Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Du Jiayi had never been polite to Li Jinnian. That was because when she was young, Second Old Madam Li had pointed at Li Jinnian and said to her, ”Jiayi, you have to remember my words. Li Jinnian is an annoying fellow. He wants to snatch everything good from you.

”He’ll snatch your delicious snacks now, and he’ll snatch the things Grandpa will be leaving for you in the future. He’ll also snatch your siblings’ things!”

When Second Old Madam Li taught Du Jiayi these words, Du Jiayi was only five years old. However, it was the right time to teach her. It was the easiest time to lead a child astray.

From then on, Du Jiayi remembered every word, especially when Second Old Madam Li said, ”You must remember not to treat the fellow who’ll snatch your things nicely. You must let him know how powerful you are so that he won’t dare to snatch your things in the future. Also, you can snatch the good things in his hands too, do you understand?”

As it turned out, as long as she was a little fierce and domineering, she would be able to scare Li Jinnian, who wanted to snatch her things away. She would be able to get more and better things. She would also be able to get the good things that originally belonged to Li Jinnian.

Du Jiayi had always been doing this and had tasted the sweetness of victory.

Every time she made a fuss, everyone, including her uncle, would stand beside her and reprimand Li Jinnian for not giving in to his younger cousin. Every time, Li Jinnian would have no choice but to give her the thing in his hand. No matter what it was, even if she didn’t like it, she would get it as long as she made a fuss.

If she got what she liked, she would keep it. If she didn’t like it, it didn’t matter. She could do whatever she wanted with it.

In any case, the adults wouldn’t pursue things with her because she was still young.

Li Jinnian was much more unlucky than her. Every time, he would be scolded until he had no choice but to lower his head and apologize to her. Every time, she would get her grandmother’s approval and get good things from her.

Later on, as Li Jinnian got older, she got older too. No matter how much she quarreled, it didn’t work. Li Jinnian would just ignore her and walk around her when he saw her, not giving her a chance to attack.

However, the more she thought about it, the more she wanted to see his angry expression.

Unexpectedly, Li Jinnian became smarter after he entered junior high. He didn’t even return home after he started school. He would go to the Fu family’s residence during the holidays and wouldn’t return to the Li family’s residence at all. She couldn’t find any chance to bully him.

Every time she thought about it, she felt that it was a pity that Li Jinnian wasn’t easier to bully.

Even as she got older, Du Jiayi didn’t think there was a problem with her past behavior. Instead, she knew that without Li Jinnian, her family and her uncle’s family would inherit more of Old Master Li’s assets.

Among them were… the countless antiques that Grandpa collected when he was a warlord. Grandma said that these antiques were all monopolized by Grandpa. Those who were chased out by Grandpa wouldn’t even get a teacup.

Now, all the antiques were in Grandpa’s hands. Any one of them was priceless.

Du Jiayi was glad that she knew how to snatch things from Li Jinnian since she was young. This caused Old Master Li to hate his biological grandson more and more. It was also because of this that she would say sarcastic words every time she saw Li Jinnian.

Instead of realizing that her actions were wrong, she thought that she was doing the right thing.

Now that she had stopped Li Jinnian, she wasn’t afraid at all. She even raised her chin and said sharp words with contempt.

This was the reason why Li Jinnian didn’t want Ye Jian to see this.
