Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1753: Chapter 1066: Development of Spirit Source Land (Part 2)

Yang Chengmao, after listening to Jiang He’s words, thought for a moment and said, ”Flying vessel manufacturing and puppet manufacturing are our top priorities for the next phase.”

”At present, what we’re most lacking isn’t materials, but manpower!”

”Whether it’s flying vessels or puppets, they both require a large number of artifact refiners and craftsmen. All the artifact refiners and craftsmen we can currently utilize are already on assignments, and we can’t allocate more manpower in the short term!”

”However, I’ve already instructed Jingxuan Hall and Phecda Tower to focus on training artifact refiners and craftsmen. Within the next three to five years, we could train over five thousand apprentices, which should double the production capacity of the flying vessels!”

This is the strength of the Spirit Source Land—a complete educational system, capable of cultivating whatever type of talent is needed.

Although high-grade talents can’t be cultivated in a short period, for low-grade apprentices, we can produce as many as we need, given a little time.

Jiang He contemplated and said, ”As for puppets, we haven’t yet formed an industry or established commercial channels. Should we take it slow in this area?”

Yang Chengmao shook his head, ”The ancestor has already said we need to form a puppet army, and Zongyuan has already recruited over a hundred puppet apprentices. We must establish a puppet manufacturing factory for Zongyuan!”

”Commercial issues can be set aside for now, but the manufacturing issue must be addressed promptly!”

For the Spirit Source Land, puppet manufacturing is a new industry. Although there have been studies and production in the past, they were on a very small scale, hardly worth mentioning.

Only Yang Zongyuan used to fiddle with them in his spare time.

But now that Yang Zhenshan has stated the intent to build a puppet army, the puppet manufacturing industry must expand.

However, the scale of an industry requires profit to support it. Without adequate profit, it becomes a bottomless pit, consuming massive amounts of resources.

To develop the puppet industry in Spirit Source Land, Tianquan Tower must find ways to gain profits from the puppet industry, ensuring its healthy development.

An industry that only spends without earning can’t develop.

Though Spirit Source Land isn’t lacking in spirit stones now, this doesn’t mean it can waste them carelessly.

When it comes to expenditure issues, Lin Zhan had something to say.

”The profits from puppet manufacturing must be considered—Taiwei Tower has already formulated new exchange rules for the Merit Hall, with exchange prices almost halved. Therefore, Merit Hall’s expenditure may double in the coming days.”

”Although Merit Hall currently has substantial inventory, I estimate it can only sustain for three more years. Afterward, we’ll have to supply plenty of resources to Merit Hall.”

Resource exchange for merit is the largest expenditure in Spirit Source Land, accounting for one-third of its fiscal revenue. The resources include second-order and third-order spiritual objects, many of which can’t be valued with low-grade spirit stones.

As per Yang Zhenshan’s requirements, Taiwei Tower lowered the exchange prices for merit, which implies future expenditures for Merit Hall will likely double.

This might cause Spirit Source Land to run a deficit.

Yang Chengmao was mentally prepared for this and was unconcerned, stating, ”This isn’t an issue. We have ample reserves to handle the upcoming fiscal demands!”

”Don’t forget, many of our discovered mineral veins remain untapped. At worst, we can mine more!”

That’s what you call confidence!

This is confidence!

Though Spirit Source Land’s assets aren’t abundant, it’s vast and has extensive blessed lands and many mineral veins.

In the past, when resources were plentiful, these veins were kept in reserve. But if Spirit Source Land were to run a deficit, these veins could promptly fill the resource gap.

Lin Zhan and Jiang He both nodded, aware of these facts, and naturally unworried.

Afterward, the three discussed the development of the puppet industry, after which Lin Zhan and Jiang He left.

As soon as they left, Yang Mingcheng arrived at Yang Chengmao’s study.

”Uncle!”

Yang Chengmao quickly stood up.

”Hmm, I need to close up for a breakthrough, and I require resources from your end!” Yang Mingcheng chuckled.

Yang Chengmao’s eyes brightened, ”Uncle is prepared?”

”Almost, everything needed is ready,” Yang Mingcheng replied.

Yang Chengmao took out a token and said, ”Nephew wishes Uncle further progress in cultivation.”

”Haha~~” Yang Mingcheng laughed heartily and took the token.

Yang Chengmao smiled, ”Everything’s ready, Uncle can go directly to Taiwei Tower to retrieve them!”

Yang Mingcheng, set for a breakthrough to the Divine Soul Realm, would likely need many spiritual objects to assist, with Taiwei Tower primarily responsible for providing assisting spiritual objects for breakthroughs.

Previously, Taiwei Tower only handled spiritual objects needed for breakthroughs in the Golden Body Realm and Foundation Establishment Stage, but now it covers Divine Soul Realm breakthroughs too.

The spiritual objects from Taiwei Tower aren’t free, they’re half sold and half gifted, requiring some merit deduction.

This arrangement ensures those undergoing breakthroughs receive high-quality spiritual objects, preventing inadequate self-prepared ones.

Moreover, Taiwei Tower guarantees safety for the one breaking through, preparing environments and protectors during the process.

Simply put, Taiwei Tower provides the best spiritual objects, environment, guardian choices, and comprehensive readiness, ensuring a safe and worry-free breakthrough.

For breakthroughs, Spirit Source Land is very cautious—failure could be fatal.

”Alright, I’ll head to Taiwei Tower first!”

With the token, Yang Mingcheng went to Taiwei Tower.

He soon acquired the spiritual objects, then proceeded to the Immortal Palace, as Taiwei Tower designated a pavilion in the Immortal Palace for his retreat.

Yu Qingyi and Ding Qiu were his protectors.

Before his retreat, Yang Zhenshan even checked on him, providing guidance.

Yang Mingcheng began his retreat for breakthrough, Yang Zhenshan continued alchemy, and Spirit Source Land smoothly expanded flying vessel and puppet manufacturing while also initiating population migration.

Youth from the Da’an Dynasty and Dajing Dynasty arrived at Divine Wood Island, passed through its pocket world gate into Spirit Source Land, and settled under its arrangements in Longevity City, Changqing City, Changming City, and Changyao City.

The migration of three million people wouldn’t complete in a day or two, but this wouldn’t cause much trouble for Spirit Source Land.

With a complete management system, Spirit Source Land is well-equipped for such large-scale migrations.

As more people moved into the four cities, previously quiet places suddenly bustled with activity.

Spirit Source Land proceeded in an orderly fashion while the war between the Unpredictable Ghost Sect and Wanhua Demon Court entered a new phase.

Inside the Cloud Mist Array.

An Wusheng and Yu Yuan, looking at the powerful demon beasts near the Blood Pool, had faint smiles on their faces.

”Hall Master, eight Demon Kings have been refined. Shall we give the Qingyuan Fox Clan a show?” Yu Yuan smiled cheerfully, as if envisioning the scene of these Demon King Yin Soldiers charging into Qingyuan Cave Heaven.

Recently, their war with Wanhua Demon Court had been frustrating, with developments below expectations.

Initially, they believed thirty thousand ghost soldiers and one hundred thousand blood puppets would suppress Wanhua Demon Court, but it resulted in a prolonged war of attrition.

The most infuriating part was someone stealing their blood jade, delaying the refinement of Demon King Yin Soldiers by three years.

Otherwise, they might have already breached Qingyuan Cave Heaven.

”No rush; our primary task isn’t defeating the Qingyuan Fox Clan but establishing the Yinsha Ghost Domain!”

An Wusheng gently shook his head, saying, ”We have only completed less than two thousand of the planned eighteen thousand White Bone Pillars. At least thirty-six hundred must be completed before confronting the Qingyuan Fox Clan!”
