Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1268: Chapter 826: Unpredictable Ghost Sect (Part 3)

”Alright, I knew I couldn’t fool you. Let’s reintroduce myself, I am Mo Xuanyu from the Unpredictable Ghost Sect.” Mo Xuanyu stepped out of the darkness, revealing a pale yet handsome face.

The Lian family’s ancestor’s eyes glimmered, ”Unpredictable Ghost Sect, so it was the Unpredictable Ghost Sect behind the Soul-breaking Blade!”

Mo Xuanyu grinned widely, his ghastly white teeth and pale face together seemed exceptionally eerie, ”Since you knew, you should understand that if you choose not to collaborate, then the only path for you now is death!”

”Hehe~~” The Lian family’s ancestor let out a hoarse laugh, ”Do I have any other choices?”

”No!”

”Then let’s go!” The Lian family’s ancestor slowly got up.

Mo Xuanyu looked at him and said with a smile, ”A very wise choice.”

Having said that, the two walked out of the room and in the dim moonlight, they flew out of Lianjia Town, speeding eastward for hundreds of miles.

Don’t be deceived by the Lian family’s ancestor’s appearance of being at death’s door, as he flew hundreds of miles without showing any signs of fatigue.

At dawn, they arrived at a mountain cave, the exit was very concealed, hidden in deep forests and hills, without careful search, it couldn’t be found at all.

However, upon entering the cave, and stepping into the depths of the corridor, the scent of corrosion and rust wrapped in a sweet stench collided against the throat. The blue bricks underfoot had long been seeped with bloodstains and turned into a dark purple, with dark red patterns snaking through the gaps like congealed blood vessels. As spider silk falling from the dome brushed against the forehead, the suddenly open underground space entered the Lian family’s ancestor’s view.

The Lian family’s ancestor’s cloudy eyes shrank sharply, an expression of shock appeared on his withered face.

In the thousand-foot Blood Pool, thick blood surged, with half white bone and darkened limbs floating on the surface, bubble bursting sounds mixed with the clinking of dragging chains. Three White Bone Pillars stood at the center of the pool, with a bleeding ancient bronze lamp hanging at the top, its oil turned out to be boiled human eyeballs, the ghostly blue flame eerily flickering within the pupils.

On a black stone platform full of spiral runes by the pool, twelve heart-carved corpses kneeled in a ring, with barbed chains inserted into their chest cavities, the other end sunk into the bottom of the pool. In the center of the Array, a half-scroll of charred ancient scrolls hovered, with every crack exuding a crimson mist, in which ghostly faces with interwoven fangs vaguely appeared.

Even having lived for three hundred years, it was the first time that the Lian family’s ancestor had seen such a diabolically terrifying scene.

”What is this?”

”Heh, the Evil Blood Killing Array!” Mo Xuanyu chuckled softly.

The Lian family’s ancestor looked at the dark red array patterns overhead, ”This is the Black Mountain Ridge!”

”That’s right!” Mo Xuanyu’s smile grew increasingly sinister.

”I see!” The Lian family’s ancestor took a deep breath.

Black Mountain Ridge was not a famous place at all, it didn’t even have this name before, and it was only after it became the major battlefield of the Nether Prison Sect and the Three Sects that this ridge was named Black Mountain Ridge.

”So you instigated the war between the Nether Prison Sect and Three Major Sect?”

”How could it be? We merely fanned the flames! Hahaha~~” Mo Xuanyu laughed complacently and rampantly.

Evidently, in the war between the Nether Prison Sect and the Three Sects of Lingxiu, they played quite a significant role.

The Lian family’s ancestor did not delve into these since they no longer held any meaning for him.

”What do I need to do next?”

”Enter the Blood Pool and become a blood corpse! Only then can you persist in this world, and the Lian family will not go extinct due to losing you!” Mo Xuanyu smiled and looked at him.

”Hehe, blood corpse, very nice!”

Without any hesitation, the Lian family’s ancestor slowly walked into the Blood Pool.

The crimson blood submerged his body until he was completely engulfed.
