I just wanted you to make a movie: You made a Honkai Star Rail movie

Amphoreus, PV’s, film projects, and games...

Surrounding the Star Rail IP, Xia Wen wanted to reach every corner, so that the meaning of Star Rail could reach the hearts of more people!

--------------------------------------

After Xia Wen left the classroom, they listened to the commotion inside and smiled slightly.

The goal had been achieved.

Zhao Xinyue’s disguise had been torn off.

For someone like her, once such a scandal is exposed, she would no longer have any face to remain at school.

Transferring schools, maybe even moving to a different city, was entirely possible.

Without a doubt, this incident would become a heavy shadow in Zhao Xinyue’s heart, possibly affecting her future life.

But this was something she had to bear herself and if anything she could even overcome it and become a better version of herself.

As for Li Chengcheng, besides the fact that everyone came together just now, and recognized her as a rough gem, today, professionals from the company would also contact the school and social welfare organizations (with MiHoYo involved too) to provide her family with proper support.

That was everyone’s intention.

Teach a man to fish rather than give him a fish.

Rather than giving Li Chengcheng a large sum of money or directly interfering in her life, providing her with help within their means was healthier.

And not just her.

Because of Li Chengcheng’s story, Robin and Sunday were deeply moved.

As children, the siblings had also endured a lot of malice.

They decided to create a sub-department within the company, funded with their own money, dedicated to helping those who are struggling in life.

Whether elderly or children, as long as they passed assessment, they could receive help from this sub-department.

This initiative received an enthusiastic response from the entire company.

Everyone joined in based on their own ideas.

Of course, the sub-department would be affiliated with the operations division led by Jade, and would have dedicated personnel in charge.

It wasn’t created to make money, its purpose was simply to help those who should be helped, within their capacity.

Naturally, the department’s capabilities would be limited; they wouldn’t be able to help everyone.

But just like the lyrics in Honkai: Star Rail’s first PV said:

”Before reaching the end, make the best choice possible so as to not leave any regrets.”

That’s what gives it meaning.

Time flew by.

In the afternoon, school had already let out.

Groups of excited students gathered on their way home, still talking about today’s magical events.

Meanwhile, Li Chengcheng had already returned home early.

She wasn’t skipping school, after participating in the charity event with March 7th and the others, she was taken by the welfare organization, school, and medical staff for a coordinated evaluation.

A flood of care she had never experienced before came pouring in all at once.

Neither she nor her grandmother could fully take it in.

But fortunately, no matter how overwhelming it felt, the result was good.

Some subsidies, some support, enough to greatly improve their living conditions.

At the very least, she no longer had to worry about her grandmother’s illness or their daily survival.

During this process, someone suddenly offered to give her a large amount of cash.

Li Chengcheng firmly refused.

Though young, the malice she had suffered made her mature early.

Wealth not earned through effort wasn’t help, it was a curse.

She even turned down some of the assistance offered by MiHoYo, accepting only essential items like food, treatment for her grandmother, and help with her tuition.

These were already enough to transform her life.

If she wanted more, she would get a job, take on part-time work, study hard, and find a good job in the future.

She would use her own hands to build a better future.

In her room, Li Chengcheng sat at her little desk, looking at all the new things spread across it.

Her eyes were still a little dazed.

In the morning at school, Robin and March had pulled her to change into new clothes, and then she had followed them, somewhat dreamily, doing charity work from classroom to classroom.

The contrast between her past life and today’s experience was so stark that it left her in a hazy, almost unreal state the whole time.

March 7th’s lively encouragement, Robin’s empathy, and of course, her favorite, Blade.

He didn’t say much, but just looking at him, Li Chengcheng felt an immense sense of security.

”Brother Blade, Miss March, and Miss Robin... They really came to help me.”

”So even a small light like me is worth being fully saved in their eyes.”

”The beautiful ideals I received from the show... they truly exist in reality.”

Li Chengcheng suddenly smiled brightly.

In all these years, she had never smiled so happily.

Even her heart felt warm, full of energy.

”Loving Honkai: Star Rail really is the best decision ever!” Li Chengcheng thought sincerely to herself.

Then, she picked up two photos, one group photo, one Polaroid.

The group photo was taken at the school gate, still pinned on the wall.

The Polaroid was taken using March 7th’s camera , it was of Blade.

In the picture, Blade had his hands in his pockets, looking at the camera with surprise.

”Chengcheng, you have to lose weight. You’ve got great potential, if you slim down, you’ll become a goddess!”

”When you’re feeling down, listen to more music.”

”When you encounter bullying, you should resist, use all your strength to resist.”

Recalling the three’s advice, Li Chengcheng looked at the photos and nodded firmly.

”I will definitely do it.”

Her words were firm and resolute, Li Chengcheng had never spoken with such determination.

She would lose weight, study hard, and work part-time.

No longer would she leave everything to her grandmother.

She would change herself, change her family, change her future, because only that could be worthy of the hearts and kindness of her idols.

Li Chengcheng knew she had nothing to repay them with, and MiHoYo didn’t need so-called ”gratitude” either.

The only thing she could do was to become a better version of herself.

That would be the best form of thanks to everyone at MiHoYo.

...

After the public welfare event on Monday, the next day.

Inside the MiHoYo campus, besides discussing the reflections of March 7th and the others from yesterday’s outing, everyone was also gathered around the set watching the filming of a personal story.

”You don’t understand.”

”We need to film some everyday, heartwarming stuff.”

”Only then, when the audience gets immersed and sees your hardships, will they truly feel a deep, heartfelt pain.”

”A so-called tragedy is when you first show something beautiful, and then tear it to shreds.”

On the set of Tingyun’s shoot, Xia Wen was giving her direction.

Hearing this, Tingyun felt it was a bit too much.

”Bo- Boss.”

”Won’t the audience think this is over the top?”

Tingyun hesitated and said, ”Maybe the fans would rather see something beautiful.”

”No no no, this is exactly what they like,” Xia Wen said firmly.

And in the original Honkai: Star Rail game, Tingyun’s backstory already had many past memories and scenes.

There wasn’t even a need for much setup, just seeing those flashbacks and then her fate after encountering Lord Phantylia was painful enough to hit the audience right in the heart.

”My precious one...”

”If I were a fan, I’d be waiting at the door, ready to shoot the boss out of love.”

Boothill, who was listening seriously, suddenly couldn’t hold back anymore.

In his shoot, he had focused heavily on warm, tender moments.

From childhood, to youth, and to adopting a child.

He had captured all those cozy daily scenes in carefully selected segments.

Forget the audience, even during filming, Boothill had completely immersed himself in the role.

The emotional journey from a cowboy to an avenger was performed with incredible nuance.

Not to mention, he actually had a precious daughter in real life.

And in the story, that adopted daughter had already...

Thinking of this, Boothill gasped sharply, feeling overwhelmed.

If he felt this way, he couldn’t even imagine how the audience would react to this short, intense personal story.

Too cruel!

”Alright.”

”I’ll think about how to do this better.”

Kind-hearted Tingyun scratched her head, torn between giving the audience a good show or sparing them some pain.

Xia Wen smiled, not interfering with Tingyun’s thoughts any further.

Then, he answered a few more of Boothill’s questions before wrapping up the morning’s work.

But that wasn’t the end.

Back at the office, Xia Wen started planning the next filming schedule.

After the epilogue, he still had to shoot the interlude for Jade and Xianzhou, Tingyun’s return, and the story in the Herta Space Station.

As the general director, it all fell to him.

And Furina had gone back home.

Without the assistant director, Xia Wen’s workload suddenly exploded.

And not only that.

Forget about the characters from Amphoreus, even some of the key roles in the Xianzhou Chapter still hadn’t been cast.

Unlike before, when people always happened to gather around the MiHoYo campus just in time for shooting, now, no matter how he searched, he just couldn’t find anyone.

Xia Wen had a strange expression.

This felt a bit like when his gacha luck used to be amazing, getting a 5-star in just a few pulls, and now the universe was collecting the debt, hitting pity with bad rolls every time.

”Ms. Feixiao”

”And everyone from Amphoreus...”

”Where on earth are you all?”

...

Greece.

Furina had just gotten off the plane, and let out a heavy sigh.

”What bad luck...”

”Why did the plane land here...”

”Sigh, whatever. I’ll just refund the ticket and wander around nearby.”

She originally planned to go home in one go.

But halfway there, something unexpected happened.

Her plane had to make an emergency landing at a small airport in Greece.

Her plans were disrupted, leaving Furina a bit disheartened.

But then, she suddenly had a flash of inspiration.

Back when she had no money, she mostly stayed holed up at home...

But now, she was a little rich lady.

Plus, Xia Wen had given her plenty of time and freedom.

Did that mean she could travel?

As soon as the thought appeared, Furina couldn’t help but grin.

”Ahem, this... this also counts as doing work for the company.”

”After all, I’m supposed to find people.”

”I’ll reluctantly put up with the hardship, then.”

Once she convinced herself, Furina completely forgot the earlier frustration.

She happily left the airport, looking out at the scenery.

Furina felt refreshed and carefree.

She didn’t even know where this place was, but it didn’t matter, she had money in her pocket and nothing to fear!

Just as she was about to find a taxi to explore the area, she suddenly noticed...

Two strange and suspicious-looking people were standing by the roadside.

One was tall, with white hair, wearing plain and extremely ordinary clothes.

Next to him was a red-haired muscular man, wearing only a undershirt/vest, showing off his explosively muscular physique.

Both of them were looking in Furina’s direction.

Because this airport was in a remote location, there were hardly any pedestrians either inside or outside the airport at this time.

So Furina was certain, they were looking at her.

”This is bad...”

”These two definitely don’t look like good people.”

”I’m doomed, I’m doomed...”

”I shouldn’t have worn such expensive clothes, I must’ve been targeted.”

”What do I do, what do I do...”

”Should I call the boss? But what if they rush over and kidnap me right away...”

Furina stood there stiffly, pretending to look elsewhere, but the corner of her eye caught their movement.

Sure enough! Those two non-mainstream weirdos were still staring at her!

On the other side,

”You, you go.”

Phainon nudged Mydei with his elbow, saying awkwardly.

”That’s not what you said when we came out. I’m just here to supervise the quality of the flyers.”

Mydei glanced at Phainon, speaking bluntly: ”Didn’t you brag about being the savior of the troupe? What, now you’re scared to even hand out flyers?”

”Sigh...”

Phainon scratched his head, looking at the young girl in the distance.

His heart was pounding with panic.

He was clearly out of his mind, believing what his teacher said about the airport having lots of people, with good manners, and maybe even some who could appreciate opera.

Compared to handing out flyers in the countryside, it seemed much more promising here.

So Phainon came along with Mydei.

But he regretted it almost immediately.

He felt guilty...

After all, he was just a country boy, dressed plainly, and now he had to hold a flyer and promote opera, talking about how classic and epic it was.

It made him embarrassed to even speak.

Fortunately, this place was remote, and after waiting for a while, no one showed up, so they were about to head back.

But then, someone came out!

Mydei immediately told him to go over and hand out the flyer.

And that girl didn’t look ordinary at all, her clothes, accessories were all impeccable, even giving off the aura of a famous actress that Phainon had seen before.

The pressure was overwhelming.

”Hiss...”

He finally couldn’t stand it anymore and mustered up the courage to walk over.

But just as he took a step, he saw that blue-haired girl panic and sprint away into the distance.

”?”

”?”

”This...”

Mydei used all his strength to keep a straight face, barely holding back a laugh.

”Sigh, I’ll just go back to handing out flyers in the village...”

Phainon said in defeat.

”Pfft, alright then.”

Mydei smiled and shook his head.

On the other side, Furina had no idea she had just missed the very person her boss had told her to find.

But she couldn’t be blamed.

Furina had been focusing on the part about strange man wearing purple pants and a yellow shirt, and completely ignored the hair color.

After ”escaping from death,” Furina got into a taxi and urgently said, ”Quick, go to the police station!”

The taxi driver was very professional and didn’t ask questions, he started the taxi immediately.

Once they were away from the airport, Furina finally relaxed a little in the back seat.

That was way too scary just now!

Those two guys were either pickpockets or robbers!

You couldn’t blame Furina for overthinking, she was born and raised in old Paris and had seen all sorts of weirdos across Europe.

Not to mention, this was the countryside.

”Who would’ve thought just traveling and looking for someone could be so dangerous!”

”No, I have to call the boss!”

”I, I want double overtime pay!”

Furina’s mind was running wild with thoughts.

...

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Earth, Xia Wen and everyone at MiHoYo had no idea about Furina’s bizarre adventure.

Because amid the tension of filming, Wednesday had arrived.

Three content-packed PVs that had been in preparation for a long time were finally released.

Firefly’s PV, Embers of Glamoth!

Regarding the emotional gut-punches fans were meant to receive, Xia Wen never held back!
