Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1537: 1536 just treat it as practice.

The next morning, when An Lin woke up, she was still embraced by Qin Mu.

Qin Mu might not have slept well last night because of his illness, as he hadn’t woken up yet.

Her gaze lingered on his handsome features, and her heart involuntarily softened again.

After all, he was the man she deeply loved. Even when she was angry at him or hurt, her love remained unchanged.

She stared at him for a while before reaching out to touch his forehead. The fever was gone. But as soon as she touched him, Qin Mu woke up.

His suddenly opened eyes met hers.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly withdrew her hand.

“Morning.”

“Feeling better?” An Lin pressed her lips and asked stiffly. She struggled slightly in his hold, and Qin Mu smiled, “Much better.”

“Get up, go to G City, and have Ah Kai check on you.”

It’s not that there weren’t any hospitals in City C, but An Lin was worried about Qin Mu; in this virus-prone season, she trusted Gu Kai more.

“No need to go, I’m fine now. Just need to finish the medication today,” Qin Mu smiled and shook his head, paused slightly, and added, “Didn’t you say you wanted to go shopping for clothes the day before yesterday? I’ll accompany you today.”

“How did you know?”

An Lin looked at Qin Mu in surprise.

She hadn’t mentioned wanting to shop to him.

“I heard.”

Qin Mu smiled, pulled her up from the bed, and went to the closet to find clothes for her.

Since Qin Mu was sick, An Lin didn’t allow him to make breakfast, so they went to a breakfast shop outside.

After breakfast, Qin Mu really accompanied An Lin for shopping.

Midway, An Lin asked him twice if he was tired and suggested he wait somewhere or go home first if he didn’t want to shop.

Qin Mu refused, “A man keeps his word. Even if you shop all morning or all day, I’ll accompany you.”

At eleven o’clock, Qin Mu’s hands were full of bags of all sizes.

When the phone rang, he didn’t have a free hand to get it.

“An Lin, can you take out my phone?” Qin Mu leaned slightly and asked An Lin for help.

An Lin frowned and reached for the bags in his hand, “Let me carry them, you answer the phone.”

Qin Mu handed her one of the bags and took out his phone, “Hello, Mom.”

Hearing him call her ‘Mom,’ An Lin slowed her pace slightly. Qin Mu turned to smile warmly at her, signaling her not to lag behind.

He was talking on the phone while walking towards his Land Rover.

“Ah Mu, how has An Lin been these days?”

On the phone, Mother Qin’s concerned voice came through, but she wasn’t worried about him; she was concerned about An Lin.

Qin Mu smiled, “An Lin is doing well, I’m shopping with her right now.”

“Shopping, Ah Mu, what if you tire An Lin out? I’m telling you, you have to be careful in the first three months. Yesterday, I went flower arranging and heard a lady say her daughter-in-law was over a month pregnant, took a flight, and had a miscarriage.”

“Mom, it’s not as exaggerated as you say.” Qin Mu’s eyes flickered, sounding unbelieving.

“How not? She told me herself. I even went to the hospital to ask; before three months, the fetus isn’t developed, and ****** is too low… there are all sorts of problems…”

Qin Mu frowned and pulled the phone away a bit. He could hear Mother Qin talking, but not clearly what she was saying.

Only after she finished nagging did he bring the phone back to his ear.

An Lin put the bags in the trunk, then came back to take the bags from Qin Mu’s hands.

“Ah Mu, has An Lin not had a proper check-up? Take her to the hospital over the weekend.”

“Mom, An Lin is perfectly healthy… cough…”

Qin Mu’s throat tickled, and after a few seconds, he couldn’t hold back his cough.

Hearing him cough, Mother Qin’s voice immediately turned anxious, “Ah Mu, are you catching a cold?”

“Just a minor cold, it’s nothing.”

Qin Mu thought his mom was worried about him.

However, the next second, it was as if he was thrown from heaven into hell, “Why are you so careless? You could catch a cold anytime but during An Lin’s pregnancy? And you’re still shopping with her, keep your distance so you don’t transmit the virus to her.”

Qin Mu rolled his eyes in annoyance, “Mom, it’s not as bad as you say.”

“How not? Let An Lin take the phone.”

Mother Qin was extremely concerned about the future grandchild, not allowing any potential risks to occur.

“An Lin, Mom wants to talk to you.”

Qin Mu handed the phone to An Lin in the passenger seat, and he himself buckled the seatbelt.

An Lin’s eyes showed a hint of surprise. She hadn’t heard what Mother Qin had said, and didn’t know why she wanted to talk to her.

She took the phone and politely called, “Mom.”

“An Lin, keep your distance from Ah Mu these days, especially during this time. You must not catch a cold.”

“Mom, I’m not sick.”

An Lin responded while glaring at Qin Mu fiercely.

It’s all his fault.

Qin Mu wore an innocent expression.

“It’s good you’re not sick, but Ah Mu is. It’s better for you not to live with him these days, let him stay in a hotel, or return to A City and hire a nanny to take care of you.”

“Mom, no need to trouble a nanny, I’ll just let him stay in a hotel.”

Beside her, Qin Mu listened to her words, and his innocent look turned to one of grievance.

Mother Qin gave a few more reminders, mainly telling An Lin to rest well, be careful not to get sick, and not to work too hard.

As she hung up the phone, Qin Mu asked curiously, “Mom’s not talking to me anymore?”

An Lin pursed her lips into a smile, “No, she’s afraid you’ll pass the cold to her.”

“Nonsense, how could I transmit it over such a long distance?” Qin Mu frowned, pretending to be displeased.

“What did Mom tell you just now?”

Once the car was on the road, Qin Mu turned to ask An Lin again.

An Lin was staring out the car window, and only turned her head at his question, “Nothing much, just told you to stay in a hotel, or go back to A City and come back after you’ve recovered.”

Qin Mu chuckled, “If my dad weren’t injured, I think Mom would have come over to kick me out and take care of you herself.”

“Serves you right for lying.”

An Lin’s words carried a hint of gritted teeth because of his lie. Mother Qin had repeatedly reminded her of what not to do…

“One day, it’ll become the truth.”

Qin Mu raised his eyebrows indifferently, seeing An Lin glaring at him, then added with a sigh, “For now, just treat it as practice.”
