete, chopped into chunks.

The bus stopped at the town’s edge, Bai Yifan was reluctant to drive in.

The black blood everywhere would mess up the vehicle.

”Master, those people must’ve gone into the town, the scent inside is too strong, I can’t smell clearly,” Qin Yuan awkwardly rubbed Bai Xiqin’s finger.

The sharper the nose, the more distressing the rot smell.

”You did well, thank you!”

Bai Xiqin nodded at Qin Yuan’s little head, then sent the suffocating Qin Yuan back into the space.

The Bai Family rolled up the windows, diminishing the rancid smell significantly.

They leaned against the windows, peering towards the town.

The whole town was silent; all they could see beyond dark blood and decayed limbs was not a thing more.

Not only on the ground, but also on the walls and even rooftops, black blood was smeared, clearly deliberately applied.

”Sis, what’s going on here?”

Bai Yifan swallowed hard, eyeing the blood on the rooftops.

This town was stunning.

More zombie-like than Zombie Village.

Brother Zhang would shed tears upon seeing!

”They smeared zombie blood on the walls to mask their scent; there aren’t any zombies in the town because the zombies outside can’t smell the people inside, preventing them from breaking in,” Bai Xiqin continued as she eyed the pitch-dark town.

”But this method has downsides; constantly smelling zombie blood can make people irritable, and with so much zombie virus around, a slight mishap could turn someone into a zombie. If it rains, their efforts would be in vain, needing reapplication, quite a workload.”

Smeared zombie blood around not only reduces zombies but can confuse some mutant animals.

Though seemingly safe, living surrounded by zombie blood isn’t really a great measure.

The air reeks of dark, bloody scent, truly hard to bear.

Risk turning into a zombie, hardly worth it.

”So, how do we find them?”

Bai Yifan scratched his head, looking at the pitch-black town.

This scent truly unbeatable, the rot smell overwhelming him, yet without entry, he felt like vomiting already.

Zombie blood stinks of decay, already unbearable.

And the black blood smeared on the town looked almost dried up, indicating it had been applied for some time.

In such hot weather, the stench was unimaginable.

Vaguely, Bai Yifan could spot white, fat little creatures squirming on discarded, rotting limbs.

Bai Yifan had no desire to go in.

”There’s no choice; we won’t find them without going in, but...”

Bai Xiqin elongated her words, gazing at Bai Yifan’s delicate face, suddenly sparked with a perfect idea.

”But what?” Bai Yifan tugged at Bai Xiqin, ”How can we catch those scoundrels and rescue the girls without going in?”

”Easy!” Bai Xiqin flicked her bangs, ”We need a beautiful girl; she just has to wander near the town, someone will definitely try to snatch her. Once they appear, we can capture them immediately and torture them until they give up the girls!”

”Isn’t that bad?” Bai Yifan glanced at Bai Xiqin, hesitating, ”Can you really lure them?”

Ahem, it’s not that he thought his sister unattractive, just that she was even more domineering than abductors, who really knows who’s the prey!

What if the abductors fled in terror upon seeing sis?

”You think you’re prettier than me?”

Bai Xiqin reached out, giving Bai Yifan’s shoulder a few strong pats, a profound smile on her face.
