Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 646: Chapter 465: Moving into Black Stone City and a Legendary Visit

In early winter, a thin layer of snow covered the peaks of the Black Stone Mountain Range. But to the south, adjacent to the mountains, a brand-new city was bursting forth from the earth with an almost savage vitality.

「Two weeks later.」

In Black Stone City, the Lord’s Mansion was finally completed after thousands of craftsmen and workers toiled day and night.

It was a fortress constructed entirely from the giant stones native to the Black Stone Mountain Range. Deep in color and incredibly hard, it reflected a cold, reserved light in the morning sun, projecting an aesthetic that was simple, solid, and powerful.

It boasted tall walls, wide watchtowers, and a colossal iron gate wide enough for three Mammoths to pass through side-by-side.

The great hall of the Lord’s Mansion, in particular, was large enough for a Hill Giant to move about freely inside.

Today was the day Raylo officially moved into the new Lord’s Mansion.

He stood on the highest balcony of the Lord’s Mansion. The morning breeze stirred his black hair, carrying with it the clamor of voices and the crisp sound of striking tools from the distant construction sites.

From this vantage point, the entirety of Black Stone City stretched out before him.

The ten-meter-high city walls had been joined, resembling a gray-black mountain range that held the entire city securely in its embrace.

Within the walls, wide, straight streets had already been paved, crisscrossing like a chessboard.

The foundational structures for the garrisons of the Sun Knight Order, the Moonlight Knight Order, and the newly established Black Stone Knight Order had also risen from the ground. Only some internal finishing work remained, which would be completed within a few days.

Countless workers bustled about within, while towering Mammoths dragged heavy blocks of stone, their footsteps dull and heavy.

The entire city was like a gigantic, vibrant heart, bursting with vigorous life with every beat.

”My Lord.”

Ed’s voice came from behind him.

”How are things with the Knight Orders?”

he asked.

”Everything is proceeding smoothly.”

Ed replied.

”The main construction on the three Knight Order garrisons is complete. We expect the Knights can move in in five days.”

Raylo nodded.

He walked over to a massive sand table, which displayed a miniature model of the entire Black Stone Territory.

The nascent Black Stone City sat at the juncture of the mountains and the plains, like a wedge driven firmly into the land.

”By the way, Ed.”

Raylo said.

”Yes, My Lord.”

”The Legendary Mages, Master Delin and Master Wendel, should arrive in the next day or two.”

Raylo stated.

”They will be bringing Avril and Lillian with them. I want you to personally arrange for their reception. Make sure there are absolutely no oversights.”

”Yes, My Lord!”

Ed’s expression turned solemn.

The personal visit of two Legendary Mages was an immense honor for any territory.

Raylo considered for a moment, then continued with his instructions.

”As for their food and drink, remember to ask the two Masters for their preferences.”

”I understand, My Lord.”

Having given all his instructions, Raylo once again turned his gaze out the window.

The Sun had risen, its golden radiance piercing the clouds and gilding the edges of the nascent city in a warm light.

Hope and new life.

This once-barren land was now radiating with unprecedented splendor in his hands.

「The next day.」

Before the sky brightened, Black Stone City awoke from its slumber.

Craftsmen headed for the construction sites, Knights began their morning training, and smoke from cooking fires rose from countless tents to merge with the cool morning air.

Everything was proceeding with its usual, orderly rhythm.

The Sun’s radiance pierced the eastern clouds, spilling across the land.

”What is that!”

A terrified scream echoed from a watchtower on the city walls.

Everyone instinctively looked up.

There, on the distant horizon, a colossal black shadow was breaking through the clouds at an astonishing speed.

The dark figure flew over Black Stone City, blocking the newly risen Sun and casting a vast shadow upon the ground.

Immediately after, a wave of scorching heat descended from the sky.

Atop the city walls, the soldiers on guard duty scrambled to their posts.

The Knights, who had just assembled for their patrol outside the city, hastily reined in their restless warhorses, drew their Long Swords, and stared nervously at the sky.

In an instant, the city’s peaceful morning switched to the tense, hair-trigger footing of wartime.

Raylo appeared at the window.

It was a dragon.

A majestic Giant Dragon, its body covered entirely in dark red scales.

With every flap of its wings, it left two long trails of Flame in the air.

Its scorching and tyrannical presence could make one’s heart pound with fear, even from several kilometers away.

A Domain Level Red Dragon!

”My Lord, should we ask Lord Sun to...”

Alex asked in a low voice from the side, his hand already resting on his sword hilt.

Raylo raised a hand, stopping him.

”That won’t be necessary. They are guests.”

The Red Dragon circled once over Black Stone City. Its eyes, as scorching as molten lava, seemed to be scrutinizing the nascent city while it snorted two jets of sulfurous, searing air from its nostrils.

Finally, under Raylo’s watchful gaze, it slowly descended, landing steadily on the massive plaza in front of the Lord’s Mansion—a square large enough to hold a gathering of several thousand people.

BOOM!

As its massive body touched down, the entire plaza trembled violently.

The gust of wind kicked up a cloud of dust, forcing the surrounding soldiers and subjects, who had just mustered the courage to spectate, to fall back, their faces filled with awe and terror.

The Red Dragon lowered its ferocious and proud head, and two figures leaped nimbly from its back.
