Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 448: Chapter 448: Sumeru Dark Realm, Nowhere to be Found

”Master, these bodies of the Immortal honoring practitioners... You don’t need them, right?”

After glancing at Ye Yun, the Immortal Divine Silkworm hesitated and spoke.

”They’re of no use to me. You can take all this blood and flesh.”

Ye Yun smiled lightly.

This little guy’s cultivation base was not high, only at the Divine Monarch Realm, so it was no match at all for the six Immortal honoring practitioners. Since its ninth reincarnation, it had been guarding these six living people for who knows how long; it must have been starving by now.

So after Ye Yun killed the six Immortal honoring practitioners, this little fellow became somewhat impatient and sent out a clone to secretly absorb some of the energy from the flesh and blood. Although very covert, it was still discovered by Ye Yun. That was what led to the subsequent events. If the Immortal Divine Silkworm hadn’t been so impatient, Ye Yun would have indeed had a hard time discovering it.

”Thank you, Master!”

The Immortal Divine Silkworm called out excitedly. It spat out a few silver threads from its mouth, shooting towards the six bodies, wrapping them and then pulling them back. Its upper body suddenly enlarged, and it opened its massive mouth to swallow all the bodies into its stomach.

Ye Yun silently nodded. The bodies of these six Immortal honoring practitioners were a great supplement for the Immortal Divine Silkworm, which would ensure it wouldn’t lack energy for a long time.

After feasting, the Immortal Divine Silkworm shrank back to a size of one meter and obediently lay next to Ye Yun.

Liu Yiyi also watched with fascination from the side. The origins of this Immortal Divine Silkworm were very mysterious. Brother Yun hadn’t told her, and she hadn’t thought to ask either.

This time, Ye Yun was about to leave the Divine Land and return to Cangnan Continent. Liu Yiyi made up her mind to seclude herself for a hundred years and make a qualitative breakthrough in the Binary Sword Chant.

”Let’s go!”

Ye Yun took Liu Yiyi’s hand and flew towards the entrance of the Cloud Mark Cave. The Immortal Divine Silkworm followed closely.

After leaving the Cloud Mark Cave, Ye Yun tore the void open and quickly returned to the Jianyun Sect.

”Yiyi, focus on your cultivation. It won’t take a hundred years; I’ll come back for you.”

Ye Yun held Liu Yiyi’s hand and spoke affectionately.

”Brother Yun, rest assured, I will work hard in my cultivation.”

Liu Yiyi spoke with determination.

”Good.”

Ye Yun smiled, his heart greatly comforted. Liu Yiyi, with her Sword Infatuation, was fully concentrated. Once she began her closed-door cultivation, a hundred years would pass in the blink of an eye, so he had no need to worry about her.

In the Bamboo Building at the back mountain, Ye Yun stayed with Liu Yiyi for another half a day, then went to the Ninth Courtyard.

”Little Dragon, come out!”

Ye Yun called out softly at the door.

”I’m coming, Master!”

Hearing Ye Yun’s voice, the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon was overjoyed, immediately rushed out the door, and appeared before Ye Yun.

When it saw a white silkworm floating next to Ye Yun, it paused for a moment. After sensing the other’s cultivation base, the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon’s face instantly turned green. Another inscrutable demon beast, much more powerful than him.

”This is the Immortal Divine Silkworm, and this is the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon. From now on, you are both demon beasts of my Dragon God Sect,” Ye Yun said softly, introducing them to each other.

Immortal Divine Silkworm? After listening to the Master’s words, the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon was shocked. Just hearing the name was terrifying. Could it be a truly immortal, terrifying Divine Beast?

After a few seconds of shock, the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon smiled awkwardly and greeted politely, ”Nice to meet you, Senior!”

”No need to be so polite.”

The Immortal Divine Silkworm also nodded humbly in response.

”Alright, let’s return to Cangnan Continent now.”

Ye Yun smiled lightly, immediately ripped open space, and took the two demon beasts away from the Jianyun Sect.

After passing through the Ancient Road to Heaven, Ye Yun returned to the Cangnan Continent once again. He floated over the ocean outside this ”colossal sea island.” Gazing at the azure sea and inhaling the familiar scent, Ye Yun took a deep breath, feeling an indescribable comfort in his heart. Although the Divine Land was great, with its Spiritual Energy rich in Divine Nature, the Cangnan Continent, after all, was his hometown. Every time he returned, he experienced profound sentiments.

”Master, this world’s Spiritual Energy does not contain any Divine Nature?” the Immortal Divine Silkworm said in shock.

”Yes, this is the Cangnan Continent. The Spiritual Energy here is just like this,” Ye Yun nodded and said.

The Immortal Divine Silkworm stopped speaking upon hearing this, its two antennae continuously probing the air for something.

”Master, there seems to be something strange about this place?” the Immortal Divine Silkworm suddenly said.

”What have you found?” Ye Yun asked with interest.

This Immortal Divine Silkworm, although its lineage was very diluted, traced back to an ancestor of an Immortal Level demon beast. It possessed some Innate Divine Abilities and was not to be underestimated.

The Immortal Divine Silkworm solemnly said, ”I can’t be certain right now, but it seems like there is a dreadful aura coming from a certain place deep underground.”

”Hmm!” Ye Yun nodded. The Immortal Divine Silkworm’s words were definitely not baseless; there was likely some truth to them.

”Don’t move. I need to examine your body first,” Ye Yun suddenly said.

”Oh...”

The Immortal Divine Silkworm immediately floated mid-air, not daring to move a muscle. It had already surrendered to this white-robed Master from the depths of its soul.

Ye Yun’s Divine Sense entered the Immortal Divine Silkworm’s body. After a careful search, he did not find the Ancestral Dragon’s Curse. It seemed the Ancestral Dragon’s Curse hadn’t affected the Immortal Divine Silkworm. Ye Yun found this remarkable and was also somewhat puzzled.

Could it be... Did the Ancestor Dragon only curse the spiritual cultivators of the Divine Land? Or was it that the Immortal Divine Silkworm’s bloodline didn’t attract the attention of the Ancestral Dragon’s Curse?

All of these were possibilities. However, Ye Yun planned to first visit the Sumeru Dark Realm. The Sumeru Dark Realm was the world where the Dark Dragon Clan resided in Ancient Times. It was hidden deep within the skies in the heart of the Cangnan Continent and had never materialized in the human world. Ye Yun was also curious and wanted to see what it was like inside. At the same time, if the Dark Divine Dragon’s younger brother was still alive, he intended to rescue him from his imprisonment.

Once again tearing through the void, Ye Yun arrived at a central region of the Cangnan Continent. He stayed deep in the void, sensing the surrounding space, but he did not detect any trace of a small world’s presence. So, he took out a Token, and after infusing his Mana into it, Ye Yun tried to find the Sumeru Dark Realm in the void. However, the depths of space were utterly empty; there wasn’t even a ghostly trace of the Sumeru Dark Realm.

Ye Yun did not lose heart. This was because the current Cangnan Continent’s area had shrunk countless times compared to the Dragon Hidden Continent of Ancient Times. Perhaps its central point had already undergone some kind of change, and the Sumeru Dark Realm had shifted its location.

Ye Yun continuously tore through the void, persistently searching for the Sumeru Dark Realm in locations he speculated, but to his disappointment, he did not find it.

After searching a hundred times, Ye Yun finally decided to give up. Too much time had passed. Who knew where this Sumeru Dark Realm had drifted to? Or perhaps, it had long since been destroyed in the flames of war.

Ye Yun decided to put this matter aside for now and deal with it later. He had to return to the Nether Immortal Dynasty first to see how the little ones were doing. After all, on this trip to the Divine Land, he had stayed for a full three months or more. This was the longest he had ever been away from the Cangnan Continent.
