Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 622: 621 My surname is Mo, I am not a stranger

Cheng Jia chuckled confidently, lowering her voice to discuss her plans with Mo Zixuan.

At the end, she added, “Mr. President, perhaps you should consider my proposition.”

“You may leave now.”

Mo Zixuan didn’t respond to Cheng Jia’s words immediately but waved her off coldly.

After Cheng Jia had left, Mo Zixuan sat alone behind his desk, lost in thought. He grabbed his car keys, got up, and briskly left his office.

Half an hour later, Mo Zixuan’s car pulled into the parking lot of Kangning Hospital.

He took the elevator upstairs and arrived at the door of the VIP ward where Mo Jingteng was staying. He didn’t immediately enter but stood at the door for about a minute, took a deep breath, and then pushed the door open.

Inside the ward, Mo Jingteng was leaning on a sofa, a newspaper in his hands.

“Dad!”

A brilliant smile emerged on Mo Zixuan’s face as he walked towards Mo Jingteng.

Mo Jingteng didn’t lift his head when he heard his voice and bore no change of expression on his face. He continued to read the newspaper with his head lowered.

A shadow of coldness flashed through Mo Zixuan’s eyes. He walked behind the sofa, placed his hand on Mo Jingteng’s shoulder, began to massage it lightly, and asked gently, “Dad, what would you like to eat tonight? I can call the housekeeper later to prepare it for you.”

Mo Jingteng scoffed, “Are you not content with having ascended to the CEO’s seat? Could it be that you’re planning to poison me just like your mother did?”

Annoyance flashed through Mo Zixuan’s heart, but he bore an awkward expression. He knew better than to lose his temper with Mo Jingteng, even though he had used underhanded means to become the CEO, he had never directly confronted Mo Jingteng.

In his presence, he had always been a good obedient son, unlike Mo Xiuchen, who had always infuriated Mo Jingteng every time.

He then feigned a laugh and said, “Dad, what are you talking about? I would never do such a thing. My mom had been blinded by love back then, but I am your biological son.”

“Hmph, biological son? Have you ever treated me like your biological father?”

Mo Jingteng suddenly slapped away his hand in annoyance, lifted his head, and stared at him with a penetrating gaze.

Ever since he became president, he had not visited him in the hospital once, only sending Cheng Jia over.

Although he was old and admitted to a hospital, he wasn’t deaf or blind. He was still fairly aware of the happenings at MS Group, and Cheng Jia, unashamedly, reported everything to him.

Of course, Cheng Jia was not faithful to him but only reported because she was in love with Mo Xiuchen. She thought Mo Zixuan was undeserving to be the CEO, wanted him to resign and let Mo Xiuchen take over.

What’s more, Cheng Jia also bad-mouthed Wen Ran a lot, hoping that Mo Jingteng would get rid of her, so Cheng Jia could become Mo Xiuchen’s woman.

Even if it was a pipe dream, Cheng Jia believed her dream would come true.

The color on Mo Zixuan’s face fluctuated as he endured his father’s words. He eventually said, “Dad, you’re my real father, and I’m your real son, this is a fact that won’t change. I know you’ve always felt Mo Xiuchen was the only one capable of leading MS Group and that I am incapable. But Mo Xiuchen, for a woman, has completely disregarded your company.”

Mo Jingteng frowned, radiating anger.

“I may lack Mo Xiuchen’s capabilities, but I am more than willing to put my best effort into managing the legacy you’ve worked so hard to build over your lifetime. Dad, wouldn’t that be better than handing the company over to someone else? At least, I am your son and bear the Mo surname, not like Luo Haofeng or Qin Mu, who are outsiders.”

Mo Jingteng’s breaths were heavy, clearly enraged to his limits.

But Mo Zixuan wasn’t planning to stop, he had come today to speak his mind. “The reason they were serving MS Group was due to Mo Xiuchen’s influences. Now, even though Mo Xiuchen doesn’t want the company, doesn’t mean they won’t be greedy and claim the company as their own. By the time you regret, it will be too late.”

“And what about you? You have no desire? You’ve only been in charge for a few days, and look what’s become of the company.”

Mo Jingteng questioned in a cold voice.

Mo Zixuan, this fool, had chase away Luo Haofeng and Qin Mu, causing the core staff to leave immediately. Those who now occupy those vacated positions were hired by him.

He thought those people could really replace the originals, which was ludicrous.

He should know that those who left were trained by Mo Xiuchen himself, with the most junior amongst them having served MS Group for at least five years. Not only were they familiar with the company operations, but they also had control over most of the customer resources…

Mo Zixuan blushed, this was a point he had to admit.

However, he also argued indignantly, “Dad, I believe all these are Mo Xiuchen’s scheming. The sudden emergence of ‘Hao Chen’ must be Mo Xiuchen’s own company. That’s why everyone left to join ‘Hao Chen’ and go against us.”

This was the reason he had come to the hospital to see Mo Jingteng today.

“Even if ‘Hao Chen’ is Mo Xiuchen’s company, so what? What you should focus on now is how to ensure the normal operation of MS Group. MS Group has been in G City for decades, it won’t be so easily swallowed up by a small company. Also, watch out for the Commercial Trade Building project during these days.”

In the end, Mo Jingteng was unwilling to see his company destroyed by Mo Zixuan.

Even if ‘Hao Chen’ was Mo Xiuchen’s company, and Mo Xiuchen was the one orchestrating all of this behind the scenes, he would not tolerate MS Group being ultimately swallowed up by ‘Hao Chen’.

“Dad, I will certainly do well.”

Mo Zixuan immediately put on a deferential demeanor, listened to Mo Jingteng’s lecture, and also accompanied him to dinner in the evening.

“Dad, it’s too stifling in this hospital. Maybe tomorrow I can come and take you home.”

After dinner, Mo Zixuan probed with tentativeness in his tone.

Mo Jingteng stared at him with a stern face. Mo Zixuan immediately laughed and said, “Dad, MS Group needs your guidance. I was hoping you could come back and teach me for a while…”

“When is Xiuchen coming back?”

Mo Jingteng stared at Mo Zixuan’s smiling face for a long while, then changed the topic.

Mo Zixuan was taken aback, a hint of unusual emotions flickered across his face, and he awkwardly chuckled, “Dad, I really don’t know.”

“I’m not leaving. You can go now!”

Mo Jingteng threw him a cold glance, got up, lay down on the bed, and closed his eyes to rest, completely ignoring Mo Zixuan.

Seeing this, Mo Zixuan didn’t dare to keep anything from him anymore and finally spoke the truth, “Dad, Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran are back in the country. They are in A City right now and are supposed to be returning in a few days.”

On hearing this, Mo Jingteng immediately opened his eyes and stared at Mo Zixuan, “Has Wen Ran’s illness been cured?”

He knew that Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran had gone abroad to seek medical treatment. However, Mo Jingteng only knew that Wen Ran was infertile and was not fully aware of her entire condition.
