Divine Level Witch Doctor

Zhao Yuan and the other two immediately pulled their hiking packs from the Storage Ring Space. Following Cheng Haoyu’s directions, they buried the explosives in the ground around them and connected the wireless remote devices. All Cheng Haoyu had to do was press the remote in his hand, and the explosives would detonate instantly!

”Perfect!”

Cheng Haoyu looked around with satisfaction. Even an experienced veteran would have trouble spotting the buried explosives, let alone an Exotic Beast like the Raccoon Power.

No matter how cunning it was, it was still just an animal. It would be impossible for it to discover the buried explosives.

”Come on, let’s go lure the Raccoon Power over,” Cheng Haoyu whispered, about to head out.

”Wait,” Zhao Yuan stopped him. ”Seeing you hold the remote makes me a little nervous. What if you accidentally press the button while we’re luring the Raccoon Power? Wouldn’t our whole plan be ruined? You should give it to me. I’ll put it in my Storage Ring Space. When we need it, I can take it out in an instant.”

Cheng Haoyu thought about it and realized he was right. He handed the remote to Zhao Yuan, reminding him, ”You’ll be in charge of this. Be extremely careful.”

The handoff complete, the four of them and the Bone Woman crept forward silently.

The White Cat leaped into a tree and began moving through the treetops.

They hadn’t taken more than a few steps when they felt the ground begin to shake. Before they could pinpoint the source of the tremors, with a loud BOOM, the ground to their front-left suddenly bulged, and a massive figure burrowed its way out!

It was a monster the size of a full-grown elephant, nearly four meters tall and six or seven meters long. Its presence was immensely oppressive!

It had the nose of a pig, two thick tusks, and four limbs like a chicken’s feet! Its entire body was covered in fur caked with mud and stone, as if it were wearing a suit of Mudstone Armor! In reality, its own hide was even tougher than this Mudstone Armor.

This was the Raccoon Power!

Although they had researched the Raccoon Power extensively before coming, seeing the Exotic Beast in the flesh left them utterly shocked.

This thing was even more imposing than a tank!

As a deeply shocked Zhao Yuan couldn’t help but mutter, ”Strange. The Raccoon Power usually stays underground. Why would it surface?”

This question also puzzled Ying Ji, Hao Li, and Cheng Haoyu.

But soon, they had their answer.

”Dang Kang! Dang Kang!”

A strange cry came from directly in front of the Raccoon Power. From the bushes emerged the Auspicious Beast they had seen earlier—the Dang Kang, which resembled a wild boar, only many times smaller.

The Dang Kang’s cry is its name; that’s how it got it.

Zhao Yuan’s brow twitched. ”The Dang Kang looks so weak, as if it’s just recovered from a serious illness...” The words had barely left his mouth when two newborn Little Dang Kangs crawled out of the bushes, squealing faintly.

He had a sudden realization. ”So it just gave birth. No wonder it’s so weak!”

The Raccoon Power saw the two Little Dang Kangs as well, and drool poured from its mouth. It seemed it hadn’t expected this extra prize on its hunt, and it let out a triumphant, monstrous howl. The Raccoon Power’s cry sounded a bit like a dog’s bark, but it was much louder and more piercing.

Though weakened from having just given birth, the mother Dang Kang showed no signs of retreat, baring its teeth at the Raccoon Power in a threat.

It couldn’t retreat, nor could it afford to. Behind it were its children! Though it wasn’t human, it had a mother’s instinct. It would give its life to protect its young without a second thought.

The Raccoon Power completely ignored the Dang Kang’s threat, about to charge forward, kill it in one bite, and then feast.

Seeing this, Zhao Yuan knew he couldn’t wait any longer. He had to act now.

He raised his hands, and two different Talismans flew from his grasp: one was a Five Ghosts Binding Talisman, and the other was a Thunder Light Talisman.

The moment they left his hands, the two Talismans burned to ash.

At the same time, the Raccoon Power kicked off the ground, about to charge the Dang Kang. But suddenly, five grotesque little Ghosts appeared. Some grabbed its legs, others its tail, forcefully halting the Raccoon Power’s momentum and preventing it from charging. Simultaneously, three bolts of lightning descended from the sky, slamming into the Raccoon Power’s body!

Under the lightning bombardment, the Mudstone Armor on the Raccoon Power’s body shattered. Its hide was mostly undamaged, but the lightning still hurt it, causing it to let out a series of earth-shaking roars.

The Raccoon Power erupted with brute force, shaking off the Five Ghosts’ bindings and minimizing their effect.

It turned and glared furiously at Zhao Yuan and the others. It was enraged that someone had dared to interrupt its meal!

However, Zhao Yuan and his team were not intimidated. In response to the Raccoon Power’s roar, the group launched a coordinated assault!

Talismans and Magic swarmed toward the Raccoon Power.

Hao Li threw a Thunder Light Talisman, Ying Ji cast a Weakness Technique, and Cheng Haoyu raised his automatic rifle and opened fire on the Raccoon Power!

All sorts of attacks rained down on the Raccoon Power like a violent storm. But thanks to its tough hide, it had no fear of bullets or lightning. These Techniques merely caused it pain; they couldn’t truly injure it. Only the Weakness Technique seemed to sap some of its strength.

The Raccoon Power let out a series of strange cries, as if mocking the weakness of their attacks.

The Bone Woman, who had been aiming her bow for some time, released the bowstring at that exact moment.

”SWOOSH!”

The Arrow let out a piercing whistle as it tore through the air, fast as lightning and powerful as a falling star, accurately striking the Raccoon Power’s left eye!

The Bone Woman’s shot was too fast, too accurate, and too sudden. The Raccoon Power had no time to dodge or even close its eye before the arrow burst its eyeball.

”Nice shot!” the group praised in unison.

”AWOOO!” The Raccoon Power roared in fury. It had never been injured in its life, let alone been blinded in one eye by a puny human!

This was intolerable!

Amidst its roars, it began to charge.

This was the Technique it was best at, and its deadliest move!

It was massive and fast. Once it started charging, it was like an oncoming tank, its destructive power utterly astounding!

”BANG! BANG! BANG...”

One after another, large trees in its path were effortlessly snapped in two by the Raccoon Power, doing nothing to slow its charge. On the contrary, it only seemed to charge faster and more ferociously.

Seeing this, Cheng Haoyu hurriedly shouted to the others, ”Fall back! Retreat to the trap!”

No one hesitated; they immediately turned and ran. Clashing head-on with this thing, even nine lives wouldn’t be enough. It was better to stick to the plan: lure it into the trap, detonate the explosives, and then attack.

But things didn’t go as they had hoped.

The charging Raccoon Power suddenly screeched to a halt, not taking another step forward. It seemed to have sensed danger in the area ahead.
