Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 607: 606 Give them a surprise

Mo Xiuchen booked a flight for that evening.

After booking the flight, he called Gu Yan. Earlier at the hospital, Gu Yan had suggested that they return home first, as he had some matters to attend to and would stay behind for a few more days.

Wen Ran’s health was not fully restored yet. She still needed to take some medicine for a period of time to recuperate.

However, the virus planted in her body by Fu Jingyi had indeed been eradicated. The need for recuperation was due to the sudden worsening of her condition a few days ago, damaging several important organs in her body.

“Mo Xiuchen, don’t call Qin Mu. Let’s go home as a surprise, shall we?”

Mo Xiuchen had just finished packing and stood up when Wen Ran, who was beside him, hugged him from behind. She leaned her head on his broad back. She could not find words to describe her feelings at the moment. She felt that no words could express the emotion she felt at this moment. The only way she could think of was to hug him, feeling him, letting him that she loves him dearly.

Under the bright crystal chandelier, Mo Xiuchen slightly stiffened. There was a momentary sadness on his handsome face, but soon, the corner of his mouth twitched into a charming smile. He turned around and embraced Wen Ran, who originally had her arms around him.

He could understand her feelings at this moment. He tightened his grip on her arm a little, not to the point of hurting her, but very tightly.

Wen Ran didn’t move. She buried her head in his chest, tightly holding his slender waist, breathing in his masculine scent.

Mo Xiuchen didn’t say anything, just held her tightly.

Two hearts, so close at this moment, yet seemingly far away.

After a while, Wen Ran lifted her head from Mo Xiuchen’s chest, looked up at him with tender eyes, and softly said, “Mo Xiuchen, thank you!”

Mo Xiuchen’s eyebrows were gentle, his eyes tender. His defined hands caressed her white cheeks, stroking her skin with affection and pity. Then, he slowly leaned down and gently rested his lips on her forehead.

“Ranran, let’s go grab something to eat and then head to the airport.”

Mo Xiuchen paused his lips on her forehead for a few seconds, didn’t move down to continue kissing, just like that, he let go of her.

Wen Ran was slightly surprised, but she didn’t say or express it. She had thought that Mo Xiuchen would give her a deep kiss, since she was healthy now and would not resist him.

But he didn’t.

She was about to say something when Mo Xiuchen’s phone suddenly rang.

“Ranran, hold on, let me answer the phone.”

He let her go, took out his phone, and his eyes flickered slightly when he saw the incoming call. He answered the call calmly, stepping towards the window.

Wen Ran heard the voice of a woman on the phone from the other end. She didn’t care, checked the room to make sure she hadn’t left anything behind.

Halfway through the call, Mo Xiuchen looked back at her and then turned back around. Wen Ran blinked and stepped into the bathroom so she wouldn’t hear his conversation.

She spent a few minutes in the bathroom, imagining the look of surprise on Bai Xiaoxiao’s face when they arrived in A City.

When Wen Ran came out of the bathroom, Mo Xiuchen just hung up the phone. She smiled and asked, “Are we good to go?”

Mo Xiuchen nodded, walked over, holding her hand casually, and said, “Ranran, why didn’t you ask who called?”

Wen Ran frowned and asked playfully, “Who called you?”

Ha ha!

Mo Xiuchen was amused by her reaction, and he explained with pleasure, “Remember I mentioned to you this afternoon that apart from MS Group, Ah Feng, Ah Mu, and I have another company?”

“Yes, of course, I remember. I don’t have amnesia.” Wen Ran smiled with a twinkle in her eye. True, only when you’re healthy can you be in a good mood. Now that she was in good health, life felt so beautiful.

Mo Xiuchen held her hand as they left the room and headed towards the elevator, “The one who just called me is the person in charge of the company, reporting some work-related matters.”

“Oh!”

Wen Ran didn’t ask further, as the elevator arrived.

**

Even though they were both on a flight, the feelings on the return trip were completely different from when they left. Mo Xiuchen let Wen Ran rest, yet she was having high-spirits, saying cheerfully, “Mo Xiuchen, when we were coming, you watched me sleep. Now, on our way back, let’s switch. You can rest, and I’ll watch over you.”

Looking at her radiant smile, Mo Xiuchen felt a profound softness in his heart. He responded, “Okay, I’ll take a nap then. You entertain yourself.”

He did indeed want to take a nap. Not because he was tired, but simply because he wanted to close his eyes and ponder over some things.

“Sure, sleep peacefully. I’ll be here with you.”

As she spoke, Wen Ran even patted Mo Xiuchen’s head. The tone and movements were like coaxing a child.

During the nearly twenty-hour journey, she was so energetic that she didn’t sleep for a minute. Instead, Mo Xiuchen spent most of the time with his eyes closed, not knowing whether he was asleep or not.

When the plane landed in A City, it was just past nine o’clock.

“Ranran, you haven’t slept at all. Are you tired?”

Mo Xiuchen looked at Wen Ran’s faintly emerging dark circles. His brows slightly furrowed; his heart was filled with tenderness.

Wen Ran shook her head, her smile bright and charming, “Not tired. I haven’t been to A City in years, and so much has changed…” As she spoke, she was pointing out different areas to Mo Xiuchen, explaining how they used to look like and what they look like now.

Because they hadn’t informed Qin Mu of their arrival, Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran had to take a taxi.

“Ranran, I should call Ah Mu first. If we show up at his house and he’s not there, it would be a wasted trip.”

After thinking for a moment, Mo Xiuchen suggested to Wen Ran.

Wen Ran thought for a few seconds, then proposed, “How about we check into a hotel first, leave our stuff there, then call Qin Mu to find out where he is?”

To make her happy, Mo Xiuchen agreed to her idea. They went to a hotel he had stayed at before, which had excellent conditions and service.

Wen Ran insisted on pulling the luggage herself, Mo Xiuchen walked beside her. Unexpectedly, as soon as they entered the hotel, they ran into Bai Xiaoxiao exiting an elevator. Surprisingly, Luo Haofeng was with her!

“Ah! Ranran, why is it you!”

Wen Ran was surprised when she saw Bai Xiaoxiao but didn’t make a sound.

Bai Xiaoxiao let out a cry of surprise, rushing to hug her. She was so excited that Wen Ran wobbled when embraced, almost knocked down. Mo Xiuchen who was by her side watched with a hint of tension in his eyes, and his brows furrowed subtly.

Luo Haofeng also had a moment of shock, but quickly regained his composure. He walked over, smiling at Mo Xiuchen, “Mo Xiuchen, why didn’t you call before you came back?”

Mo Xiuchen narrowed his eyes, glanced at Bai Xiaoxiao who was hugging Wen Ran tightly, and then moved his gaze to Luo Haofeng, “Why are you here?”

Luo Haofeng gave a smirk, “I heard that Xiaoxiao was staying here, so I came to visit her.”
