Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1535: 1534 Of course, we need to have a younger brother.

Gu Kai’s mouth twitched violently.

He fully embraced the habit of asking when he doesn’t understand, “Why not ask?”

Tongtong looked at Gu Kai with disdain, her expression a typical “Dad, you’re so dense” look, as she pointed at Bai Yiyi’s belly and said, “You already have Tongtong, so of course, Mom will have a brother.”

“Then why do you have to check the pulse?”

Seemingly stumped by Gu Kai’s question, Tongtong furrowed her brows and thought for a few seconds, “Because I’m a doctor, and doctors naturally have to check the pulse.”

“…”

Bai Yiyi was already laughing so hard she couldn’t straighten up.

Gu Kai reached out and patted her shoulder, “Yiyi, stop laughing.”

“Haha… I can’t help it, it’s just too funny.” Bai Yiyi covered her belly with her left hand and pointed at Tongtong with her right, “Tongtong, who told you that once Daddy and Mommy have you, they must have another brother?”

“That’s how it’s done on TV.”

Tongtong replied without a pause.

“What kind of TV are you watching?” Bai Yiyi stopped laughing and looked sternly at Tongtong.

It’s not good for kids to watch those TV shows and learn all sorts of nonsense. She has always been against letting Tongtong watch those dramas.

“I don’t know, I watched it with Grandma.”

Tongtong answered with a smile.

Bai Yiyi frowned, “Did Grandma let you watch TV again?”

“I wanted to watch ‘Bear Infestation,’ and Grandma said I had to wait until she finished her episode.”

Tongtong gauged the mood, seeing Mom wasn’t happy, the excitement and smile on her face vanished.

She bit her lip and held out a small finger, indicating only a little bit of it, “I only watched this tiny bit.”

“Really?”

Bai Yiyi didn’t believe it, looking sternly at Tongtong.

Tongtong blinked, “Mom, Tongtong isn’t lying to you, I even saw the doctor.”

“You saw the doctor?”

Bai Yiyi raised an eyebrow, confusion apparent.

Tongtong nodded emphatically, “That aunt had a baby, and a grandma said she had a daughter, so she had to have a brother.”

Bai Yiyi raised a hand to her temple, and Gu Kai disagreed with Tongtong watching adult dramas, but still smiled to soothe her, “Yiyi, don’t be mad, Tongtong doesn’t watch TV all the time.”

“I told my mom before not to let her watch those dramas.”

Bai Yiyi was very depressed; she knew her mom loves watching TV dramas.

But Tongtong is too young, watching too much TV is bad for her eyes, and because kids mimic strongly, they tend to learn things they shouldn’t.

On the weekend, Gu Kai went to Wen Ran’s Home with Tongtong for lessons, while Bai Yiyi went to her mom’s for a chat.

“Mom, has Tongtong been watching dramas with you again?”

When talking with her mom, Bai Yiyi is mostly straightforward.

Bai Yuqin was picking vegetables, hearing Bai Yiyi’s question, she turned to look at her and smiled, “You mean a few days ago, Tongtong woke up one afternoon, came downstairs by herself, and I happened to be watching TV, so I let her watch a few minutes.”

“Mom, haven’t I told you not to let Tongtong watch TV?”

Bai Yiyi said, feeling suffocated, “Do you know what Tongtong told us that day?”

“What did she say?”

Bai Yuqin asked, puzzled.

Seeing Bai Yiyi’s bad mood, her smile became slightly unnatural.

“Tongtong said that since we had her, we would definitely have another brother. She even said that’s how it’s done on TV.”

Bai Yuqin showed a look of surprise, recalling the drama she watched that day, “Yiyi, Tongtong is smart, I didn’t expect her to say that.”

“Mom, I don’t mind you watching TV, but Tongtong is too young, don’t let her watch those messy shows.”

Bai Yiyi paused slightly, then added, “Mom, if you find it hard taking care of Tongtong, we’ll take care of her ourselves. She’s grown up now, I can send her to kindergarten.”

“Yiyi, is Ah Kai upset?”

Bai Yuqin’s expression changed slightly, worriedly asking.

Bai Yiyi shook her head, “No, it’s my idea. Anyway, Tongtong should be going to kindergarten next semester, and you’re not well, so I thought of sending her now.”

A touch of sadness flickered in Bai Yuqin’s eyes, her voice deeply tinged with loss, “Yiyi, I stayed in G City because I thought I could help you with Tongtong, which would be useful. If you send Tongtong to kindergarten, there’s no point for me to stay here.”

“Mom!”

Bai Yiyi called out, displeased.

Bai Yuqin sighed, “If you guys want to send Tongtong to kindergarten, then send her.”

“Mom, you’re not angry, are you?”

Bai Yiyi tilted her head deliberately asking.

“No, I just want to go back to the countryside.”

Bai Yuqin’s eyes revealed a trace of loneliness, “Yiyi, although Ah Kai accepted me, I always feel that it’s not good living in his house.”

“Mom, I’ve said it before, it’s not Ah Kai’s idea; it’s mine.”

Bai Yiyi repeated, displeased, “Forget it, this semester has started, we’ll send Tongtong next semester.”

Bai Yiyi reluctantly compromised.

In the evening, after Tongtong went to sleep, Bai Yiyi and Gu Kai returned to the master bedroom together. Gu Kai took her to the sofa to sit down, picked up the kindergarten brochure from the coffee table, and showed it to her, “Yiyi, I went to find out this afternoon, this kindergarten is currently the best in G City.”

Bai Yiyi’s eyes flickered, “Ah Kai, it’s already started, let’s enroll Tongtong next semester.”

Gu Kai looked at her puzzled, “Yiyi, didn’t we agree?”

Bai Yiyi forced a smile, “Ah Kai, my mom said that if Tongtong starts school, she would find no meaning in staying in G City and wants to go back to the countryside.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Kai fell silent.

“Ah Kai, I’ve already told my mom not to let Tongtong watch TV anymore.”

Bai Yiyi saw Gu Kai was not speaking, and reached to tug at his shirt sleeve.

Gu Kai looked at her cautious and worried demeanor, smiled and said, “Then we’ll do it next semester; after all, Tongtong mostly spends time with Ziyi, Xin Xin, and Momo, watching TV isn’t a big part of it.”

Because Tongtong attended classes with Ziyi, Xin Xin, and Momo, she was mostly with them.

It’s impossible to watch TV all day.

Originally, it was Bai Yiyi who suggested Tongtong go to kindergarten, which is why Gu Kai went to the kindergarten for a review today.

City C

In the season where winter gives way to spring, Qin Mu, who always claims to be healthy, caught a cold.

Ever since that night in G City when he and An Lin shared a bed, he insisted on sleeping together with her, but An Lin staunchly refused, so he could only stay in the guest room.

But how he caught a cold truly puzzled An Lin, could it be that he kicked off the quilt at night?

“Don’t make breakfast if you have a cold, I’ll go out to buy.”

On the weekend, as soon as An Lin woke up, she heard coughing from the kitchen.

She walked into the kitchen and saw Qin Mu turning around with a mask on, making fried eggs for her.

Upon hearing her suggestion, Qin Mu reassured, “Don’t worry, I’m wearing a mask, I won’t spread it to you.”
