Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4291: What is The Way? I

Noah melted into the background, his figure becoming a whisper in a symphony of roaring power!

Some existences went about their lives without wanting to be seen, content in their quiet corners of reality. Others, however, moved with a grace and a purpose that was a declaration in itself, a demand to be witnessed, to be admired, to be feared.

Right now, Noah was in the shadows, and from this vantage point, he watched a terrifying conflict begin in the most unexpected way possible!

After the grand, theatrical declaration from Valkyrie Anastasia, the battlefield fell into a profound, anticipatory silence.

She floated there, a fiery jewel against the dark canvas of the First Folds, her gaze fixed on the distant, golden walls of Aethelgard.

A piercing smile touched her lips, an expression of pure, unadulterated confidence.

This was not a war to her. It was a game.

But it was not a fucking game!

System Analysis Initiating: [The War for Aethelgard].

Primary Combatants:

- [The Gilgamesh Sovereignty]: Offensive Force. Primary strength lies in the widespread implementation of the [Principles], [Living Astral Codex] system, [Glyphs]...

- [The Early Laboratories]: Attacking Force. Primary strength lies in the mass-produced [Living Existential Armor – Justiciar Model], [Principles], [Glyphs]...

...!

And the battle had truly begun!

Because in the next moment, hidden in the shadows of his own, self-imposed obscurity, Noah’s eyes, now windows of pure, analytical data, captured an event of impossible, terrible beauty.

On the Rampart of Aethelgard, the Elder Early Creatures, beings like Forgemaster Vulcan whose very presence was a law of nature, moved as one.

It was not a coordinated attack, but a symphony of synchronized, absolute will!

Their hands rose in unison, and from the very fabric of their beings, a new, brilliant light bloomed from their Grimoires!

HUUM!

They were activating their Living Astral Codexes!

It was a glorious, terrifying sight.

Above the heads of fifteen of these ancient titans, illusory Astral Arcana Glyphs materialized, each one a shimmering, conceptual card of pure, ordered light.

They were windows into different, impossible realities, each depicting a unique wonder, a different instrument of destruction.

Some were identical, a testament to a shared arsenal, a common, terrible tool in their collective toolbox.

Fifteen [Astral Arcana Glyphs] have been activated simultaneously.

Rarity Assessment: All Glyphs appear to be of [Rare] or [Uncommon] classification.

Analysis in progress. I am attempting to capture their existential signatures as they form...

The sky above the First Folds, a swirling, chaotic canvas of nascent Wheels and forgotten concepts, was torn asunder.

From the blooming Glyphs, the summons began.

From one, a mountain erupted into existence!

A mountain!

Not a projection, but a real, physical thing of impossible scale, its peak scraping against the very firmament of the Fold.

It was a titan of granite and primordial rage, and its single, baleful eye, a molten core of pure, elemental fury, fixed on the approaching legion of Justiciars.

Then, it fell!

BOOOM!

From another, an ancient, colossal tree, its bark the color of polished obsidian, its leaves a storm of razor-sharp, silver blades, burst into being.

It did not attack with fire or light, but with a wave of pure, conceptual silence, a sound-dampening field that sought to erase the very war cries of their enemies!

A third summoned a glacier, a moving continent of absolute-zero ice that was not just cold, but was the very concept of stillness given form.

A fourth birthed a swarm of a billion crystalline locusts, each one a tiny, buzzing engine of consumption.

They came, a pageant of primordial horrors, a menagerie of weaponized concepts!

It was glorious!

It was magisterial!

A skeletal mammoth wreathed in temporal frost, its every step a wave of aging.

A vortex of pure, spatial distortion that sought to fold the Justiciars in on themselves. A single, colossal, golden gavel that descended with the weight of an absolute, unappealable verdict!

The fifteen Astral Arcana Glyphs unleashed their power, a tidal wave of destruction that would have washed away entire Folds.

Before this impossible onslaught, Valkyrie Anastasia’s confident, playful smile instantly vanished, replaced by a mask of pure, incandescent rage.

”You fuckers!” she bellowed, her voice a shriek of pure, unadulterated fury.

In the next instant, the thousands of Justiciars behind her moved as one. They did not raise shields; they became the shield.

Their pristine white armor flared with a light so bright it was a physical presence. They interlocked, their forms a perfect, seamless wall of absolute, unyielding Purity. It was a fortress of will, a bastion of unified, technological might!

The fifteen attacks crashed against it.

BOOM!

The mountain shattered. The glacial mammoth dissolved into a cloud of temporal dust. The gavel of judgment was met, and for a single, terrible moment, held. The wall of Justiciars groaned, the light of their unified defense flickering, but it did not break.

They withstood it all, a silent, defiant testament to their own, terrible power.

But... the cost was immense. As the last of the astral attacks faded, as the summoned creatures and concepts dissolved back into the nothing from which they came, a horrifying, mechanical shudder ran through the ranks of the Justiciars.

Nearly half of them began to spasm, their white armor flickering with a chaotic, unstable light. They had used an unfathomable amount of their own internal energy, of their Everythings- a desperate, all-or-nothing defense that had left them on the brink of systemic collapse.

Half of those who had stepped up...were put out of service!

The first clash was over.

And the Elder Early Creatures of Aethelgard, with their ancient, terrible magic, had taken the lead.

Noah watched, his mind a silent quintessential engine of analysis. The Astral Arcana Glyphs were powerful, yes. But they had a cooldown. A limitation.

And yet, if these Elder Early Creatures held dozens, hundreds of such cards in their arsenal, did that limitation truly matter? Their power was genuine. Terrible. And very, very real!

Master, I was able to capture and analyze the full existential signatures of three of the [Rare] Arcana used in the initial assault.

Their power is... considerable. And their mechanics are unique. This is a system of profound strategic potential.

...!
