Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 412: Chapter 357: The Duke Slays a Lion in 3 Moves and the Flying Dragon Bloodline Potion

”My Lord, a messenger just arrived from Master Barnaby. He urges you to come to the Alchemy Workshop at once. He says... he says there’s a miracle for you to witness firsthand.”

’A miracle?’

Raylo raised an eyebrow.

’The good news is finally here!’

Without hesitation, he set aside his work, rose to his feet, and strode toward the Alchemy Workshop.

Before he even entered, a rich and peculiar aroma wafted out to meet him, mingled with a faint trace of what felt like an ancient, primordial Dragon Mighty.

Inside, the Alchemy Workshop was as cluttered as ever.

Tall distillation racks billowed with colorful steam, and crystal beakers bubbled and gurgled over Magic Flames.

Master Barnaby stood before the central Alchemy Platform. His signature gray Mage Robe had a few new scorch marks, and his bird’s nest of hair was even more disheveled than usual, but his eyes were shining with astonishing brightness.

”Raylo, my boy! You’re here! Quick, come see this!”

The moment he saw Raylo, Master Barnaby held up a Crystal Bottle from the Alchemy Platform as if presenting a priceless treasure.

The bottle was filled with a deep red liquid, as viscous as a molten Ruby. Under the light of the workshop’s Magic Lamps, countless tiny golden motes seemed to drift slowly within it.

”Is this... Did you succeed?”

Raylo’s eyes were also captivated by the Potion.

”More than a success! It’s a miracle!”

The Mage Marlin, standing nearby, also drew closer, his expression filled with the same shock and wonder.

”I witnessed its creation firsthand. It was unbelievable!”

Master Barnaby carefully handed the Crystal Bottle to Raylo.

”A Tier Four Flying Dragon Bloodline Potion! We finally did it! Using the blood of a Wind God Winged Dragon as the main ingredient, combined with dozens of precious Magic Materials, and after hundreds of failures, we’ve finally created the first finished bottle!”

As a Tier Five Domain Level Magical Beast, the Wind God Winged Dragon possessed a higher bloodline concentration and more abundant energy. When used to create a Tier Four Flying Dragon Bloodline Potion, it was bound to be more effective than using a Tier Four Sub-Dragon Species Magical Beast.

In the world of Alchemy, one could use high-tier ingredients to craft Low Tier Potions, but it was impossible to use low-tier ingredients to craft High Tier Potions.

Master Barnaby took a deep breath and instructed Raylo.

”Raylo, my boy, go get an Earth Knight or a Sky Knight! We need to witness the effects of this miracle Potion together!”

Raylo nodded and gave an order to the Personal Guard at his side.

”Go and bring Alex to the square in Black Stone Castle.”

”Yes, My Lord!”

Then, Raylo said to Barnaby and Marlin.

”Let’s go to the square and wait for him. It’s too cramped in here.”

The group, carrying the precious Potion, made their way to the square of Black Stone Castle.

On the way, Master Barnaby didn’t stop talking, rambling on about the hardships and discoveries of the development process.

”Raylo, my boy, you have no idea! The bloodline of that Wind God Winged Dragon you hunted... it’s incredibly strange!”

Master Barnaby waved his arms, spittle flying in his excitement.

”At first, I tried to process it using the standard formula for purifying draconic blood, but I failed every single time! I blew up seven alchemy crucibles!”

Raylo listened quietly, knowing the important part was yet to come.

”Then I discovered it! The source of its bloodline wasn’t a conventional Domain Level Magical Beast at all! Deep within its blood, an extremely pure and potent Power of the Giant Dragon lay dormant.”

”It’s as if... as if it was originally just an ordinary creature, but some unimaginably powerful being forcibly purified and elevated its entire bloodline, allowing it to instantly become a mighty Tier Five Domain Level Magical Beast!”

As he spoke, an almost fanatical longing filled Master Barnaby’s eyes.

”Purifying a bloodline! Good heavens, that’s a power only legendary Catastrophe Level Giant Dragons possess! My Lord, if... if I could get just one bottle of that Catastrophe Level Giant Dragon’s blood—no, half a bottle would be enough! I guarantee I could craft a genuine Tier Five, or perhaps even a legendary Tier Six Giant Dragon Potion for you!”

Raylo didn’t break his stride, but his mind was reeling.

’A Catastrophe Level Giant Dragon?’

’Purifying a bloodline?’

’It seems the power of the Jade Dragon Emperor, the overlord of the outer Endless Forest Sea, is truly unfathomable. To think it could elevate a Wind God Winged Dragon from a mere Tier Four Magical Beast to the Tier Five Domain Level.’

Soon, they arrived at the square.

Before long, Alex arrived, walking with long, purposeful strides.

”My Lord! You sent for me!”

Alex’s voice was booming.

”Alex.”

Raylo gestured to the Crystal Bottle in Master Barnaby’s hands.

”Master Barnaby has made a breakthrough with his Bloodline Potions. This is the fruit of the last few months of labor: a Tier Four Flying Dragon Bloodline Potion. Drinking it will awaken the bloodline of a Flying Dragon.”

Alex’s gaze was instantly fixed on the shimmering Potion, and his breathing grew ragged.

As one of the Knights who had sworn fealty to Raylo, he had personally witnessed the creation of the Earth Dragon Knights and Dragon Lizard Knights. He craved this transformative Magic Potion more than anyone.

”Flying Dragon Bloodline Potion.”

Master Barnaby stepped forward, showcasing his masterpiece.

”A Tier Four Advanced Potion! If you successfully integrate it, you’ll gain part of a Flying Dragon’s Power! Your Fighting Spirit will become more refined, and your physical attributes will improve across the board! Most importantly, you’ll gain the ability to manifest Flying Dragon Wings using your Fighting Spirit, allowing you to soar through the heavens without a Flying Magical Beast!”

A Sky Knight!

Alex’s eyes lit up instantly, filled with a burning desire.

”Master, I’m willing to try!” he said without a moment’s hesitation.

”Master Barnaby.”

Raylo’s calm voice cut in.

”You’ve told us the benefits. What are the risks?”

Unlike the previous Earth Dragon and Dragon Lizard Bloodline Potions, this Flying Dragon Bloodline Potion was a Tier Four Advanced Potion. The energy it contained, and therefore the risk, was on a completely different level.

”Risks?”

Master Barnaby waved his hand dismissively, as if he’d just heard a joke.

”There are no risks! My Lord, do you doubt my Alchemy?”

Seeing Raylo’s unconvinced expression, he added, his confidence wavering slightly.

”Well... if you insist, there is a tiny, minuscule, practically negligible chance that he might... sprout a pair of wings.”

He paused, then added in a whisper.

”The kind you can’t retract.”

The atmosphere in the square instantly turned awkward.

Raylo rubbed the bridge of his nose. ’I knew it,’ he thought.

He said thoughtfully.

”Alright, let’s pick one of the Earth Knights who defected from the Fiery Sun Kingdom to...”

”My Lord!”

Alex, who had always strictly observed the etiquette of a subordinate, interrupted Raylo for the first time, his eyes filled with unwavering resolve.

”Please, let it be me! I volunteer to be the first to try it!”

He looked at Master Barnaby, his voice filled with trust and respect.

”I trust Master Barnaby’s Alchemy Skills! We have witnessed so many miracles since he joined the Black Stone Territory! I believe this time will be no different.”

Alex’s voice rang with conviction.

”For the Black Stone Territory, and to become the sharpest spear in your hand, My Lord, I am willing to take any risk!”

With his nigh-miraculous Alchemy, Master Barnaby had won over everyone in the Black Stone Territory since the day he joined.

Seeing the determination in Alex’s eyes, Raylo fell silent.

’These Knights of mine... they seem a little too desperate for power.’

Raylo knew that both Ed and Alex worried most about not being able to keep up with his progress.

With that thought, Raylo granted Alex’s request.

Permission granted, a fervent light blazed in Alex’s eyes.

He turned to Master Barnaby and solemnly extended both hands.

Master Barnaby cleared his throat and handed over the Crystal Bottle, which seemed to swirl with starlight.

”Feel the pulse of a Giant Dragon, Knight.”

Alex accepted the Potion. The bottle was warm to the touch. The immense Power contained within felt alive, its violent throbbing palpable even through the Crystal.

Without the slightest hesitation, he uncorked the bottle, tilted his head back, and downed the entire Potion in one go.
