Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1752: Chapter 1066: The Development of Spirit Source Land

Yang Zhenshan and Zhongli Xiayi did not talk for long. Zhongli Xiayi had just completed her Core Formation and needed to stabilize her cultivation; moreover, many people had come to offer their congratulations. Naturally, as a newly minted Golden Core Cultivator, she needed to entertain the arriving guests.

So after a brief conversation, Yang Zhenshan presented two gifts and took his leave.

The two gifts—one from the Sky Cloud Sword Sect and one from Yang Zhenshan himself—were both Elixirs crafted by him.

Leaving Taoyuan Mountain and returning to the Life Realm Immortal Palace, Yang Zhenshan continued to immerse himself in cultivation and Alchemy.

The war persisted, and the prices of all sorts of resources continued to soar. From Qingli Immortal City to True Yang Immortal City, from the lowest First-order Spirit Fruits and Spiritual Medicine to Third-tier Elixirs and various Spiritual Objects, prices had at least doubled.

Third-tier Elixirs and Spiritual Objects were easier to handle. These were mostly traded directly or bought with top-grade Spirit Stones, lacking a precise price, but merchandise in the market was increasingly scarce.

As for First-order and Second-Order Spiritual Objects, they had price metrics. For example, the Foundation Establishment Pill, previously priced below a hundred thousand, was now difficult to purchase even at two hundred thousand Low-grade Spirit Stones.

The more tense the war situation became, the higher the prices of various resources rose, leading to increasingly active commerce in the Spirit Source Land.

A large amount of goods was shipped from the Spirit Source Land, first stored in warehouses in the Ancient Relic Array, and then transported by Flying Boat to various places in the Wanhua Western Region.

The Sea of Spirit remained one of the most important trading hubs for goods exported from the Spirit Source Land. It wasn’t that the market there was large, but the Sea of Spirit had become a distribution center for the Spirit Source Land’s goods.

Many agents from the Spirit Source Land would purchase various materials from Wuxiang City in the Sea of Spirit, then sell them to the Wanlin Mountain Range, the Southern Wilderness, etc.

Besides the Sea of Spirit, the Spirit Source Land conducted business only with Qingli Immortal City and True Yang Immortal City.

Flying Boats launched from the Ancient Relic Array towards the Sea of Spirit, Qingli Immortal City, and True Yang Immortal City, then returned from these three places, bringing back a large amount of Spirit Stones and various raw materials and Spiritual Objects.

With planting, processing, manufacturing, sales, and procurement, the Spirit Source Land had long formed a complete business operation procedure.

Under such a business system, the Spirit Source Land functioned like a Taotie, greedily devouring resources and Spirit Stones from various forces.

Ziwei Tower, top-floor study.

Lin Zhan and Jiang He sat in front of Yang Chengmao, reporting the financial income of the Spirit Source Land over the past year.

Jiang He, as the head of Tianquan Tower, managed all commercial affairs of the Spirit Source Land. Although many business matters now required the guidance of Immortal Cultivators, the final accounts had to be aggregated in Tianquan Tower.

”Last year, Tianquan Tower’s total profit was 830 million Low-grade Spirit Stones, with the most profitable industry being Elixirs. We sold a total of 3.63 million Elixirs, making a profit of 330 million Low-grade Spirit Stones!”

”Next was the talisman industry, with a profit of 180 million Low-grade Spirit Stones; the Magic Artifact industry made 120 million, while the Spirit Plant industry earned 90 million.”

”The fastest-growing industry was the Flying Boat industry. Last year, we sold one large Flying Boat, twelve medium Flying Boats, totaling a profit of 13.4 million Low-grade Spirit Stones.”

”Currently, there is great market demand for Flying Boats, especially medium ones. Our orders are backlogged for ten years!”

”In the Flying Boat sector, our production capacity is far from sufficient!”

Jiang He recounted calmly and deliberately.

The Flying Boat industry, a burgeoning sector in the Spirit Source Land, currently seemed to have lower profits—nothing like those in the Elixir and Magic Artifact sectors.

However, the Flying Boat industry is a high-tech sector with significant added value in its technology.

The profit margin far surpasses that of ordinary Magic Artifacts and Magical Treasures.

Most importantly, competition in the Flying Boat sector is more moderate than in other industries.

Small Flying Boats count as Magic Artifacts, and many Artifact Refiners can manufacture them. But medium Flying Boats are Magical Treasures that most forces can’t craft.

As for large Flying Boats, although not Spiritual Artifacts, the Artifact Refining techniques and Array designs involved are more complex than those of most Spiritual Artifacts.

To build a large Flying Boat, it’s not merely a matter of having skilled Artifact Refiners; it requires the concerted efforts of Artifact Refiners and Array Masters.

In design, one or two Artifact Refiners and Array Masters might suffice, but in manufacturing, hundreds of Artifact Refiners and several Array Masters are needed.

Although most facilities on a large Flying Boat involve relatively simple components, able to be crafted by First-order Artifact Refiners or even Forging Martial Artists, constructing a large Flying Boat demands a complete supporting manufacturing system.

Not to mention ordinary forces; most Golden Core Powers lack the capability to build large Flying Boats.

For instance, even White Cloud Immortal City lacks the ability to manufacture large Flying Boats.

It’s not that White Cloud Immortal City doesn’t have sufficient Array Masters and Artifact Refiners, but that it hasn’t formed a supporting manufacturing system.

Though the foundation of the Spirit Source Land is weak, it has one huge advantage: command over resources.

A single order from Yang Chengmao can mobilize large numbers of people and resources to focus on one area.

In contrast, the Sky Cloud Sword Sect cannot achieve this. Although Yun Ge’s command can mobilize many forces, it cannot concentrate them all on a single industry.

Temporary allocation is feasible, but when it comes to upgrading an industry, that is beyond Yun Ge’s capability.

In this respect, the Sky Cloud Sword Sect can’t compete with the Spirit Source Land.
