Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1576: 1575 I worry about you

Qin Mu woke up, it was already the next morning.

An Lin insisted on staying by his side, she fell asleep leaning on his hospital bed in the middle of the night.

When Qin Mu opened his eyes, he saw An Lin with her black hair leaning on the edge of the bed. His dark eyes were momentarily bewildered; a moment later, a gentle light gathered at the bottom of his eyes.

His thin lips moved slightly, the thought of waking An Lin faded away.

Recalling the moment when Mrs. Yao fired the gun, and the scene of the little woman in front of him trying to shield him from the bullet, complex emotions surged within Qin Mu’s heart, indescribable and inexplicable.

There was gratitude, distress, deep love, and guilt for the hurt he had caused her before.

Even though so much time had passed since then, as long as he thinks back to how he misunderstood An Lin, inflicting such deep harm on her, yet she forgave him,

Qin Mu felt that he had been such a scoundrel.

The large hand that lay on the bedside gently lifted, slowly gently touched An Lin’s head.

The next moment, An Lin in her sleep immediately woke up, her eyes meeting his with traces of tenderness in his dark eyes, a hint of excitement burst from An Lin’s pupils, her voice filled with emotion: “Ah Mu, you’re awake.”

“Yes, I’m awake.”

Qin Mu gave her a gentle smile.

Gazing at her pretty face, his voice carried three parts tenderness that echoed in the ward, “Why are you sleeping by the bed, your body is special now, even if not for yourself, think of the baby in your belly.”

“I was worried about you.”

An Lin didn’t know if she was moved or reminded of the scene of him getting hurt yesterday, her eyes unknowingly filled with tears.

As she spoke, her gaze did not waver while looking at Qin Mu, her hands tightly holding his large hand.

Yesterday when Qin Mu got shot, she was really frightened.

Seeing him lose so much blood, being carried away by Mo Xiuchen, her mind went blank, but thankfully, he was fine.

Qin Mu felt a pang of heartache, turned his hand to gently grip hers, “Go call Uncle Gu, and rest after a while.”

Upon his words, An Lin hurriedly stood up, “Ah Mu, are you in pain, I’ll go call Uncle Gu right now.”

“No need for you to run and call.”

Qin Mu gestured her to press the call button.

Two minutes later, Gu Yan brought doctors and nurses over.

Last night, not only did An Lin not go home, Director Gu who operated on Qin Mu also didn’t return home, but rested in his office.

Half an hour later, Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran, along with Qin Mu and An Lin’s parents, all arrived at the hospital.

Seeing Qin Mu’s pale face, Mother Qin’s eyes reddened with distress.

In contrast, Father Qin didn’t think it was anything serious, now that he was awake, as long as he recuperated well, he would be lively again in a few months.

“An Lin, you go rest, I’ll stay to care for Ah Mu.”

Mother Qin asked Qin Mu two concerned questions, then looked up and said to An Lin.

Qin Mu also nodded, looking at An Lin with gentle and soft eyes, “An Lin, go home, have something to eat and take a nap.”

“An Lin, Ah Mu is right, you mustn’t tire yourself out, come to my home later, I’ll have Nanny Zhang prepare some porridge for you, eat it and have a good rest then come to accompany Ah Mu in the afternoon.”

Wen Ran, standing beside An Lin, also persuaded.

They knew An Lin didn’t want to leave the hospital, wanting to stay and accompany Qin Mu.

If it were any other day, it wouldn’t matter.

But now, she is pregnant, she shouldn’t exhaust herself so much.

“Okay.”

Seeing everyone’s concerned gazes on her, An Lin swallowed her refusal and softly agreed.

Seeing her agree, the corner of Qin Mu’s lips curled into a warm smile.

At the end, Qing Feng and Qing Yang escorted Wen Ran and An Lin home, and after understanding Qin Mu’s situation, Mo Xiuchen left for the company to work.

Luo Haofeng had an afternoon flight back to City C, he willingly stayed at the hospital just in case they needed anything.

Back at Wen Ran’s home, as she accompanied An Lin for breakfast, she suggested, “An Lin, why don’t you rest at my house, so you don’t have to run back and forth.”

“I’ll go back and have a look, my cousin locked Jinchen up since yesterday, I wonder if he’s been let out yet.”

An Lin was somewhat worried.

Yesterday, when Feng Wanfeng called, Jinchen wanted to find Tongtong, on his own he left home, only then did he get taken away by Yao Dewei and Lu Yunfei who were following the community resident.

After rescuing him, Feng Wanfeng angrily grounded Jinchen, saying he wasn’t allowed to eat.

“No matter how furious cousin gets, Jinchen is her own son, she won’t really starve him, you don’t need to worry.”

An Lin hesitated a moment, “Alright then, I’ll go to the guest room upstairs to rest in a while.”

Having stayed up all night at the hospital, An Lin was indeed fatigued.

After breakfast, Wen Ran accompanied An Lin upstairs, only after sending her to the guest room did she go to the third floor looking for those little ones.

Before sleeping, An Lin made a call to Tang Yang, asking him about Mrs. Yao’s situation.

After Tang Yang explained in detail, she finally felt secure enough to climb into bed and sleep.

Not even asleep yet, she received a call from Feng Wanfeng, “An Lin, are you still at the hospital, has Ah Mu woken up?”

An Lin, half-lying on the bed, put the phone on speaker and placed it on the sheet, “Ah Mu has woken up, I’m at Ranran’s house, just had breakfast and prepared to sleep.”

“Ah Mu’s awake?”

Feng Wanfeng’s voice carried a hint of delight.

There was a trace of smile on An Lin’s face too, “Yes, Ah Mu woke up around six. Cousin, are you still grounding Jinchen?”

“Hmm, unless he learns a lesson, my anger won’t subside.”

Talking about Jinchen, Feng Wanfeng’s tone instantly turned from joy to anger.

Yesterday, Jinchen was kidnapped by that scumbag Yao, he nearly got seriously hurt.

Thinking back to the fear and worry she felt yesterday, the fire surged in Feng Wanfeng’s heart again; Jinchen knew he was wrong, obediently reflecting in his room.

He didn’t eat lunch yesterday, and at night, he only drank half a bowl of porridge.

This morning, Feng Wanfeng gave him breakfast, he didn’t eat either.

Feng Wanfeng, despite feeling distressed, forced herself to be firm about yesterday’s incident.

“Cousin, Tang Yang just called and asked about Jinchen, he asked me to persuade you that it’s enough to scare Jinchen a bit.”

“You tell him, in future matters between me and Jinchen, he need not worry.”

Feng Wanfeng’s sudden change of tone puzzled An Lin.

She blinked in surprise, picked up the phone from the sheet, and curiously asked, “Cousin, did you take the wrong medicine?”

“Go away, I’m perfectly fine.”

“Then why is your tone off, weren’t you very grateful to Tang Yang yesterday, when Jinchen was safely rescued, he really did play a major role.”

“I still thank him, but that’s a separate matter.”

Feng Wanfeng’s words had a hint of stiffness.

An Lin’s thoughts raced and she suddenly laughed, “Cousin, are you afraid Tang Yang has designs on you? Actually, I think you can try accepting Tang Yang…”
