Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 413: Chapter 358: The Birth of the Flying Dragon Knight and the Possibility of a Flying Dragon Mage

As the Potion went down, it felt like a ball of molten lava surging down his throat.

”Ugh!”

Alex let out a suppressed grunt, his body starting to tremble violently.

He dropped to one knee, slamming his fist hard onto the solid stone tiles of the square. Spiderweb-like cracks instantly spread out.

The next moment, Fighting Spirit erupted from within him like a volcano!

His Fighting Spirit was no longer its usual calm, condensed self. It had become wild and turbulent, forming a violently spinning vortex around him. The vortex kicked up sand and stone from the ground, emitting a piercing shriek.

”Such overwhelming power!”

Ed, watching from the side, felt his pupils contract. He could clearly sense a new, entirely different power mixed into the Fighting Spirit—one filled with a primitive, majestic might.

The commotion was too great, and it quickly attracted the other Knights training in the square.

Whether they were Knights sparring or followers maintaining their weapons, they all stopped what they were doing and looked over in shock and confusion.

”It’s Vice Commander Alex!”

”What’s happening? Why is his Fighting Spirit... out of control?”

More and more people gathered at the edge of the square.

Raylo’s expression was calm; he just watched the changes in the center of the square quietly.

He could sense that the life force within Alex’s body was surging at an astonishing rate. His flesh, bones, and sinews were being brutally yet efficiently reshaped by the Power of the Giant Dragon.

「Three minutes passed.」

The rampaging Fighting Spirit that had been swirling around Alex suddenly faltered. Then, as if drawn by some invisible force, it began to converge frantically toward his back.

The crowd held their breath, watching as Alex’s gushing Fighting Spirit continuously compressed and condensed, slowly outlining the shape of enormous, nascent Dragon Wings.

VMMMM!

Accompanied by a strange hum of energy, a pair of Dragon Wings over five meters wide, translucent in texture and with complex patterns flowing within, unfurled brazenly behind Alex!

The Dragon Wings were not physical, yet they carried an unparalleled sense of pressure. Every slight flap sent a visible ripple of air through the atmosphere.

The square fell deathly silent. Everyone was so shocked by the unimaginable scene before them that they were speechless.

’Now!’

Alex abruptly raised his head, his eyes bloodshot. He tilted his head back and let out a long roar, filled with power and exhilaration.

”HRAAAGH!”

He pushed off forcefully with his legs, and the Fighting Spirit Dragon Wings behind him gave a mighty flap!

BOOM!

The stone tiles beneath his feet instantly turned to dust. His entire body shot into the sky like a cannonball.

”He’s... he’s flying!”

”Gods! He’s really flying!”

Cries of shock and cheers erupted from the ground like a tsunami.

The Knights tilted their heads back, their gazes fanatically following the figure rapidly circling in the sky.

This was completely different from the hovering ability one gained after advancing to a Sky Knight!

What Alex was doing now was true ”flight”!

Each flap of his wings was filled with explosive power. His speed and agility even surpassed that of some Flying Magical Beasts.

Alex steered his Dragon Wings, excitedly flying a high-speed lap around Black Stone Castle.

The wind howled past his ears as the ground receded below. The feeling of being completely free from the earth’s grasp was almost intoxicating.

He saw the Lord’s calm figure at the highest point of the castle, and he saw the excited, envious faces of the Knights in the square below.

An unprecedented surge of pride and heroism welled up in his heart.

After showing off the power of his Flying Dragon Wings to his heart’s content, Alex began to descend slowly, finally landing smoothly back in the center of the square.

With a thought, the Fighting Spirit Dragon Wings began to turn ethereal, dissolving into specks of light that flowed back into his body like weary birds returning to their nest.

Everything returned to peace, as if the Flying Dragon Knight soaring through the sky just now had been nothing but an illusion.

But the still-unsettled aura around Alex and the shock on everyone’s faces proved that a miracle had truly occurred.

”It worked! I did it!”

Alex clenched his fists, feeling the ceaseless power surging within him, his face alight with irrepressible ecstasy.

”See? I told you so.”

Master Barnaby smugly scratched his bird’s-nest-like hair, puffed out his chest, and said to Raylo.

”My Alchemy is never wrong. See? The wings extend and retract freely, with no side effects.”

Raylo glanced at him but didn’t indulge the smug Alchemy Master.

Just as everyone thought the ritual was over and was about to step forward to congratulate him, Alex’s expression suddenly changed.

He didn’t have time to say more and immediately sat down cross-legged.

”It’s not over yet!”

He let out a low shout, a flash of determination in his eyes.

”There’s still some power left from the Potion. It’s perfect... to give me one last push!”

Everyone’s heart skipped a beat as they realized what Alex was trying to do.

He was going to use the residual power of this Bloodline Potion to, in one fell swoop, break through the insurmountable barrier that had plagued countless Earth Knights for their entire lives.

Tier Four Sky Knight!

Alex closed his eyes, and the Fighting Spirit inside him was mobilized once again.

This time, it wasn’t erupting outward, but converging inward, gathering into torrents that frantically slammed against some invisible barrier within his body.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Invisible roars echoed in his Spiritual World. Each impact made his body tremble violently, and sweat instantly soaked his clothes and armor.

Fusing with a bloodline was one thing, but attempting a breakthrough on the spot was another matter entirely.
