Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian lowered her eyes and listened to these people speaking in a language she couldn’t understand. She understood what they said through White Crane’s translation.

She moved her fingers slightly and replied to White Crane by writing the words, ”We’ll be fine.”

Nothing would happen to them. The problem was this group of criminals.

A gunman left. Soon, he drove over an old pickup truck and urged the three of them into the pickup truck. The journey was bumpy as they continued to the north.

If they continued north, they would enter the northernmost hinterland. If they continued north, they would reach the border and enter other countries’ territory.

There were no roads for cars to pass through in the northernmost hinterland. They followed the weathered dirt roads that were filled with gravel. This was the path that led to the northernmost hinterland and the dangerous centers where mountains and steep ridges were hidden.

There was almost no greenery in the northernmost part. All they could see were gray mountains. The trees that grew in the mountains were short and sparse. Even their leaves were grayish-white. The sky was clear and the mountains were gray. These two completely different colors painted the most beautiful scenery.

The three of them were tied up like livestock in the middle of the back compartment. The outlaws holding guns were sitting around them. Their fierce and cold gazes would sweep across them from time to time to prevent the three of them from escaping.

At the same time, the two cleaners at the airport handed the three camouflage bags that had been thrown on the ground one and a half hours ago to the front desk of the airport service.

It was common to lose luggage at the airport. Without thinking too much, the front desk staff opened the bags and tried to find the information of the passengers who lost their luggage.

After they took out three identification documents from the three bags, the front desk staff looked at them for a while before contacting the security center through the intercom to report this matter.

There were two military IDs, one military school student ID, three desert combat camouflage uniforms, three pairs of rubber military boots, and three plane tickets.

The highly vigilant security staff immediately handed it over to the airport police. As soldiers, it was impossible for them to be so careless that they lost their luggage. Moreover, all three of them lost their luggage at the same time.

They had to have done it on purpose.

Why did they do it on purpose?

A policeman recognized the three people on the identification document and asked the staff member they found the bags. He used his fastest speed to check the surveillance cameras at that time to look for clues.

Recently, the city of Accra had been very chaotic. Almost all the police had been mobilized. Even the soldiers of the armed police unit were patrolling in plain clothes, especially at the location where the traffic was concentrated.

Now, three soldiers suddenly appeared and lost their luggage at the same time. When the police saw their luggage, they immediately realized that something was wrong.

The surveillance footage was quickly retrieved. The three of them met in the airport lobby and walked out together.

”Check Camera No. 6…¦”

When the person-in-charge of the security center saw the two of them walking out of the lobby door, he immediately knew which surveillance cameras outside were filming at a closer distance.

The footage from that particular surveillance camera was pulled out immediately. In less than a minute, they saw three figures. A taxi stopped. The first time they tried to open the door, it was locked. Through the surveillance footage, the police could tell that the three soldiers were suspicious.

The taxi didn’t drive away immediately. After about ten seconds, the soldiers were let in and the car drove away.

The man in the front passenger seat moved his right hand. The male and female soldiers in the back nodded at almost the same time as if they were communicating.

”They must’ve realized that something was amiss. The officer in the front passenger seat reminded his comrades in the back.”

”They’re very vigilant, but why did they still get in when they knew that there was a problem? If only they had informed the duty point at that time. They could have subdued the driver immediately.”

”They could clearly subdue the driver, but they didn’t do anything or ask for help. It’s very likely that they discovered something and pretended to not know anything.”
